‘Soothrakavyam' trailer: Vincy Aloshious, Shine Tom Chacko film promises a mystery thriller

The makers of Soothrakavyam have released the trailer for the movie. The Malayalam film stars Shine Tom Chacko and Vincy Aloshious. The trailer shows Vincy playing a teacher in a school. Vincy's character is seen irritated as her students miss her classes to be part of sessions taken by Shine Tom Chacko's character, a cop. The trailer shows a series of humorous sequences before the tonal shift, as we are introduced to a police investigation track. Written and directed by Eugien Jos Chirammel, the movie will hit the screens on July 11, 2025. The movie will be presented by Kandragula Lavanya Rani. The movie was surrounded by controversy as Shine Tom Chacko faced allegations of drug abuse and misconduct raised against him by Vincy on the sets of Soothrakavyam. The actor was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act Sections 27 (Punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance) and Sections 29 (punishment for abetment and criminal conspiracy). On June 06, 2025, CP Chacko (70), father of Shine Tom Chacko, was killed in a road accident. The crash happened on the Dharmapuri national highway near Palacode in Dharmapuri district. While the septuagenarian was killed on the spot, the 41-year-old actor, his brother Joe John Chacko (36) and their mother Maria Carmel (65) were injured along with the driver.

Meena Kumari, also known as Mahjabeen Bano, is regarded as one of the finest female stars in Hindi cinema history. She worked in hits such as Baiju Bawra (1952), Parineeta (1953), Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai (1960), Dil Ek Mandir (1963), Kaajal (1965), Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962), Phool Aur Patthar (1966), Mere Apne (1971), and Pakeezah (1972). She died weeks before the release of Pakeezah, aged only 38. Meena got married to Kamal (Amrohi) in a secret ceremony on February 14, 1952. Kamal was an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter, known for films like Mahal. He established his own studio known as Kamal Amrohi Studios in 1958.
