Sarah Jessica Parker Ghosted Nicolas Cage In The '90s

On Sunday, Sarah Jessica Parker finally confirmed a decades-old rumor that she once dated fellow actor Nicolas Cage. The two sparked romance rumors when they appeared together in the 1992 romcom Honeymoon in Vegas, however, neither of them has ever publicly commented on what went down between them… Until now. During her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Andy directly asked his long-time friend if she had dated Nicolas, and she coyly divulged: 'Um, yes, I did.' For what it's worth, this romance would have been pretty soon after Sarah Jessica ended her complicated seven-year relationship with Robert Downey Jr., and just before she started dating her now-husband, Matthew Broderick. Now, Nicolas has come forward to share some more insight into his dalliance with Sarah Jessica, revealing that they were serious enough for her to introduce him to her mother — only for her to ultimately ended up ghosting him. In a statement given to E! News on Monday, Nicolas said: "I cared about Sarah, but I don't think I passed the Mom Test.' "I recall sitting down with her and her mother for dinner at the Russian Tea Room, and I don't know if it was my blue Vanson Leather motorcycle jacket (which I still have) or my sinusitis, but I didn't hear from her again,' the statement concluded. Sarah Jessica has not publicly commented on Nicolas's revelation, however, it's fair to assume that whatever happened between them would be water under the bridge by now. Nicolas has been married five times since the brief romance. His first wife was actor Patricia Arquette, whom he married in 1995 before divorcing in 2001. He then wed Elvis Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, in 2002, but filed for a divorce just 107 days later. He married Alice Kim in 2004, with whom he welcomed a son, Kal-El, before divorcing in 2016, and tied the knot to Erika Koike in Las Vegas in 2019, but filed for an annulment just four days has been married to Riko Shibata since 2021, and the two welcomed a daughter together in August Sarah Jessica started dating Matthew in March 1992, and they got married in 1997. Together, they share three children: 22-year-old James, and 16-year-old twins Tabitha and Marion. What do you make of this 30-year-old gossip? Let me know in the comments below!

Sarah Jessica Parker Confirms She Dated Honeymoon In Vegas Co-Star Nicolas Cage

Sarah Jessica Parker has finally set the record straight on long-standing rumours about her romantic link to Nicolas Cage. Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed she dated Nicolas Cage. The 60-year-old And Just Like That star – who has James, 22, and 16-year-old twins Tabitha and Marion with husband Matthew Broderick – co-starred alongside the 61-year-old actor in the 1992 rom-com Honeymoon in Vegas. And Sarah Jessica has revealed the pair did have a brief romance during filming before she met her spouse in 1991. Appearing on Watch What Happens Live, host and close friend Andy Cohen asked her on Sunday's (13.07.25) episode if the gossip was true, to which she replied: 'Um, yes I did [date him]." Cohen reacted: 'Oh wow. We've got some talking to do!" During the chat, the Sex and the City actress also revealed she was the first to say 'I love you" to 63-year-old Lion King star Matthew. Meanwhile, Sarah Jessica recently admitted she thinks not being a 'Hollywood couple" has helped her marriage. The couple tied the knot in 1997, and she believes not speaking much about her personal life and being under the radar in New York has been key to their long-lasting romance. Asked the secret to her happy marriage, she told Britain's HELLO! magazine, 'Probably that I don't talk about it! It really is a secret. But maybe it's because we're not a Hollywood couple. We live in New York – maybe that's good." Sarah Jessica has also dated Michael J. Fox, Chris Penn, and Robert Downey Jr. Not long back, in a conversation with Alex Cooper, Sarah revealed that she was never 'frustrated" by the questionable choices Carrie Bradshaw, her iconic Sex and the City character made, like having an affair with a married Mr. Big while she was dating Aiden. She acknowledged her shortcomings, saying, 'There's a sentiment sometimes that she's frustrating or she's selfish or she makes poor decisions or she doesn't manage her money well. Yeah, all of that has been true over the course of the last 25 years." Despite all the criticisms Carrie received, Sarah believes that she is an 'extraordinarily decent and good person — an extremely devoted friend, she's generous of spirit and time, in all she has to offer." Sarah Jessica Parker avoids talking about politics online

