Leah Remini reveals where she and Jennifer Lopez stand after Ben Affleck caused friendship fallout
Leah Remini revealed where she and Jennifer Lopez stand after their fallout over Ben Affleck. The 'King of Queens' alum shared that she and the pop star started communicating again when they both filed for divorce from their respective spouses in August 2024. 'We'd text each other loving messages of support,' Remini told Us Weekly in an interview published Wednesday. The 'Kevin Can Wait' actress also insisted she was never feuding with Lopez, explaining, 'Sometimes you don't talk to people every day like you used to, but that doesn't mean the love is lost.' She added, 'Friendships ebb and flow. That doesn't mean we're at odds.' Remini, 54, filed for divorce from Angelo Pagán on Aug. 29, 2024, after 21 years of marriage. Remini, who shares a 20-year-old daughter, Sofia Bella, with Pagán, cited 'irreconcilable differences' in her filing. Lopez, meanwhile, pulled the plug on her union with Affleck on Aug. 20, 2024, after two years of marriage. The 'On the Floor' songstress, 55, waited to file the papers until the anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony — despite being separated from the Oscar-winning actor since April 2024. Rumors of Lopez and Remini's falling-out began swirling when the latter was notably absent from her BFF's 2022 wedding to the 'Gone Girl' star. At the time, TMZ reported that Remini was busy helping her daughter prepare for college. However, Page Six later learned that the former Scientologist skipped the ceremony because she didn't agree with Lopez's decision to wed Affleck. An insider told us that Remini warned the 'Let's Get Loud' singer to remember why she called off her first engagement to Affleck back in 2004. Per our source, Remini told Lopez that the actor was 'selfish' and 'not fully committed as a partner.' ' was so mad, she cut off all ties,' we were told. But we learned in May 2024 that the longtime friends had reconciled.

Leah Remini addresses rumors of fallout with Jennifer Lopez
Leah Remini is finally setting the record straight about her relationship with longtime friend Jennifer Lopez, following months of speculation that the two stars had a falling out. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Remini shared insight into where the friendship stands today. 'Right after the divorce, we'd text each other loving messages of support,' Remini said, referring to her 2024 split from husband Angelo Pagán after 21 years of marriage. The timing mirrored Jennifer Lopez's own divorce from Ben Affleck, which was also filed in August 2024. Rumors about a possible rift began circulating when Remini didn't attend Lopez's wedding to Affleck in 2022. However, the King of Queens star dismissed any talk of a feud. 'Sometimes you don't talk to people every day like you used to, but that doesn't mean the love is lost,' she said. 'Friendships ebb and flow. That doesn't mean we're at odds.' Remini, who famously left the Church of Scientology 12 years ago, revealed that her personal transformation has led her to retreat from the spotlight and spend more time at home. 'I cherish my friendships and not everybody is meant to be in your life in the way that they were,' she said. 'I have many friends that I don't talk to every day. That doesn't mean we're at odds — it's just that I'm at a different place and so are they.' Despite the distance, Remini's comments indicate that her bond with Lopez remains intact, though redefined. CNN has reached out to representatives for both stars for additional comment.

Leah Remini addresses rumored feud with JLo: 'Friendships ebb and flow'
Leah Remini addresses rumored feud with JLo: 'Friendships ebb and flow' Show Caption Hide Caption Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck separated in April: Reports Jennifer Lopez filed to divorce Ben Affleck on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony. Their romance dates back to 2002. Leah Remini is addressing feud rumors with Jennifer Lopez. In an Us Weekly cover story this week, the "King of Queens" alum suggested that there are highs and lows with JLo, her once-best friend. "Sometimes you don't talk to people every day like you used to, but that doesn't mean the love is lost," Remini added. "Friendships ebb and flow. That doesn't mean we're at odds." But Remini said that "right after the divorce, we'd text each other loving messages of support" in reference to her friend's divorce from actor Ben Affleck and her own split from Angelo Pagán last year. Tabloid feud rumors surfaced after Remini was absent from Bennifer's 2022 wedding in Georgia. The pair have been friends for over two decades. Leah Remini announces split from husband Angelo Pagán after 21 years "I cherish my friendships and not everybody is meant to be in your life in the way that they were. When you grow out of that person that you were, that doesn't mean that you are at odds with them," Remini said. "I have many friends that I don't talk to every day. That doesn't mean we're at odds – it's just that I'm at a different place and so are they." She also discussed her friendships with her former "The Talk" co-hosts Holly Robinson Peete and Julie Chen Moonves, the "Big Brother" host's husband and embattled former CBS executive Les Moonves, "RuPaul's Drag Race" judge Michelle Visage, comedian Chelsea Handler and actress Tisha Campbell. Remini noted, too, that she has friendships with people "that are not in the business that are also meaningful." The actress famously disavowed Scientology 12 years ago and told the entertainment outlet that she is in a "in a different place" since leaving the controversial belief system. "I really retreated (after leaving Scientology)," Remini told Us. "But also not really wanting to leave the house that much. I started to come out a bit but was still careful and cautious." The "Dancing with the Stars" alum may throw caution to the wind in one place: the ballroom. She detailed her ballroom dancing hobby, shouting out her former pro, Tony Dovolani, from the dancing competition show. "Tony Dovolani made me a fan," she said of her "DWTS" partner. "I kept it going. And then my dance teacher became part of the family. He came over yesterday, brought my mom flowers. This, to me, means something. It's a meaningful relationship."
