Rosé Leaps Over Two Of Jung Kook's Biggest Hits

Rosé climbs to No. 18 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart with 'On My Mind,' which is now the ... More third-highest hit by a K-pop soloist in the tally's history. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - OCTOBER 10: Rose visits SiriusXM Studios on October 10, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by) Ever since she released her single 'Apt.' with Bruno Mars in mid-2024, Rosé has been on an incredible and historic run. The Blackpink superstar first reached the airwaves as one of the four singers in the K-pop girl group, but everything changed when it was time to begin pushing tunes from her then-forthcoming solo album, Rosie. In less than a year, Rosé has become one of the most successful K-pop soloists of all time on Billboard's radio rankings. Nearly every frame brings her to a new milestone or helps her manage an unprecedented feat, and this period is no different. Rosé's New Collaboration Rises Again About a month ago, Rosé teamed up with Alex Warren for a new single titled "On My Mind." The collaboration is featured on Warren's debut full-length, You'll Be Alright, Kid, which essentially expands on his EP You'll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter One). "On My Mind" has been living on the Adult Pop Airplay chart for nearly a month, and this frame, it climbs from No. 22 to No. 18. As it does, the track becomes a history-making win for Rosé. 'On My Mind' Passes Two of Jung Kook's Singles "On My Mind" is now the third-highest-charting hit of all time by any K-pop solo musician on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. Just last week, the track sat at No. 22, tying for fourth place on this historic ranking alongside "Too Much," fronted by pop singer The Kid Laroi and which also credits rapper Central Cee and BTS star Jung Kook. That tune peaked at No. 22 before falling off the tally. As "On My Mind" lifts four spots, it not only breaks its tie with "Too Much," but also passes the No. 19 peak of "Seven" by Jung Kook and hip-hop musician Latto. Rosé Earns one of the Highest-Rising Hits Ever Rosé also now claims the third-highest-rising single of all time on the Adult Pop Airplay chart when looking solely at K-pop soloists. Her own 'Apt.' missed out on becoming the first No. 1 by any South Korean figure when it peaked at No. 2. Her bandmate Lisa has pushed her Maroon 5 duet "Priceless" to No. 6 so far.

Blackpink's Rosé Gives the Exposed Underwear Trend a Fresh Update

Rosé brought the exposed underwear trend back to New York City. The Blackpink member was spotted in Manhattan on Sunday, wearing a coordinated bra layering top and exposed boxers beneath her oversized, dark charcoal-wash pants, adding her signature spin to the resurgent Y2K trend. The singer is the latest celebrity to embrace exposed underwear as an off-duty, streetwear style. The trend harkens back to and coincides with the rising Millennial nostalgia trends of the '90s and early 2000s. More from WWD Blackpink's Rosé Keeps It Y2K Casual in Flip-Flops and Lace While Out in New York Labubu, Polly Pocket and Hot Wheels: The Playful Toys Leading Fashion's Childhood Revival Brazilians Are Not Happy With the 'Gentrification' of Havaianas Miu Miu's spring 2023 ready-to-wear collection incited the reappearance of the trend. The style was a major motif among the sporty, streetwear-inspired pieces from the collection, which debuted during Paris Fashion Week in October 2022, featuring layered elements and exposed underwear waistbands throughout. Other labels and fashion houses soon followed suit. Ester Manas's fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection featured exposed underwear styled in a similar manner to the current trend, with low-rise waistlines that showcased underwear and lacy lingerie pieces. Among celebrities, Rihanna was ahead of the curve. The singer mogul has been styling underwear as outerwear for years now. One of her first outfits featuring the trend dates back to May 2015, when she sported her Puma briefs exposed beneath her wide-leg, baggy and ripped denim. The exposed boxer style toys with a gender-fluid aesthetic, offering relaxed fits within a nostalgic framework. There has also been a cheeky reinterpretation and reclamation of the exposed underwear trend, which recalls looks worn by Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and others. Visible thongs, derogatorily referred to as 'whale tails' in the early 2000s, have also been reclaimed by a new generation. Aguilera memorably styled the trend at the 2000 MTV VMAs in New York City. The 'Beautiful' singer wore a dress by Trish Summerville, which featured an exposed underwear element as well as an exposed midriff. Contemporary iterations of the trend draw inspiration from the styles worn by Aguilera and Spears, among other stars. The subversive fashion statement aligns with the bra layering trend, which experienced a major resurgence in 2024, thanks to stars such as Sydney Sweeney, Kristen Stewart and Katie Holmes. More recently, Luis de Javier's spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted during Paris Fashion Week in September 2024, featured variations on the exposed thong version of the trend. Much like the pop stars of the early aughts, Blackpink's Rosé leverages her celebrity to set trends and experiment with fashion's latest niche looks. The Puma global ambassador previously wore the oversized power suit style during an appearance on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show,' coinciding with the rise in women's tailoring and power suiting moments. How to wear your summer whites, according to these celebrities