Sarah Jessica Parker tries to avoid talking about politics on social media. The Sex and The City star has admitted she doesn't want to use her platform to address complex issues because social media sites are not "a place that's deserving of any real complicated conversation" and she worries anything she divulges could be "misunderstood". During an appearance on The Best People podcast, she explained: "I often don't talk on social media because I don't think it's a place that's deserving of any real complicated conversation. "I'm not interested in quick little snippets when it's dealing with conflict or even elections sometimes. "I really was so thoughtful about how I wanted to talk about the [2024 US] election because I think it turns into a distraction from a campaign. It turns into fodder. It's misunderstood. You have no control over it." Sarah Jessica added: "FDR [Franklin D. Roosevelt] was elected without social media [in 1932] ... Many things happened, right and left, Republicans and Democrats for many, many, many, many years - many generations were elected without someone having to say something on Instagram." However, the actress is adamant she doesn't want to be drawn into a conversation about complex issues online, adding: "I'm not going to talk about stuff that I don't feel educated on. "I'm not going to jump in on really complex areas that I feel are deserving of far more thought, consideration, nuance - which I know no one's interested in. "And I just feel like I want to be helpful. I don't want to hurt something that matters to me." Sarah Jessica previously shared her opinion on the 2024 election back in October when she posted a picture of herself holding a sign supporting the Kamala Harris and Tim Walz campaign for the Democrats. The pair lost out on the presidency at the US election in November to Republican candidate Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance. In the Instagram caption, she wrote: "For the love of my country, for our public schools, for books, for common sense gun laws, for a living wage, for opportunity, for women, for voting rights, the the Dreamers, for arts and culture, for my mother and senior citizens ... "And for a certain childless cat lady I play on TV. With an abundance of joy, optimism and pride I am voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz ."

Sarah Jessica Parker's shoe collection 'tragedy'

Sarah Jessica Parker's daughters don't have the right size feet to inherit her extensive collection of designer shoes. The Sex and The City star has a famously opulent footwear stash at home after being allowed to keep all the pricey heels she wore in the hit TV show, but she's now admitted she can't pass on her treasures to her 15-year-old twins Tabitha and Marion because they don't fit. During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Sarah Jessica explained: "My shoes don't fit them - it's really a tragedy. I'm actually not kidding, I find it really tragic ... "They can't [fit], one of them can sort of squeeze [in]." However, Sarah Jessica admitted the teenagers aren't that bothered about being able to dip into her fabulous wardrobe. She added: "Their taste is different than mine right now too. Like what I have is not necessarily of interest. They've never seen a [Sex and The City] show. "So they haven't an idea about what is available to them yet. But I do give, I give them stuff on my all the time, all the time." Sarah Jessica also revealed the twins use the money they earn from their summer jobs to buy their own clothes, which are mostly second-hand. She explained: "You know what, so many people rightfully ask that they just don't … they like clothing and I'll get a text a couple times a month asking can they purchase something. "But they mostly buy their clothes used. Almost entirely. Which I think is pretty common now with girls, young women their age, they'll be 16 later this month. "So they're pretty steady. They don't tend to be trend, they don't move toward that. They know they don't have a budget. "They don't have money with the exception of what they've earned. And one of them is a little bit better at earning than another who's pretty, she saves pretty well, they both had jobs last summer." During the podcast, Sarah Jessica also opened up about the contract clause which allowed her to keep all of her Sex and The City pieces. She said: "Previous to Sex and the City, I started working with a new attorney before I even met my husband. So about 35 years ago. And one of the most important things he said to me, outside of the fact that I think he's a terrific businessman and a great and fair attorney, is that from the beginning of our relationship, he said: 'You should always keep your clothing. No matter what it is.' "And he said: 'Some studios are gonna be harder to negotiate with about that because they like to have their own archive and that makes sense.' And he was totally right." She added: "There are studios that really wanna hang onto stuff. So it's a very complicated dance to get your pieces. But, so by the time I was doing Sex and the City, it was just in my contract that I have everything. "I mean, with the exception of something that a designer loaned us that needs to go back or a consignment piece from a vintage shop. But often those same designers would end up saying: 'Just keep it, have it be part of that archive.' So yeah, it's a huge amount."
