Liverpool agree deal to sign World Cup winner
Liverpool are signing a World Champion after agreeing a deal to bring him to the club. It's been a busy summer for the Reds so far. Richard Hughes is working on reshaping Arne Slot's squad after a relatively quiet January and summer 2024 window. Advertisement This time around Liverpool have acted early to bring in Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, Armin Pecsi and Milos Kerkez. And there are plans to reinforce the squad even further. Liverpool want to bring in a no.9 and a centre-back. For those positions, the Reds have set their sights on Marc Guehi and a dream move for Alexander Isak. Whether those moves can be completed remains to be seen. Liverpool will certainly do everything in their power to make it happen. But Newcastle and Crystal Palace respectively will not want to give up their star players easily. It's now up to Hughes to once again do what he has done best. Advertisement One deal that Liverpool fans do not need to worry about is the signing of Freddie Woodman. Liverpool have confirmed on their official account that they have agreed a deal to sign Woodman on a free transfer upon the expiry of his contract at Preston North End. It's a transfer that has come out of nowhere with Woodman set to become Liverpool's fifth signing of the window. However, it's a transfer that is a major coup for the Reds once again. In Woodman they are bringing in someone who will be the club's third choice goalkeeper competing alongside Armin Pecsi for the spot. He's a player who is homegrown so he can be registered in the Champions League squad without taking a non-homegrown spot - this is not the case for Pecsi. Advertisement So that means Woodman frees up a non-homegrown spot and Liverpool can register him for the competition. But in general this is a goalkeeper with a solid CV for a 28-year-old. He is an England U21 international. He won the Championship Golden Glove award in 2021 and he's also a World Champion. Woodman lifted the U20 World Cup in South Korea with England back in 2017. He more than played his part in the tournament, making a crucial save in the final against Venezuela to ensure the Three Lions won the game 1-0. After the final whistle, Woodman was also awarded the Golden Glove award for the tournament.

Liverpool AGREE deal to sign left-winger
Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign an exciting left-winger. It's a busy summer at Anfield. Richard Hughes is gearing up for one of the best windows in Premier League history. Already this has been a sensational transfer period for Liverpool. The Reds have clearly made themselves a stronger team by bringing in Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez. Advertisement But there is more to come yet at Anfield. Liverpool still need to bring in a no.9 and a centre-back and Hughes is absolutely working on getting those deals done. Although first there are departures to handle as well. There are quite a few players who face uncertain futures. Darwin Nunez, Jarell Quansah and Harvey Elliott could all be heading to pastures new. Meanwhile, the likes of Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate are in contract stand-offs that could force Liverpool into action. The former is someone Liverpool would absolutely look to replace if he decided to move away from the club. And while the club's latest signing will likely not be a direct replacement but he could follow in suit of Diaz's footsteps at Anfield in the future. Advertisement According to Football Insider Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Blackpool's left-wing sensation Gabriel Schluter, with the youngster set to complete a medical next week in order to become a Liverpool player. An exciting talent, Schluter has made one first team appearance at Blackpool to date but he's only just recently turned 16-years-old. Schluter was the youngest player in Blackpool's history when he made his debut in the EFL Trophy at just 15-years-old and nine months. He's very highly regarded and it looks like Liverpool might have got themselves a real gem to add to an already talented left-wing department at the club. Advertisement Obviously, there's Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo but there's also Trent Kone-Doherty and Rio Ngumoha, who are both really highly rated by Arne Slot and who have been regularly training with the first team. Schluter likely won't get a first team chance any time soon, although you never know given the Reds have always been very keen to promote young talent. However, the most likely situation given his age is that he will join the club's U18 side or the U21 team, where he could be working alongside Rob Page. Nonetheless, this seems like a huge coup. Signing a historic club's youngest ever player, who they rated very highly is always nice to see.

Milos Kerkez deal could see Liverpool left-back join Rangers
Liverpool are facing a transfer overhaul in the current transfer window. We've already seen the club move on from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher and Nat Phillips - among others - but expect more departures before the summer is out. Sporting director Richard Hughes and Arne Slot will require several outgoings to finance the next phase of their transfer plans - which include adding a new striker and perhaps even a new centre-back. Advertisement It means plenty of Liverpool squad members - as well as fringe players - could be on the move in order to facilitate the new arrivals. For example England under-21 trio Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton could all end up at new clubs come next season. Owen Beck linked with Rangers Quansah looks closer than the other two to the exit - with Bayer Leverkusen close to wrapping up a £30m transfer. But even those further away from the first-team picture could be cashed in. One of those players who could potentially move on is Owen Beck. The 22-year-old left-back impressed out on loan last season in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers. The Wales international previously spent time away from the club at Dundee, Bolton Wanderers and Famalicao. Advertisement And according to a report in Ibrox Noise, Rangers could be the next destination for the homegrown Liverpool defender. Kerkez arrival could see a clearout The Scottish giants are undergoing a transformation this summer under new head coach Russell Martin and reportedly see Beck as a key target. Given his previous success in the SPFL with Dundee, Rangers are now 'making a serious move' for the left-sided defender. Beck has been at Liverpool since under-13 level, making his first-team debut in 2021. His current contract is listed as expiring in 2026 - per Transfermarkt. Therefore Liverpool could try to convince Beck to sign a new contract before sending him out on loan.

