Gagasan Rakyat Tanjung Aru brings relief to flat residents in weekly food aid

Gagasan Rakyat Tanjung Aru Committee Member Dr Ritchie Jay Cheng said the initiative aims to ease the burden of residents struggling with daily necessities. 'This programme is not only about basic needs, but also a show of care for the residents. We understand the challenges of urban life, especially for families with young children and the elderly,' he said. He added that the aid will continue with the help of local volunteers. 'We hope this support helps lessen their burden and strengthens the bond between PGRS and the community,' Dr Ritchie said. Gagasan Rakyat Tanjung Aru repairs storm-damaged village bridge
Published on: Friday, July 11, 2025 Published on: Fri, Jul 11, 2025 Text Size: KOTA KINABALU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Tanjung Aru took the initiative to repair a wooden bridge at the Kampung Tanjung Aru Lama jetty that was damaged by heavy rain. PGRS committee member Dr Ritchie Jay Cheng said the repair, done through a community gotong-royong, aimed to ensure the safety of villagers who use the bridge daily. He personally contributed materials like wood and planks to speed up the repairs, following urgent requests from the residents. 'This small effort reflects our commitment to the people's welfare and strengthens community spirit,' he said, thanking local youth volunteers for their support.
