Fans all say the same thing as Newcastle release 2025/26 away kit with TWO badges on it
NEWCASTLE United have stunned fans after unveiling their bold new away kit for the 2025/26 season - featuring TWO badges. The striking green and white shirt also raised eyebrows as it appears to resemble Saudi Arabia's kit in an apparent nod to the club's owners. 2 2 Released with the usual slick marketing video, the kit showcases stars such as Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Jacob Murphy all posing in the dual-crested strip, but most eyes weren't on the players. Instead, the attention was drawn to what fans are calling a colour and design problem. The club's classic crest is displayed on the left side of the chest and a second, more modernised badge, embossed below the neck. Social media exploded within minutes of the reveal with some supporters joking the Magpies are "tilting towards green and adding badges". Others were more baffled than amused, with one X user writing: "Can someone explain why we're wearing two badges? We only need one identity." Another added: "When do Chelsea get their Saudi kit too? Just curious since PIF seem to pay them more attention than us these days." Then a third fan said: "I wonder why we suddenly have green away kits the last few years." Club sources say the dual-badge design is a nod to "the past and the future" with the traditional crest symbolising heritage and the new logo pointing towards a "bold new chapter." But not all fans are convinced with many branding it a 'gimmick' and urging the club to 'stop fixing what's not broken'. Despite the online backlash, early sales report suggests the shirt is flying off the shelves — proof perhaps that controversy still sells in football fashion. Some fans also took the chance to ask about their striker Alexander Isak, who Sunsports understands wants to join Liverpool. The prolific striker has asked the club to allow him to explore other options. There is a huge chance that Isak could leave Newcastle this summer with a host of clubs in the Premier League and Europe monitoring his situation.

World Cup winner urges Juventus to sign Manchester United's Hojlund and Newcastle's Tonali
Former Serie A forward and Italian World Cup winner Luca Toni has claimed Juventus 'need to hit the gas if they want to catch up and fight for the title', with Liverpool's Federico Chiesa, Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali and Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund names mentioned as ideal reinforcements for the Bianconeri. Speaking in a lengthy interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Juventus and Roma forward said that 'I'd try to get Tonali every day of the week. He is expensive but he transforms your midfield. If I were Juventus, I'd bring back Chiesa on loan. He's out of the project at Liverpool and I would bet on his hunger for redemption.' (Photo by) 'If Kolo Muani pursuit fails, Juventus should try for Hojlund' Juventus are also in the market for a new striker, with Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic rumoured to be leaving the club this summer. The Bianconeri have already added Canadian attacker Jonathan David to their squad, of whom Toni was highly complimentary: 'Numbers are everything for a striker and David's are excellent. I'm curious to see if he can maintain that rhythm in Italy, where there is less space and stronger defences. It will be a good challenge for him. The quality of Yildiz will help. Keeping the Turkish talent feels like a huge signing for Juve, especially these days when it is tough for anyone to resist Premier League offers.' (Photo by) The Old Lady have also been linked with another loan move for PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani, who spent the second half of the 2024-25 campaign with the Bianconeri. Toni described the Frenchman as 'a European level striker who already knows Tudor, Juventus and Serie A – it makes sense to go after him again.' However, if a move for Kolo Muani falls through, Toni suggested that 'I would go for Rasmus Hojlund, maybe on loan. During his time at Atalanta, before the move to Manchester United, he gave me really good vibes. I'd go off that, not the struggles he has had in England.' Hojlund had a disappointing 2024-25 campaign with the Red Devils, scoring just four goals in 32 Premier League appearances. The Danish forward has been linked with Milan, Inter and Napoli this summer but no concrete moves have been made for the 22-year-old.

