Kate Middleton's Former Personal Assistant Unfollows This Royal Member On Instagram

Last Updated: Soon after her departure from the royal family, Archer, 37, made her Instagram page public. Princess Kate Middleton's former personal assistant seems to have made a few changes to her Instagram follow list a few days after her exit from the role. As per various news reports, Natasha Archer, who previously worked at the royal household, has unfollowed Meghan Markle on social media. Soon after her departure from the royal family, Archer, 37, made her Instagram page public. This allows netizens to see the profiles she follows. Earlier, she had a follow list of 400 users, which still includes the official accounts of the Prince and Princess of Wales and the royal family. However, as her follow list number recently dropped to 317, netizens were quick to notice that she has not added the official account of Meghan Markle to the list of users she follows, noted People. So far, it is not clear why Archer chose to unfollow Markle's account. To note, it is now public knowledge that Prince Harry and Meghan, who left their royal household a few years back, do not get along well with Princess Middleton and Prince William, or other members of the royal family. Surprisingly, Archer continues to follow other royals, including Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, along with King Charles III and Queen Camilla's royal page. However, she also seems to have unfollowed some close friends of Markle, including Daniel Martin, Delfina Blaquier, and Heather Dorak, whom she followed earlier. Archer has worked for the royal couple, the Prince and Princess of Wales, for over 15 years. She was hired by the duo in 2010 and marked her exit from royal duties on July 9. As per information shared in her Instagram bio, she decided to leave her responsibilities at Kensington Palace to start her own 'luxury consultancy" business. During her tenure of 15 years at the royal household, Archer gained several promotions, with her latest role being that of Senior Private Executive Assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales. She was handed this title in August 2022. Meanwhile, in 2019, she was honoured with the Royal Victorian Order for her dedication to serving their family. Kate Middleton's trusted aide quits, then unfollows Meghan Markle online, stirring new talk of a royal rift

Natasha Archer has been by the Princess of Wales's side since 2010. She selected outfits for overseas tours, was even on hand at the hospital for royal baby photo calls, ready with spare outfits and supplies and was promoted to Senior Private Executive Assistant in 2022. Last week Kensington Palace confirmed Archer, now 37, is leaving to start a private 'luxury consultancy.' Soon after the news broke, Archer switched her long-private Instagram profile to public. Royal watchers noticed two quick moves. She stopped following Meghan Markle , the Duchess's lifestyle label As Ever, and several friends in Meghan's circle, including makeup artist Daniel Martin and polo player Delfina Blaquier. The timing set off fresh speculation because the royal family is quietly trying to ease tensions with the Sussexes. Palace sources say aides for King Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex held an informal meeting in London this month to explore next steps toward better relations. Prince William's team did not attend, leaving doubts about how far any thaw can go. Commentators see Archer's 'unfollow' spree as a public hint that fences remain unmended. The Blast, citing insider chatter, called the move a 'controversial stunt' that risks undercutting reconciliation plans said to be backed by Princess Kate herself. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Paras Sector 59 Gurgaon | Paras Floret Low-Rise Flats Paras The Florett Book Now Undo People who have worked with Archer stress her loyalty to the Wales household. She received the Royal Victorian Order in 2019 for personal service and is married to royal photographer Chris Jackson. Friends say her new consultancy will advise private clients on travel logistics and event styling, skills honed during fifteen years on royal duty. Neither Kensington Palace nor the Sussex office has commented on the social-media changes. Online, opinions split quickly. Some see the unfollows as a harmless reset before Archer's career move. Others view them as a subtle show of support for Kate during a sensitive phase in family diplomacy. What happens next will likely unfold off camera. Kate is said to be focused on her children's summer break and on a fuller return to public engagements later in the year. Meghan remains in California, preparing for new launches under her As Ever brand. Behind the scenes, advisers on both sides are expected to keep talking, while Archer steps into private life with new clients and fewer royal handles in her feed. For royal watchers, the small click of an unfollow button has added one more twist to a story that shows no sign of fading from the spotlight.

Who is Kate Middleton's personal assistant? Why has she resigned after 15 years of service?

After 15 years of loyal service to the British royal family, Natasha Archer, a trusted aide and stylist to the Princess of Wales, has officially stepped down from her role at Kensington Palace, People magazine reported. Archer, 37, who was affectionately called 'Tash' within royal circles, has decided to launch her private consultancy. While further details about her new venture are expected soon, the Prince and Princess of Wales' household have extended their best wishes for her future. Archer joined the royal household in 2010 as a personal assistant to both Prince William and Princess Kate. Over the years, she became an integral part of Kate's inner circle, not only managing key responsibilities as a senior private executive assistant, but also playing a pivotal role in shaping the royal's public image. Credited with helping transform Kate from the 'girl-next-door' into a global style icon, Archer was instrumental in curating her wardrobe for major engagements, including international tours. During the royal visit to Australia and New Zealand in 2014, Kate wore 24 outfits in just 19 days — a feat made possible by Archer's meticulous planning and fashion eye. She championed sustainable fashion choices for the Princess, including encouraging her to rent a neon-green dress from the platform HURR for the 2022 Earthshot Prize Awards. Archer even convinced Prince William to wear a traditional sherwani during the couple's 2019 tour of Pakistan — a rare and symbolic fashion moment. Beyond her styling prowess, Archer was a constant companion on royal tours, accompanying Kate on a five-hour hike in Bhutan in 2016, and was present for deeply personal moments, including bringing baby essentials to the hospital ahead of Prince George's birth in 2013. In recognition of her dedicated service, Archer was awarded the Royal Victorian Order in 2019. She is married to Chris Jackson, a Getty royal photographer, whom she met while on duty. As she embarks on a new chapter in her career, the royal family continues its work, with Princess Kate gradually returning to public life after her recent cancer treatment. During a visit to Colchester Hospital earlier this month, Kate reflected on her journey, saying, 'You have to find your new normal — and that takes time.'

