Missing man's decomposed body found

After over three months of endless uncertainty, the search for the missing 68-year-old, Saminathan 'Gary' Pillai, has ended after he was tragically found dead in a bush in Elandspoort. According to his daughter-in-law, Nickayla Broodryk, Pillai's body was discovered on June 18 in the bushes close to a bridge at the entrance of Elandspoort. She said Pillai was found after a WhatsApp voice note from a community group was shared with them. 'The person who spoke on the voice note said there was a body and a motorbike in the bushes behind the Sasol garage and that people should check on their loved ones.' She said the description was the same as Pillai's. 'He was in a deteriorating condition when we identified him at the forensics.' Broodryk said Pillai has left a respectable legacy behind. 'My father-in-law was loved by everyone. They affectionately called him Daddy G, because he filled the father figure role for so many – not just through words, but through wisdom, kindness, and action.' 'He had a heart for people and was always willing to help,' she said. She said, despite the immense pain, they are united as a family and firmly rooted in their faith, which has been their source of strength. 'The support from all the cousins and extended family has been overwhelming, in the most beautiful way. 'We are truly grateful for every person who has stood by us, prayed with us, and carried us through this unimaginable time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.' Saminathan Pillai leaves behind his three sons Boo, Leroy, and Ishmail. ALSO READ: Family seeks help in finding missing man (68) Do you have more information about the story?
