Rivals Five-Star: How solid are the committed prospects in Indianapolis?
INDIANAPOLIS - There was an abundance of committed prospects going through check-in at the Rivals Five-Star so Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney gauges how committed they are heading out of the busy June visit schedule: RECRUITING INTEL FROM INDIANAPOLIS: Mid-South | Florida | West | Southeast LIVE FROM RIVALS FIVE-STAR MEDIA DAY: All the news, notes and interviews RIVALS FIVE-STAR EVENT: Roster | Ten prospects to watch closely | Ten matchups we can't wait to see | ACC programs in the spotlight | Big Ten programs in the spotlight | SEC programs in the spotlight | Key QB storylines | Key RB storylines | Key WR storylines | Key TE storylines | Key OL storylines | Key DL storylines | Key LB storylines | Key DB storylines | Rivals Five-Star heading back to Indy The four-star defensive back from Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines has been committed to Michigan since last July but in-state programs are not giving up. Miami and Florida have remained aggressive with Jennings, who had to postpone his Georgia official visit because of his father's passing, and if he ends up visiting Athens again then that would be one to watch as well. Advertisement Gorney Gauge: Medium SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH MICHIGAN FANS AT The Saline, Mich., four-star tight end committed to Georgia in November and he reaffirmed his pledge at the Rivals Five-Star. Even though he lives in Ann Arbor, the Bulldogs beat Michigan and others and with Mark Bowman's commitment to USC, Keyes' pledge is even stronger. Gorney Gauge: Strong SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH GEORGIA FANS AT UCLA was making a massive push to flip the four-star edge rusher from Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger but after his weekend visit to Texas A&M, Moala has shut down his recruitment. He's sticking with the Aggies and won't take any other visits as he'll be an edge rusher in College Station as the Bruins and Washington worked to flip him. Advertisement Gorney Gauge: Strong SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS A&M FANS AT Clemson, Penn State and Michigan were the finalists for Scruggs but once the four-star offensive lineman committed to the Tigers, his recruitment was basically over. The Leesburg (GVa.) Loudoun County standout admitted that his recruitment basically came down to Clemson and Penn State but he 'grew up a Clemson kid' and so it was going to be tough to beat. Gorney Gauge: Strong SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH CLEMSON FANS AT The Nashville (Tenn.) Donelson Christian Academy four-star tight end has been committed to Tennessee since last August but Florida is making a major push in his recruitment. North Carolina and Ole Miss are also involved but this will come down to whether the Vols can convince Sneed to stay in the class or whether everything the Gators have been pushing convince the four-star to flip. Florida seems to have a very real shot here. Advertisement Gorney Gauge: Weak SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TENNESSEE FANS AT The four-star offensive tackle from San Francisco (Calif.) Riordan committed to Cal in early June but only a few days later, Tofi took a visit to Oregon and loved it. While Tofi remains committed to the Golden Bears, his brother plays there and he loves the heavy Polynesian culture, the Ducks are definitely intriguing him and has given him a ton to consider. Gorney Gauge: Weak SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH CAL FANS AT In early May, Wesley jumped in a pool with Oregon coach Dan Lanning to announce his commitment from the Ducks. Shortly after, Wesley backed off that pledge after not clearing the commitment with those close to him. A few weeks later, the five-star defensive end from Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon has now made a pledge to Texas after his weekend visit. It looks locked in and Wesley very much feels like he's done with recruiting now. Advertisement Gorney Gauge: Strong SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS FANS AT Wise is all business. The four-star interior offensive lineman from Pace, Fla., is a big-time weight lifter with a big-time reputation because he hasn't given up a sack in three seasons (and he predicted he wouldn't give up one in his senior season). Clemson landed his commitment in March and while Oregon especially along with Miami, Alabama and Tennessee impressed him, he's not looking around and isn't playing games with his recruitment. Gorney Gauge: Very Strong

Rivals Five-Star: Recruiting intel from elite Florida prospects
INDIANAPOLIS -- As the nation's top prospects descended on Indianapolis ahead of the Rivals Five-Star on Tuesday, the state of Florida was of course well represented. Rivals checks in on the latest rumors and facts relative to the Sunshine State's best in attendance. LIVE FROM RIVALS FIVE-STAR MEDIA DAY: All the news, notes and interviews RIVALS FIVE-STAR EVENT: Roster | Ten prospects to watch closely | Ten matchups we can't wait to see | ACC programs in the spotlight | Big Ten programs in the spotlight | SEC programs in the spotlight | Key QB storylines | Key RB storylines | Key WR storylines | Key TE storylines | Key OL storylines | Key DL storylines | Key LB storylines | Key DB storylines | Rivals Five-Star heading back to Indy Clemson discourages its committed recruits from taking trips elsewhere and this one isn't interested in any other program at this time. Burroughs continues to receive calls from other programs but is not entertaining much communication at this time. He is all Clemson Tiger. Advertisement SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH CLEMSON FANS AT A half-dozen programs have hosted the top-ranked running back recruit and now we know when a decision is expected to come in. Cooper will announce his college commitment on July 12 between Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State and Texas. The Buckeyes got the most recent official visit and impressed from Ryan Day on down. Alabama is playing dark horse, Georgia remains in the thick of the race and Miami continues to angle staying home so this race could have a twist or two remaining. The IMG Academy standout showed up in a Florida State jacket and many think the Seminoles are the team to beat. We hear Florida is right there and a pair of UMs, Michigan and Miami, won't go quietly in this recruitment either. Forkpa was considering a June decision but he will now hold off and evaluate further into the summer months and possibly the season if a program like Ohio State or Clemson pushes further. It's still early for the Tampa native who has racked up nearly 50 scholarship offers. The in-state programs continue to push for Henderson, who most recently visited Miami, but the visit trail has taken him well beyond of late. A trio of programs he elected to single out included defending national champion Ohio State and SEC programs Tennessee and Texas A&M. A list of top programs could soon emerge for the nation's second-ranked linebacker recruit. One of the most coveted pass-rushers in the country wrapped up a busy summer on the visit trail with a weekend stop at Oklahoma, the program that has perhaps courted him longest nationally. The detail from the program has the Sooners remaining in the thick of it as Florida, Texas and Ole Miss also look to contend. Visits to each went down in June, with the Rebels hosting him for the first time and surging up the list. Kreul is in no rush to make a final decision, so the college football season and additional visits seem likely. The last two visits may signal two of the long-term contenders for the 2028 star. McFarland was at Ohio State and Miami most recently and each program is amid an early push for the top talent. Even the head coaches, Ryan Day and Mario Cristobal, are personally attached to pushing for the IMG Academy athlete. LSU was labeled the dream school and recently offered, too. One of the youngest competitors set to work out in Indianapolis, Monds is also very early in his recruitment despite considerable national offers to his name. The passer was on the road recently, however, taking in both Ohio State and Notre Dame camps. The time with the national title game participants The top underclassman passer has been busy on the camp circuit of late, hitting Texas, Oregon and Georgia before his stop at the Rivals Five-Star. Each trip impressed and those national programs figure to remain in the mix for the California native by way of IMG Academy. Wade is shifting his focus to the 2025 season but admits a top group of programs could emerge soon after. The trio he just saw feel like a relatively safe bet at this stage.