Pjanic tells Juventus to sign Newcastle star this summer
Former Juventus star Miralem Pjanic feels the Old Lady should sign Sandro Tonali to strengthen their midfield: 'He's just what they need.' Ex-Juventus midfielder Pjanic tells his former club to sign Italy international Tonali this summer. The Bianconeri have been looking for midfield reinforcement for weeks, regardless of the latest issues with Douglas Luiz. Tonali was linked with a move to Juventus before the end of the season, when Cristiano Giuntoli was still the Bianconeri director. (Photo by) Now, Damien Comolli has taken over at the Allianz Stadium, but Pjanic believes Juventus should still go for Tonali. 'I would sign Tonali; someone like him is worth the effort. He's Italian and has great potential,' Pjanic told Gazzetta. 'He won with Milan and has continued to improve in England. He's humble, strong, and with a touch of quality: what Juventus need.' Juventus have made several key changes within the club, hiring François Modesto as the new technical director and promoting Giorgio Chiellini to a more prominent role. 'Chiello loves Juventus. He knows the history and the locker room; he will be incredibly valuable.' Pjanic played 135 games under Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus, more than under any other coach. The Italian has now been appointed as the new Milan boss, so what does Pjanic expect from the Rossoneri? 'I often talk to Max, we had wonderful years together at Juventus,' the ex-Juventus and Roma midfielder replied. 'He's a friend and it's great to see him in Milan. He and Conte are the best in Italy, the most successful. Few handle the pressure like Allegri. Milan are aiming to finish in the top four, but when you have somebody like Max on the bench, it's normal to expect even more.'

Newcastle United transfer news: Joao Pedro, Anthony Elanga, James Trafford and more
Having ended their trophy drought with Carabao Cup success last season, Newcastle United now have work to do in the transfer market. With a return to the Champions League, the Magpies need to strengthen their squad to compete at the highest level. Boss Eddie Howe has made it known that he is looking to work fast this summer, seemingly not wanting to repeat the sort of saga that saw Marc Guehi remain at Crystal Palace despite strong interest. The Saudi-backed club have been without any major recruits over the past two seasons due to PSR rules, but could make a plunge in the summer market with a string of options already linked to the North East giants. Here's everything you need to know about Newcastle United 's summer transfer plans: There are four key areas of improvement this summer. The first is up front, with the club seemingly hunting for another striker to join the reliable Alexander Isak. Newcastle need reinforcements on the right flank too, as they prepare to do battle in the Champions League. Squad depth is important and that may play a key part in their recruitment plan this summer. In midfield, the Magpies have plenty of options with the likes of Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes in no need of additional support. However, another central defender would be a major plus as the club returns to Europe's top club competition. Finally, Newcastle have been linked to signing a new goalkeeper, which has become an apparent area that would benefit from improvement, despite Nick Pope's class, his injury record has sometimes meant Howe is forced to contend with his his back-up. Done deals Newcastle have been linked to £60m-rated Brighton front-man Joao Pedro. He managed 10 Premier League goals in the 2024/25 season, taking his Seagulls tally to 30 in all competitions across two terms. Anthony Elanga, Nottingham Forest Another player rated at around £60m is Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga. The 23-year-old Sweden international, who can play across the forward line, has shone at the City Ground after making the move from Manchester United. He provided 12 assists last season, notching a half dozen goals. James Trafford, In the goalkeeping department, Newcastle's principal target remains James Trafford. The England international, now 22 years old, recorded a remarkable 29 clean sheets in 45 Championship games on route to promotion back into the Premier League with Burnley. He has been a figure of interest for Howe's side in the past. Antoine Semenyo, In the attacking department, Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo has attracted attention according to BBC Sport. The Ghana international is said to be of interest to Newcastle after recording 19 goal involvements across all competitions on the south coast. Jaka Bijol, Udinese On the more outlandish side, Sky Sports Switzerland has claimed that Newcastle are looking to hijack Leeds United 's move for Udinese central defender Jaka Bijol. The 26-year-old Slovenia international has made close to a century of appearances for the Italian side, has worn the captain's armband, but is said to be having a medical at Elland Road. Jonathan David, Lille There has been a flip-flopping over the rumours surrounding Jonathan David's movements this summer. The Mirror have reported that there is a list of Premier League clubs interested in the prolific Canadian striker who netted 25 goals last season, but his likely destination remains unknown.
