RAM unveils new Human Capital Management Programme
MUSCAT: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) announces the launch of the Future of Human Capital Management programme, a groundbreaking initiative that aims to strengthen and hone national competencies of national talent, enabling them to contribute to achieving Oman's strategic vision for the future. Designed for human resource development managers across the public sector, the programme aims to cultivate high-performing and supportive organisational environments by enhancing participants' effectiveness and ensuring the efficient implementation of strategies. Delivered in partnership with Integrated Business Solutions (IBS), the new initiative reflects an ongoing commitment to achieving organisational excellence by investing in human capital. The two-month programme will equip participants with advanced capabilities as it explores strategic workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, and effective communication, each playing an essential role in improving productivity and organisational performance. Ultimately, the Future of Human Capital Management programme will enable participants to implement their new knowledge and practical skills, contributing to driving institutional efficiency and innovation. 'The launch of the Future of Human Capital Management programme represents a pivotal step towards the realisation of Oman Vision 2040 by investing in our national talent. We believe that equipping human resource leaders with advanced leadership capabilities is essential to drive the development of dynamic and innovative workplaces, which directly contribute to enhancing organisational performance and towards achieving long-term goals. The programme takes a holistic learning approach that links theory with practice. It will also include dialogue sessions with distinguished local and international experts in the area of human capital management. Moreover, it fosters peer-to-peer engagement and the cultivation of professional networks that will support participants' long-term career development. The learning journey explores themes such as strategic human resource planning, where participants examine contemporary HR strategies and methods for assessing workforce requirements alongside approaches to managing change in dynamic work environments. RAM announces new advisory board of global leaders
MUSCAT: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has announced the formation of its newly reconstituted International Advisory Board, comprising a distinguished group of global leaders and renowned experts in leadership, management and innovation. This strategic development marks a major milestone in RAM's ongoing efforts to elevate executive education and leadership development. The establishment of the Board reinforces the Academy's unwavering commitment to excellence, international collaboration and alignment with the national priorities outlined in Oman Vision 2040. Dr Ali bin Qassim al Lawati, President of The Royal Academy of Management, stated: 'We are proud to welcome this outstanding group of global thought leaders and experts to RAM's International Advisory Board. Their diverse insights, extensive experience and international outlook will significantly contribute to shaping RAM's strategic direction. The board will play a vital role in enriching our programmes, offering forward-looking perspectives on leadership and innovation and strengthening our global partnerships to enhance the Academy's international standing.' It includes Dasho Tshering Tobgay, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan; Enda Kenny, former Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of Ireland; and Eng Abdullatif bin Ahmed al Othman, Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees at King Abdulaziz University, former Senior Vice-President at Saudi Aramco, and former Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority. The board also includes Lim Hwee Hua, former Minister for Finance and Transport in the Republic of Singapore; Yoshito Hori, CEO of GLOBIS and President of GLOBIS University in Japan; and Carola Schouten, Mayor of Rotterdam in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Joining them are Raymond Watt, Global Chairman Emeritus of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO); Professor Soumitra Dutta, Dean of Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford; and Arturo Bris, Director of the IMD World Competitiveness Center at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD). The International Advisory Board serves as a strategic advisory body that offers insight into a wide range of fields including governance, leadership development, global disruptions and future-readiness. It supports RAM's long-term vision by contributing international perspectives and recommendations on matters related to leadership ecosystems, institutional excellence and global trends. RAM, Thinkers50 announce award for future-ready leaders
Muscat – Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has launched the Future Readiness Award to recognise leaders demonstrating excellence in pre-paring for emerging challenges and opportunities, in partnership with global management platform Thinkers50. The award aims to honour those who support national visions and promote innovation and resilience across institutions. It reflects the academy's strategic effort to position Oman as a hub for future-readiness, encouraging individuals and organisations to anticipate shifts and respond effectively to change. Dr Ali bin Qassim al Lawati, President of the academy, said, 'Preparing future leaders is not limited to adapting to change, but extends to the ability to anticipate it, guide its direction and lead effectively through it.' According to Des Dearlove, Co-founder of Thinkers50, the award promotes a strategic approach to leadership. He underlined the need for organisations to build resilience while forecasting and responding to rapid transformation. 'Anticipatory innovation and creative solutions are key to ensuring continuity of growth and institutional success,' he said. Submissions for the award will be assessed based on five criteria: rigour, reach, resonance, responsiveness and relevance. The evaluation will examine credibility of evidence, applicability across sectors and regions, influence on decision-making, innovative responses to change, and relevance of solutions to challenges expected in 2025 and beyond. An expert committee formed jointly by RAM and Thinkers50 will evaluate entries. Committee members have been selected for their global standing, geographic diversity and experience across government, business and academia. Established in 2001, Thinkers50 is one of the world's leading organisations in ranking and sharing management thinking and intellectual contributions.

Future readiness encompasses several dimensions, most notably fostering a culture of innovation and creativity, developing strategic foresight skills to anticipate the future, and instilling a mindset of adaptability and resilience to ensure sustainable success. CEO programme: RAM celebrates achievements of 35 C-suite executives
MUSCAT: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) celebrated the achievements of 35 C-suite executives, all private sector leaders, who recently completed the National CEO Programme. Held under the auspices of Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Royal Academy of Management, the graduation ceremony reflected Oman's ongoing commitment to enhance leadership capabilities at the national level, which is in line with the priorities of Oman Vision 2040 and the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to invest in human capital and strengthen institutional excellence. The National CEO Programme is a flagship initiative designed to equip private sector executives with the tools to lead effectively in today's complex and dynamic work environment. The participants undertook an eight-month immersive learning journey consisting of five core modules, interactive workshops, coaching sessions, field visits and exposure to global business trends. Hiba al Hinai, Programme Manager at the Royal Academy of Management, emphasised the national significance of the National CEO Programme and its alignment with Oman's ambition to empower future-ready leaders. She noted that since the launch of the programme in 2014, the National CEO Programme underscored the requirement for continued investment in executive talent to boost the private sector's competitiveness and inspire future generations. Helen Kerkentzes, Associate Dean for Executive Education at LBS, praised the fruitful collaboration with RAM, enabling the delivery of a truly distinguished learning experience. She expressed her pride in the partnership and commended the joint efforts that contributed to the programme's success. Eng Hamad bin Abdullah al Maamari, Executive General Manager, Technical Services and Decarbonisation Executive, Oman LNG, reflected on the transformative nature of the experience he shared with his fellow participants. He highlighted several key moments during the programme that significantly shaped their leadership development and broadened their strategic perspective. In his closing remarks, he extended his appreciation to the teams at RAM and LBS, as well as the subject matter experts, speakers and facilitators who enriched the programme with global insights and international best practices. Reflecting on his experience, Adnan bin Ahmed al Shuaili, Co-founder and CEO of eMushrif, said, 'The programme offered a series of enriching hands-on experiences, including in-depth case studies of leading global corporations and insights into how strategic decisions are made. It also featured immersive field visits that introduced us to international business cultures, making it an exceptional executive programme.' Dukhan bin Abdullah al Foori, Corporate Planning Manager at CCED, added, 'It was a privilege to join this inspiring community of national leaders. Beyond the skills and knowledge gained, the programme transformed my understanding of leadership.'
