KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd has secured two infrastructure contracts in Taiwan worth a total of RM4.28 billion, marking its eighth and ninth project wins in the country. The latest RM3.72 billion contract, awarded on June 30, involves the construction of a wharf and connecting roads for the Kaohsiung Port Intercontinental LNG terminal. Gamuda holds a 70 percent stake in the joint venture with Dong Pi Co Ltd and the project is expected to be completed in five years. The scope includes 2.2km of seawall, a 729m wharf, 1.2km of bridges, and several unloading and access platforms. In March, Gamuda also won a RM557.2 million underground transmission line project involving 3.2km of cable tunnel construction through a 50:50 JV with Feng Shun Construction, scheduled for completion in 44 months. Gamuda said the consecutive wins reflect its growing reputation and capability in Taiwan's infrastructure sector, where it has been active since 2002. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
