Kaizer Chiefs: Percy Tau invites offer at a good price!

Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with Percy Tau for several seasons. Now, he is inviting an offer. Kaizer Chiefs are linked with several red-hot transfer targets. Now, Percy Tau has thrown his name in the hat. To make matters even more interesting, Tau is willing to accept a rate that is very affordable to Amakhosi. In a recent interview with Robert Marawa on 947's MSW Tau expressed his willingness to join Chiefs. So, he was asked if he would accept an offer from Amakhosi for R450 000 a month on a two year deal. Thereafter, he responded ' Perfect ,' which not only implies he is interested in a move to Chiefs but also that it would be ideal. Moreover, the fact that he is willing to go for R450k a month speaks volumes. The Bafana Bafana attacker is willing to take a drastic pay-cut to join Amakhosi. Meaning, he is serious about the potential prospect of joining Chiefs. Unfortunately, Chiefs do not seem interested. They recently confirmed that they are not interested having learnt from the past. Amakhosi have spent big money on the likes of Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly with dissapointing returns. So, they no longer want to sign older players for big money. However, Tau is open to accepting a package of R450k a month which is much lower than that of Billiat (R900k+) and Dolly, who reportedly made over R1 million a season. Meanwhile, these are the players Nasreddine Nabi is interested in bringing to Chiefs. Let us know by leaving a comment below or sending a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Kaizer Chiefs not interested in signing Percy Tau

NOT INTERESTED Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly not interested in signing Percy Tau despite his openness to a R450k monthly salary, citing strategic team plans. Picture: BackpagePix In the explosive chat, Marawa acting as hypothetical Chiefs management said: "I offer you R450,000 a month. Do you accept?" Following a revealing Percy Tau interview with Robert Marawa on 94.7 on Wednesday when the player said he would be open to being offered a R450k salary per month at Kaizer Chiefs , a new report reveals that the Soweto Giants may not be interested in the forward. Reset restore all settings to the default values Done Beginning of dialog window. Escape will cancel and close the window. Kaizer Chiefs' Interest in Percy Tau: Uncertainty Surrounds Transfer Rumours It seemed then all but confirmed that Chiefs would be ready to sign the player. However, a Soccer Laduma report quoting an undisclosed source seemed to indicate the opposite. "We hope most people listened to that interview and they heard what Percy Tau said,' the source said. 'It wasn't (just) about Chiefs. It's believed that the club is not interested in him. And again it's not about the R450k salary or the two-year salary. It's about what Chiefs' football department and the technical team are looking at for their plans and the players they are looking at and at the moment Percy Tau is not that player. 'Apparently he is not better than what Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly were at the same stage when they signed them. Chiefs want to avoid making the same mistakes they did in the past.' Last week, Chiefs announced the departure of Chivaviro, who has left the club with immediate effect. The forward joined Chiefs in June 2023, and the club chose not to extend his two-year contract. In total, Chivaviro has made 45 appearances for Chiefs while scoring nine goals. Chivaviro did not reach his full potential with Chiefs, as he struggled with injury during the 2023/2024 season. Chiefs completed another deflating season in the Betway Premiership as they ended ninth, their second league campaign in a row in which they finished outside the top eight. @Michael_Sherman IOL Sport

Percy Tau reveals salary he would accept from Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs have previously been linked with Percy Tau and they could now sign him for free this window. Chiefs have been touted as long-term admirers of Tau but question marks remain over finally signing him. Tau recently parted ways with his new side Qatar SC, this after a very short stint with the Qatari side. After only joining from Al Ahly in January, The South African international played just 10 times for the club, in an injury ravaged spell. He failed to find the back of the net during his time there, but was able to register four assists in the process. Tau proved to be one of several exits announced by the club on Thursday, including head coach Mehdi Natfi. Several other players; Ben Malango, Javi Martinez, Badr Benoun, Carlinhos Vinicius and Ahmed Abdelkader, who's loan ends and returns to Al Ahly. It now remains to be seen where the Lion of Judah ends up next as he becomes a free agent. Before signing for Qatar, however, there had been rumours of interesting in Iran, North Africa as well as South Africa. On home soil it has been Chiefs who have prominently been linked with the player over the years. During the previous close season, it was claimed that Amakhosi had made inquiries and even bids for Tau, but could not meet Al Ahly's valuation. With Tau being a free agent and admitting he grew up supporting Chiefs, he names a salary he would accept. This in a conversation with Robert Marawa on MSW on Wednesday evening. The Lion of Judah speaks about being a 'reasonable guy' and that he is open to negotiating. In the end he claimed he would accept R450k a month in a two-year deal with an option to renew. City Power urges residents to use electricity sparingly as we enter ‘critical period'

There are no public holidays in May, while there is only one in June, and that is when the winter season starts. City Power has called on residents to continue using electricity sparingly. This is as the city enters a 'critical' period, during which the demand for electricity is expected to increase as South Africans return to working full weeks. April had several public holidays, which spilt into May, with only three working days in the last week. It has called on all residents and businesses to take the following measures to reduce demand: Switch off all non-essential appliances Avoid using high-consumption equipment like geysers, pool pumps and heaters during peak hours (6am–9am and 5pm–9pm) Unplug devices not in use 'Your cooperation is vital to sustaining the power supply and preventing further disruptions. Preliminary investigations indicated that another incident of suspected cable theft and vandalism may have caused the fire. City Power says this is a growing trend linked to the criminal activities of zama-zamas operating in the Inner City underground tunnels. 'These groups, often violent and heavily armed, continue to pose a serious threat to critical power infrastructure and the safety of our personnel,' said City Power on Thursday. On Sunday, it said the process of clearing debris from the underground tunnels was progressing well.
