Which LMG is getting a reactive skin in Apex Legends Season 26?

(Image via Respawn Entertainment) Season 26 of Apex Legends is just around the corner, and fans are already buzzing about what's next in the Battle Pass. One of the biggest highlights each season? The coveted reactive weapon skin. While nothing is officially confirmed yet, the community believes they've spotted the next lucky gun to get a glow-up. And all signs point to one energy weapon that's been waiting for its turn. Is the L-Star Getting a Reactive Skin? Leakers and data miners have dropped hints, and the chatter on X (formerly Twitter) is loud: the L-Star EMG is likely getting its first-ever reactive skin in Season 26. The L-Star is no stranger to Apex Legends veterans. This energy LMG has seen its ups and downs in the meta buffed, nerfed, sidelined, and revived. But what it hasn't had is a reactive skin. That may finally change. What the Leaks Say According to a recent post by trusted leaker @HYPERMYSTx, a new skin design for the L-Star was spotted in what appears to be early development renders. The details? Color scheme : Sleek black and white base Accent tones : Electric blue highlights Design cues : Crystal-like magazine and segmented stock The magazine looks eerily similar to the Nemesis reactive skin from Season 25, hinting at a design evolution that fans of energy weapons will appreciate. What Makes Reactive Skins Special? For newcomers: reactive skins aren't just cosmetic; they evolve. Each elimination in a match powers up the skin's appearance. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Brought to you by Undo That means you start a game with a cool-looking gun and end it with an absolute visual flex if you're racking up kills. Past reactive skins, like those for the R-99, Hemlok, and Alternator, had glowing effects, shifting patterns, and even custom inspect animations. The L-Star's version is expected to follow suit, with fragmented moving parts and possibly a custom reload animation. Apex Legends New Buffs & Nerfs Season 26 Rework Update Why the L-Star Makes Sense Here's why the L-Star is a solid pick for Season 26's reactive skin: It hasn't had one yet - Most fan-favorite weapons already have theirs. Recent buffs – Respawn has been quietly tweaking the L-Star, potentially setting it up for a return to relevance. Themed continuity – If the leak is accurate, its visual design complements Season 25's reactive Nemesis, suggesting a deliberate style trend. Final Thoughts (But No Confirmation… Yet) As of now, Respawn or EA haven't confirmed anything officially. But when the leaks start aligning with in-game trends and design patterns, there's usually fire behind the smoke. If you're an L-Star main, or just love reactive skins, you might want to start grinding that Battle Pass the moment Season 26 drops. Stay tuned. The legends never stay quiet for long. In this recently launched mid-season update, Respawn Entertainment has laid emphasis on Wattson, Vantage, Ash. Despite being picked regularly in the competitive scenarios, Wattson wasn't liked by casual players. On the other hand, because of Vantage's sluggish Echo, her pick rate was dipping day by day. And Ash has always been a 'mid-tier' Legend, so her kit needed some changes as well. Besides them, Alter, Ballistic, Conduit, and Mirage got their fair share of buffs and nerfs as well. Every weapon buff and nerf in Apex Legends Season 25 Split 2

(Image via Respawn Entertainment) The meta just got shaken (again). Apex Legends Season 25 Split 2 is here, and Respawn has dropped some slick weapon tweaks to keep the gunplay spicy. From subtle buffs to key nerfs, these mid-season changes are all about making sure no one gun dominates the lobby. Here are all the buffs and nerfs to weapons in Season 25 Split 2. All Weapon Buffs and Nerfs in Apex Legends Season 25 Split 2 Here are all the weapon buffs and nerfs in this update. Assault Rifles (ARs) Havoc AR (Previous Hotfix) The energy beast just got even spicier. Recoil improved – Way easier to beam now. Damage increased to 20 (from 19) – That extra point adds up fast , especially with turbo. EVERYTHING NEW in APEX SZN 25 SPLIT 2 (Wattson BUFFS + Ash NERFS & More!) Hemlok Burst AR Trying to make burst guns cool again? Maybe. Reduced burst fire delay – You'll feel the bursts hit quicker, making it smoother in fights. Marksman Weapons 30-30 Repeater This one took a Skullpiercer slap. Uncharged headshot reduced to 80 (was 86) Charged headshot reduced to 120 (was 130) Headshot fans might feel this one. Still deadly, but less punishing now. Bocek Compound Bow (Previous Hotfix) This silent killer just got deadlier. Explosive arrow hit damage increased to 55 (from 40) Increased fire rate – Faster spam if you've got the arrows. Max charge damage upped to 65 (was 55). Shotguns Mastiff No damage buffs, but smoother feels. New ADS firing animation – The weapon now returns to center screen quicker. While it doesn't change the damage, it smoothens the feel of ADS play, especially for close-range duels. SMGs Prowler Burst PDW The burst SMG got a much-needed glow-up. Better horizontal recoil (burst + full-auto) – More stable during both burst and full-auto. Reduced burst fire delay – Tighter follow-ups and higher DPS potential. BEST WEAPONS TO USE IN APEX LEGENDS SEASON 25 | APEX LEGENDS Sniper Rifles Sentinel A small, but impactful buff. Energized rechamber speed increased – Firing feels quicker now when you've juiced it up with a shield battery. Expect more follow-up shots in shorter timeframes. Not a huge update in terms of weapon count, but the changes are impactful if you're someone who actually pays attention to gun behavior (aka not just grabbing R-99 and winging it). Most of these buffs and nerfs are about smoothing things out and keeping guns viable without being broken. Also worth noting: devs have been rolling out small patches across Season 25 so far, so don't be surprised if more tweaks land before Split 3. Till then, adjust your loadouts, experiment a little, and maybe give Bocek or Hemlok another shot. Game On Season 1 kicks off with Sakshi Malik's inspiring story. Watch Episode 1 here

