Barcelona star's sale is back on track
A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga heavyweights Barcelona is inching towards the exit door once more.
That's according to transfer insider Santi Aouna, who points towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.

The name of wide-man Ansu has of course been an altogether prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya's capital over recent weeks.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the out-of-favour Spaniard had been identified as a leading transfer target on the part of Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.
Talks, in turn, have long been opened between the respective boards at the Camp Nou and Stade Louis II.
Recent days had seen it suggested that negotiations had hit something of a roadblock, as the parties struggled to find common ground on the terms of a deal.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the transfer now appears to be firmly back on track.

As per a report from Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato:
'The Spanish champions – seeing that no offers were arriving for their protégé – have decided to reconsider their stance (on the terms of a sale). Since then, discussions are moving in the right direction, as we can tell you that they are currently moving towards a loan with Monaco partially covering Fati's salary.'

Garnacho's Exit Hints Mirror a Long List of Players Who Forced a Transfer
Garnacho's Exit Hints Mirror a Long List of Players Who Forced a Transfer originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Within the last year, Alejandro Garnacho has shown a striking level of disrespect to the Manchester United hierarchy. Advertisement Three times he's liked social media posts critical of the manager and/or another player. Following the Europa League loss, he openly questioned the team selection. And then in the biggest display of petulance yet he posted a picture of himself on Instagram wearing Marcus Rashford's Aston Villa Shirt. But Garnacho is far from an outlier when it comes to pushing for a transfer. In the age of Social Media, it's easy to publicly vent frustrations. Dislike and Unsubscribe Rashford fueled the situation further by liking Garnacho's post. That came on the back of very public fall-outs with managers Erik Ten hag and Ruben Amorim. Advertisement Meanwhile, in 2023, after only six months at Brighton, Moises Caicedo took to Instagram with a message trying to convince the club to sell him. He was banned from the club's training ground for a eventually got his way and sealed a record-breaking move to Chelsea. One Strike and You're Out There's a star studded list of players who have taken the most extreme action - refusing to play - and it usually works. Whilst at Chelsea, Thibault Courtois simply refused to show up to pre-season training, leaving the club little choice but to cash in and allow the goalkeeper to secure the move to Real Madrid that he craved. Advertisement In his desire to leave Leicester, with whom he had recently won the EPL, Riyad Mahrez went on strike not once, but twice until the club eventually relented and sold him to Manchester City where he added trophies galore to his collection. The list goes Nunez, Dimitri Payet, Luis Suarez, Laurent Koscielny, Marcos Tojo, William Gallas are among the others that either refused to play or in some cases even train. All rode bad press train for a while but eventually got the moves they craved. Kane and Unable It's not without risk with the most high profile example being Harry Kane. When Manchester City revealed their interest in Kane in 2021, the striker failed to show up for Spurs pre-season tour to try and force the move. But Chairman Daniel Levy stood firm and it would be another two years before he finally departed. By that time City had signed Haaland; Kane later left for Bayern Munich and missed out on the domestic silverware he had hoped for. Raphinha Sees Silver Lining in FC Barcelona's Club World Cup Absence
Raphinha Sees Silver Lining in FC Barcelona's Club World Cup Absence originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup has brought lots of divided opinions in regards of having the tournament held in the summer right after a long season. FC Barcelona star Raphinha is one of those that is against having a Club World Cup right after a league season. Advertisement A popular opinion that is against the Club World Cup is the high risk of injuries for players who have played over 40 games in the recent 2024-25 European season. Raphinha spoke about the lack of time off for players who are participating in the Club World Cup. Barcelona did not qualify for the Club World Cup, which is a positive for Raphinha, who is currently on vacation. Raphinha couldn't help but feel sympathy for players who are playing the summer tournament in the U.S. The Brazilian star's words revealed how some players feel about playing more tournaments and reducing their vacation time, which, to Raphinha, is a problem. Advertisement Raphinha's words also caused divided opinions due to his complaints about having less time off, as his profession is a dream for many fans. Raphinha on the Club World Cup Raphinha mentioned the lack of communication from the organizers of soccer schedules to the players. Raphinha also gave a perspective of fellow Brazilian players who finished the European season and are currently at the Club World Cup. Raphinha: "Speaking personally, as a player from a European club, we would be on vacation, right? I'm on vacation; they would be on vacation. For example, Marquinhos and Beraldo were Champions League winners; they didn't even celebrate properly and traveled to play with the National Team, then went straight to the World Cup. They haven't stopped yet." Raphinha also revealed an ideal timeframe for players to enjoy vacations to be around three weeks to a month. The Brazilian player also reveals the obligations of players in regards to tournaments like the Club World Cup. Raphinha: "Having the obligation to give up vacations is very complicated because it's our right. Everyone deserves at least 3 weeks or 1 month of vacation. And many who are at the World Cup won't have that. It's really bad to give up my vacations to play something you're forced to. At no point did they ask the players about dates, if they wanted to play... They just say: 'You have to go, period.' We follow orders, we have to be there playing. So, speaking as a player from a European club, having to give up my vacations to play a new tournament is very complicated." When will FC Barcelona play again? FC Barcelona will start pre-season in late July, just two weeks after the end of the Club World Cup. Barcelona will be heading to Asia for three friendly matches.