@dualipa When summer calls, one colour reigns. All over the internet and your social media feeds, celebrities appear in droves, decked out in this unwavering hue. Between photo dumps of themselves and paparazzi shots of them out and about, you'll see them make this colour the official colour of the season—be it whether it's for an official appearance or simply a day by the beach. Simply put; they don't call it summer whites for no reason. 2025 is no different—the It girls have made it loud and clear. Think Sabrina Carpenter's matching summer sets to Dua Lipa's recent photo dump of her Italian summer sojourn through Palermo with partner Callum Turner (her man kept to the theme in a white polo too!). Earlier during the tennis season, courtside attendees also abided by the player's rules: of Wimbledon whites. Nicole Kidman was the very picture of quiet luxury in menswear suiting from Brunello Cucinelli, Keira Knightley looked effortlessly chic in a breezy Chanel ensemble, and Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro hard-launched their relationship, perfectly colour-coordinated. Floral-adorned frocks are a surefire favourite too—as seen on the likes of the lovable Sana of Twice. And if it's swimwear cover-ups you're looking for, Kylie Jenner could give a masterclass in the brief. So they're all serving up inspiration—for every manner of occasion. With a wealth of styling options for wearing your summer whites, we can't help but cop the mood. Below, a celebrity-approved guide to acing the ultimate summer hue. Rosé Gives 3 Cheers for Bra-Forward Fashion

After a couple of days in New York City, Rosé has her summer uniform down to a science—and it all revolves around a black bra. Last night, the Blackpink singer galavanted through the streets of Chelsea dressed in a gathered black cotton square-neck bra top with a delicate ruffle detail on the strap. She paired the bralette with a matching high-waisted pair of button-up boxers. She infused the sweet summery look with a masculine edge, thanks to a pair of baggy, low-slung jeans in a rugged stone wash, styled with a pair of chunky sneakers. TheStewartofNY TheStewartofNY The previous day, Rosé opted for two looks that followed the same formula. Spotted strolling through SoHo during the day, she layered a dainty white lace top with an asymmetrical hem over a black triangle bra, which she paired with slouchy mid-rise blue jeans, a pair of surfer-dude-friendly flip-flops, thick cat-eye sunglasses, and a white quilted Chanel crossbody. She updated the look for night, swapping her white top for a black lacy camisole (which showed off the same black bralette), cinched with a slim oxblood belt. If you're wondering how to incorporate your underwear into your summer style, look no further than Rosé, who just demonstrated three very viable options.

‘Such a privilege to...': Blackpink's Rose says they're the first K-pop girl band to perform in New York City

Blackpink, the popular K-pop girl band, marked their much-awaited reunion with their highly anticipated world tour, Deadline, on July 5 in Seoul after a nearly two-year hiatus. In July, the band performed shows in key cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, and New York. During the Saturday show of their Deadline World Tour in New York City, the band members got a little emotional and chatted between songs as the crowd cheered them on. Taking a moment to share their feelings with the fans, Blackpink's Rosé said that they were the first K-pop girl band to perform in New York's Citi Field stadium. 'It's such a privilege to be able to perform here. We're the first K-pop girl group to perform here in this city,' she said in an emotional address to the fans. Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas were also present at Blackpink's New York concert on Saturday, according to their Instagram stories. Fans were overjoyed to see the girl band reunited and enjoying a moment together. They hailed them as 'queens' and said the finale was 'perfect'. 'Blackpink record breakers always,' said a fan. Another added, 'BLACKPINK, THE QUEENS.' 'The Pinks laughing and having fun! That's a perfect finale to a complete show. Everyone, artists and audience, goes home happy and fulfilled,' said a happy fan. 'It's so nice to see the Pinks so lighthearted, having fun together, enjoying what they've built,' they added. After concluding the New York leg of the Deadline tour on Sunday, July 27, Blackpink will perform at: Paris, France (August 2-3) Barcelona, Spain (August 9) London, UK (August 15-16) Kaohsiung, Taiwan (August 18-19) Bangkok, Thailand (October 24–26) Jakarta, Indonesia (November 1–2) Bulacan, Philippines (November 22–23) Singapore (November 29–30) Tokyo, Japan (16-18 January 2026) Hong Kong (24–25 January 2026) Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are members of the famous K-pop group. Born Pink, their last album together, was released in 2022. Since then, all members have embarked on successful solo careers. Blackpink has also been dropping major hints of a new single. While the band hasn't confirmed a release date yet, the anticipation among fans is rising. Meanwhile, one of K-pop's other star groups, BTS, also announced plans to launch its first album in four years next spring. The dual comebacks are expected to reignite global interest in the genre, providing a major boost to South Korea's music industry and signalling renewed momentum for K-pop after a relatively quiet period.