Liverpool midfielder to be SACRIFICED as part of transfer overhaul
Liverpool can be pretty pleased with their summer transfer business so far. Despite winning the 2024/25 Premier League title, Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes are not standing still. The Reds have already announced the signings of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez. Another Hungarian, goalkeeper Armin Pecsi, has also been acquired although he will be one for the future. Advertisement Meanwhile, Giorgi Mamardashvili will also be coming through the door - one year after his transfer from Valencia was confirmed. That outlay hasn't come cheap. Wirtz could end up costing £116m if all bonuses and add-ons are met. Frimpong cost a reasonable £29.5m after his release clause was activated - roughly the same as Mamardashvili - while Kerkez comes on board for a fee reported at £45m. If any more signings are to be made, it looks like Liverpool are going to have to conduct some outgoing business first. Liverpool's clearout could include fringe players Big names such as Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz could end up following Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher out of the exit door. But Hughes does have an opportunity to earn money on fringe talent too. Advertisement Jarell Quansah looks set to bring in a massive £30m once his deal to Leverkusen goes through. Harvey Elliott may well end up at Wolves or Brighton with the club asking for between £40m and £50m. Don't forget Ben Doak - the Scotland winger who was linked with Crystal Palace in January. If he moves then Liverpool can be assured of another £25m or so. That leaves a pretty penny in the transfer fund should the Reds opt for a new striker or else a centre-back. Factor in the potential departure of Tyler Morton and the potential to spend later in the window swells even further. Tyler Morton's uncertain situation Morton, 22, is currently preparing for a European Under-21 Championship final against Germany alongside Quansah and Elliott. But the midfielder's future is very much under scrutiny. Advertisement The academy graduate was tipped for a first-team breakthrough last season but it never quite happened - with Morton later suffering a season-ending injury. Liverpool are reported to have turned down bids worth around £20m for Morton last summer with Middlesbrough offering around half that in January. Under contract until 2028, it looks like Morton will be on his way if a reasonable offer is made. © IMAGO West Ham want Tyler Morton And now a report from The West Ham Way suggests that Graham Potter's side are now in the mix. Seeking to reduce the average age of the squad - as well as cash in on senior players - the Hammers are now reported to be seeking a deal for Morton. Advertisement The East London club are watching Morton during the Euros - and could formalise their interest once the tournament ends. It would be a shame to lose Morton, who has got Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo ahead of him in the Anfield pecking order. But at this stage of his career he needs games - and Liverpool's transfer business over the rest of the summer demands sacrifices.

Liverpool in contact for INCREDIBLE €80m striker
Liverpool have conducted stunning transfer business so far this summer. Reds fans can be very excited about the imminent arrivals of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Giorgi Mamardashvili. But sporting director Richard Hughes and head coach Arne Slot won't stop there. An upgrade is also on the cards in the striker department. Advertisement Darwin Nunez hasn't convinced Slot throughout his time at the club so far - and looks set for an exit to Napoli if the two sides can soon come to an agreement. Diogo Jota too is under some threat. His contract expires in 2027 and Liverpool may opt to cash in on the injury-prone Portuguese. Liverpool need a new No9 The next phase of Liverpool's transfer plans will require significant outgoings - following on from a near £200m outlay on new players. And if Liverpool receive the money they seek for Nunez then the proceeds could be immediately ploughed into a replacement. We've seen links to Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Victor Osimhen and Joao Pedro. To that list we can add one more player in the shape of Viktor Gyokeres. Advertisement That's according to a new report from the Correio da Manha, which claims the Reds have entered the race for the wantaway Sporting CP striker. Sporting want €80m for Gyokeres Sporting rejected Arsenal's opening offer for the Swede and the player is said to be downcast at the thought of missing out on a move. The Portuguese champions are said to be holding out for €80m for the 27-year-old - and the report adds that Liverpool have no intention of paying that amount. But with Isak going for north of £100m, this price might well be judged as reasonable for a marksman who scored 39 goals in 33 league games last season.