Apex Legends June update brings no new content but improves characters; here are all the details

Respawn Entertainment has released a new update for Apex Legends that implements significant balance changes to the battle royale game. This update, launched as June begins, primarily focuses on adjusting several popular Legends. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The update does not introduce new content to the game but aims to rebalance the power of certain characters that players have found particularly effective in battle. Season 25 of Apex Legends, which started on May 6, introduced Sparrow, a new Legend. Sparrow is part of the Recon Class and possesses abilities including Double Jump, Tracker Dart, and Stinger Bolt. The Apex Legends roster now includes 27 playable characters. According to Apex Legends Status, Sparrow is currently among the more popular picks this season, with a 10.7% pick rate. Apex Legends June update released: Here's what's new As part of the latest update, Apex Legends developer Respawn has made notable balance changes to three Legends — Alter, Ballistic, and Conduit. Alter's Ultimate ability received a nerf: the delay when following enemies through a Nexus portal was reduced from eight to six seconds, allowing opponents to capitalise on downed players more easily. Additionally, the Nexus reactivation delay doubled from 30 to 60 seconds. Ballistic also received nerfs, with his overheat damage reduced from 30 to 15, and his Ultimate no longer extending after securing a knock. Conduit, on the other hand, has been buffed. Her Tactical cooldown has been reduced from 31 to 21 seconds, improving her ability to maintain team shields. Combined with a recent April buff that increased her health regen per tick, her overall utility in matches may improve, possibly influencing her pick rate in Season 25. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Despite these adjustments, Ash has remained untouched, surprising many players as she still holds the highest pick rate in the game. Her mobility and Assault Class perks continue to frustrate opponents. In addition to ability tweaks, the patch has also addressed various crash issues and fixed Ranked Ladder bugs. With Season 25 nearing its midpoint, players can expect more significant updates in the weeks ahead.

After EA Scraps BLACK PANTHER Game, STAR WARS JEDI Dev Says 'Morale Has Been at an All-Time Low' at Respawn — GeekTyrant

Things aren't looking great inside Respawn Entertainment right now. After Electronic Arts shut down Cliffhanger Games and canned the Black Panther single-player project this week, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor 's senior encounter designer Patrick Wren shared what a lot of fans suspected, the vibe at Respawn is rough. "Morale has been at an all-time low. I can say that much,' Wren said in a new social media post following the news. It's not hard to see why. In just two years, EA has reportedly axed three Respawn-led projects and each one hit a little harder than the last. First, there was the rumored Titanfall/Apex Legends crossover, which was quietly trashed in 2023. Then came the Star Wars FPS, which was allegedly a Mandalorian game, that got pulled from hyperspace before fans even got a look. Most recently, in March, another unannounced shooter joined EA's ever-growing graveyard of discarded concepts. Now with Cliffhanger Games shut down and the Black Panther game gone before it could even find its footing, it's clear that the publisher is aggressively tightening the leash on single-player development, despite consistently strong interest from fans. Respawn, best known for the Titanfall series, Apex Legends , and the Star Wars Jedi games, isn't folding just yet. Work is still moving forward on a third Jedi installment, something actor Cameron Monaghan (Cal Kestis) teased as being 'really cool.' There's also Star Wars: Zero Company , a new project being developed alongside ex-XCOM devs, and murmurs of an Apex Legends 2.0 slowly coming together. But for those of us who still remember the awesomeness of Titanfall 2 , a game that many argue deserved far better, this news cycle hits differently. Respawn helped redefine single-player shooters. Watching their creative momentum get repeatedly undercut by corporate decisions? It's discouraging. If morale is at an all-time low over there, fans are definitly feeling it too.
