Kaizer Chiefs: Percy Tau invites offer at a good price!

Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with Percy Tau for several seasons. Now, he is inviting an offer.
Kaizer Chiefs are linked with several red-hot transfer targets.
Now, Percy Tau has thrown his name in the hat. To make matters even more interesting, Tau is willing to accept a rate that is very affordable to Amakhosi.
In a recent interview with Robert Marawa on 947's MSW Tau expressed his willingness to join Chiefs.
So, he was asked if he would accept an offer from Amakhosi for R450 000 a month on a two year deal.
Thereafter, he responded ' Perfect ,' which not only implies he is interested in a move to Chiefs but also that it would be ideal. Moreover, the fact that he is willing to go for R450k a month speaks volumes.
The Bafana Bafana attacker is willing to take a drastic pay-cut to join Amakhosi. Meaning, he is serious about the potential prospect of joining Chiefs.
Unfortunately, Chiefs do not seem interested.
They recently confirmed that they are not interested having learnt from the past. Amakhosi have spent big money on the likes of Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly with dissapointing returns.
So, they no longer want to sign older players for big money.
However, Tau is open to accepting a package of R450k a month which is much lower than that of Billiat (R900k+) and Dolly, who reportedly made over R1 million a season.
Meanwhile, these are the players Nasreddine Nabi is interested in bringing to Chiefs.

Kaizer Chiefs guaranteed ONE winner at PSL Awards

The 2024/25 PSL season was one – another one – to forget for Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs. Amakhosi finished ninth in what turned out to be a 15-team Betway Premiership and missed out – again – on qualifying for the lucrative MTN8 this season. The one shining light, however, was their 2-1 Nedbank Cup win over bitter rivals Orlando Pirates at the Moses Mabhida Stadium back in May this year. The Glamour Boys were rewarded for that victory when the Premier Soccer League (PSL) announced the nominees for the 2024/25 PSL Awards later this month. The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 29 July, at 19:00 and will be broadcast live on SuperSport PSL Channel and SABC Sport. In the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament category, all three nominees – Inacio Miguel, Pule Mmodi, and Gaston Sirino – hail from Kaizer Chiefs. That means Kaizer Chiefs are guaranteed to go home with at least one accolade. Interestingly, the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player category is dominated by Orlando Pirates , with nominations for Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota. Meanwhile, the prestigious Footballer of the Season award will be contested by Keletso Makgalwa (Sekhukhune United), Relebohile Mofokeng (Orlando Pirates), and Lucas Ribeiro Costa (Mamelodi Sundowns). All three players have also been nominated for the Betway Premiership Players' Player of the Season award, underlining their consistency and influence during the 2024/25 campaign. The nominees for the Betway Premiership Coach of the Season are Steve Barker (Stellenbosch FC), Miguel Cardoso (Mamelodi Sundowns), and Jose Riveiro (Orlando Pirates). In the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season category, the shortlist includes Malibongwe Khoza (Mamelodi Sundowns), Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota (both Orlando Pirates). This year's awards also see the introduction of three new categories in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Nominees for Players' Player of the Season are Banele Hlophe (JDR Stars), Joslin Kamatuka (Durban City FC), and Muzomuhle Khanyi (Hungry Lions). Luke Baartman (Cape Town Spurs), Teboho Lekhatla (Casric Stars), and Siphamandla Mhlongo (Milford FC) are shortlisted for Young Player of the Season, while Emile Lako (Casric Stars), Sekhoane Moerane (Orbit College), and Dumsani Msibi (Durban City FC) have been nominated for Goalkeeper of the Season. The MTN8 Last Man Standing nominees include Fawaaz Basadien (Stellenbosch FC), Deon Hotto and Relebohile Mofokeng (both Orlando Pirates), while the Magesi FC duo of Elvis Chipezeze and Edmore Chirambadare, along with Mamelodi Sundowns' Iqraam Rayners, are nominated for the Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament. The nominees for the DStv Diski Challenge Player of the Season are Gomolemo Kekana of Mamelodi Sundowns, Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi of Kaizer Chiefs, and Tylon Smith of Stellenbosch FC. Confirmed: Kaizer Chiefs kicking off the season in Cape Town

Under the guidance of head coach Nasreddine Nabi, Kaizer Chiefs have another opportunity to reclaim the glory days after a frustrating and inconsistent previous season. Early momentum will be crucial for a team under pressure to deliver. The first five fixtures offer a mixture of tough away days and key home opportunities. How well Kaizer Chiefs handle this opening stretch could set the tone for the rest of their campaign. Here's a closer look at Kaizer Chiefs' first five fixtures of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season… PSL club ready to sell goalkeeper to Kaizer Chiefs New Kaizer Chiefs signings for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season: Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett, and Nkanyiso Shinga. Stellies have developed into a competitive side, especially at home, and Steve Barker's side will ask big questions of Kaizer Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs news: R20 million in the bank and 10 strikers 13 August: Polokwane City (Home) Just three days later, AmaKhosi will play their first home game against Polokwane City. It's an important fixture to gain confidence in front of the home fans, and one where maximum points will be expected. 19 August: Richards Bay (Home) Ronnie Gabriel, who recently replaced Brandon Truter as head coach of Richards Bay, will offer a fresh tactical approach to the Natal Rich Boyz. Kazer Chiefs will look to take advantage of any transitional struggles from the visitors, especially with home advantage. 27 August: Mamelodi Sundowns (Away) Arguably the biggest test of the month. Kaizer Chiefs will head to Loftus Versfeld to take on the champions Sundowns. These blockbuster encounters are more than just three points—they're a measure of title credentials. A strong performance here could send a message to the rest of the league. 30 August: Golden Arrows (Away) Kaizer Chiefs will close out August with another road trip, this time to Durban to face Golden Arrows. Always tricky on home soil, Arrows have a reputation for upsetting the traditional giants. Amakhosi will need to show mental and physical resilience to end the month on a high.
