Barcelona star's sale is back on track
A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga heavyweights Barcelona is inching towards the exit door once more. That's according to transfer insider Santi Aouna, who points towards Ansu Fati as the player in question. Advertisement The name of wide-man Ansu has of course been an altogether prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya's capital over recent weeks. This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the out-of-favour Spaniard had been identified as a leading transfer target on the part of Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco. Talks, in turn, have long been opened between the respective boards at the Camp Nou and Stade Louis II. Recent days had seen it suggested that negotiations had hit something of a roadblock, as the parties struggled to find common ground on the terms of a deal. As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the transfer now appears to be firmly back on track. Advertisement As per a report from Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato: 'The Spanish champions – seeing that no offers were arriving for their protégé – have decided to reconsider their stance (on the terms of a sale). Since then, discussions are moving in the right direction, as we can tell you that they are currently moving towards a loan with Monaco partially covering Fati's salary.' Conor Laird – GSFN

Real Madrid in last-minute transfer push against PSG
La Liga giants Real Madrid have repositioned themselves in the race for River Plate sensation Franco Mastantuono. That's according to transfer insider Santi Aouna, amongst others, who point towards Real as having reemerged as a leading player in the Mastantuono sweepstakes. Advertisement The name of River Plate's teenage sensation has dominated the headlines across Europe over the course of recent days. This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that Paris Saint-Germain had kicked into gear a concerted push to land Mastantuono in the summer. Some outlets, in fact, went as far as to point towards a deal between the parties as being all but imminent. Just as it appeared as though the newly-crowned Champions League winners had been afforded a free run at one of South American football's standout talents, however, a fresh twist in the tale has been touted. As per the aforementioned Santi Aouna: Advertisement 'For the moment, PSG remain the favourites in the Franco Mastantuono case. But in the last few hours, Real Madrid have made inquiries to find out whether the deal with PSG is already closed or not. The next few days will be important.' Conor Laird – GSFN