Shock as Kate's assistant and long-time stylist Natasha Archer steps away from royal life - as she reveals her next moves

After 15 years of loyal service, Natasha Archer, one of the most trusted figures within the Prince and Princess of Wales' inner circle, is stepping down from her royal role. The 37-year-old, who joined the royal household in 2007, has reportedly left her post to start a private styling consultancy, marking the end of an era for the woman once dubbed the brains behind "The Kate Middleton Effect". Archer began her career working for the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester before being personally chosen to assist William and Kate in 2010. Though officially hired as a personal assistant, she quickly became one of Catherine's closest confidantes- and, more famously, her unofficial stylist. "It's a huge privilege to work so closely with the royal family for over 15 years," a close friend told The Times, confirming a report first published by People. "But she is very much looking forward to new challenges and will cherish her time at Kensington Palace with the fondest of memories." Known affectionately as "Tash" by her friends, Archer has played a key role in shaping Kate's style, blending traditional royal elegance with contemporary fashion. Her influence sparked a phenomenon dubbed The Kate Middleton Effect, where anything worn by the Princess would rapidly sell out and boost the profile of British brands. A Vanity Fair insider revealed in 2014: "Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it. "Tash helps source some of the clothes. She shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on. "She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate's really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes." Beyond fashion, Archer has long been considered the Princes' "right-hand woman", supporting her during personal milestones and official duties alike. She's accompanied the couple on international tours to India, Bhutan, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway and Poland, and was one of the first by Kate's side following the birth of Prince George in 2013, arriving at St Mary's Hospital alongside the Princess' hairdresser ahead of the now-iconic Lindo Wing photo call. More recently, it's believed Archer was the one to collect the Princess of Wales from the London Clinic after her abdominal surgery in January, the operation that ultimately led to her cancer diagnosis. In the months since, the mother of two was reportedly part of the tight-knit group supporting the Princess privately as she underwent treatment. In recognition of her years of service, Archer was awarded the Royal Victorian Order in 2019, a personal honour granted by the monarch, then the late Queen Elizabeth II. Her husband, renowned royal photographer Chris Jackson, shared a proud tribute on Instagram at the time: "Could not be more proud of this one!" he wrote, alongside a photo of Archer wearing her medal. She was later promoted in 2022 to the position of Senior Private Executive Assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales. "She's unfailingly discreet and loyal to Kate," a friend told the Daily Mail at the time. "This appointment means we can expect to see Natasha by Kate's side for years to come." But while Tash's royal chapter is now closing, it's said to be on nothing but good terms. According to People, the royal household has wished her "the very best for the exciting opportunities ahead".

Will Kate Middleton's Parents Get Titles Once She's Queen?

Kate Middleton is poised to become Queen of England (okay, technically Queen Consort, but that's a whole thing), and her family will get an even bigger spotlight. While Kate's parents, Carole and Michael, already spend their time hanging with aristocrats—including princes, princesses, dukes, earls, and duchesses,—their official titles at the moment? Simply Mr. and Mrs. Middleton. And if you're wondering whether or not that'll change once Kate levels up to Her Majesty, the answer Just because their daughter will be Queen, doesn't mean the Middletons automatically get titles. This is because they weren't born into the royal family. On top of that, most "lesser" titles (like Earl and Duke) are passed down generation-to-generation, going back hundreds of years. However... It's uncommon, but fresh titles have been handed out in the past. For example, Prince Harry was made Duke of Sussex when he married Meghan Markle. That title was first created in 1801, "lapsed" in 1843, and wasn't revived until Queen Elizabeth II dusted it off to give to Harry in 2018. As for how many similarly lapsed titles are sitting around ready to be used, there appear to be several—the "Duke of Cumberland," for example. But granting a title to the Middletons would certainly be unusual, and there's no real precedent for titling a royal in-law since they're usually titled to begin with. That said, it's also possible that an entirely new title could be made up. Back in 2013, the Daily Mail speculated that Michael Middleton could be named Earl of Bucklebury, and noted that "the only other non-titled grandpa in the past millennium, the father of Edward IV's wife Elizabeth, also had an earldom bestowed on him." More recently the Daily Mail claimed that "insiders say this is more likely to happen when William becomes king." But even if that happens, she won't get a title. We know this thanks to Queen Camilla, who has six ladies-in-waiting that she calls "companions." They include Sarah Troughton, Fiona the Marchioness of Lansdowne, Lady Katharine Brooke, Baroness Carlyn Chisholm, Lady Sarah Kewick, and Jane von Westenholz. While a few of them clearly started the "job" with a title, the ones who didn't have yet to get one. One of Camilla's ladies in waiting, Sarah Troughton, was given a Royal Victorian Order in 2025 for service to the monarch, which makes her an official Dame. So, there is a world where Carole could be awarded for her service and be known as Dame Middleton, but again, this is all just speculation. On that we'll see what happens!
