Brooklyn Beckham sparks fan fury for 'totally unnecessary' comment
Brooklyn Beckham has faced a backlash from fans following his comment on his wife's stunning photograph. Nicola Peltz, 30, ensured she commanded attention in the risqué image, which she confidently shared on Instagram whilst posing flawlessly in the bath - completely naked. The billionaire heiress wrote alongside the picture: "Best memories" accompanied by a series of holiday emojis, whilst devoted husband Brooklyn, 26, enthused: "I took the photo in the bath" followed by a love heart. Nevertheless, fans were clearly unimpressed by his reaction, with numerous followers criticising him in the comments section. Describing the response as 'completely unnecessary', one remarked: "Hey, every time we know you took the photo, don't have to say it every time," reports the Mirror. Another responded: "Well, that should get some tabloid coverage" whilst a third remarked: "He has no choice! He has to do everything she says." The image shared by Nicola Peltz. Meanwhile, a fourth raged: "We get it, you guys love each other. Maybe spend more time telling each other than telling the world." Nevertheless, there were some supportive responses, as one admirer commented: "Some nasty comments from jealous people! Wow ... be better. They're a beautiful young couple who happen to be rich ! Good luck to them I say." This emerges as the rift between the pair and the Beckham clan persists, with Brooklyn and Nicola displaying no indication of reconciling with David and Victoria following their absence from the England legend's 50th birthday celebrations in May. Brooklyn and his brothers, Romeo and Cruz, also refuse to follow one another on Instagram as speculation about sibling rivalry continues to mount. As the rift persists, Brooklyn's godfather, Sir Elton John, has allegedly intervened to attempt restoring harmony after entertaining the aspiring chef and Nicola in Cannes. The musical icon, 78, recently treated the young pair to lunch in the celebrity hotspot alongside husband David Furnish. The meeting occurred at the exclusive La Guerite beach club, where the group supposedly discussed the tense family situation. "Elton is the showbiz equivalent of Switzerland," a source told The Sun regarding Elton's mediation efforts. "He's utterly neutral in this row." And whilst the Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting) star may have previously embraced celebrity feuds, such as his former spat with Madonna, those around him say he's now more focused on preserving harmony. The insider revealed: "Elton of old may have relished in taking sides - in this case his young godson, Brooklyn, but two years off his 80th birthday, he's a man who has seen and done it all. "He just wants everyone to be happy." Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.

‘Pay us what you owe us': WNBA All-Stars make statement with warmup shirts
All of the players on Team Clark and Team Collier warmed up for Saturday night's WNBA All-Star Game in shirts that read 'Pay us what you owe us.' The shirts come after the players and the league failed to reach a new collective bargaining agreement at an in-person meeting Thursday. The league's players opted out of their last CBA in October, and are looking for a better revenue-sharing model, increased salaries, improved benefits and a softer salary cap. 'I'm just so inspired by the amount of players that showed up, the engagement that was there,' WNBPA president Nneka Ogwumike said. 'That's really what it's all about. Because the more that happens, the more that we're going to be able to get things done. I think today we're going to be able to use this conversation to start rolling the ball on things.' After the failed negotiations, many players said there was a large discrepancy between what they wanted and what the league was offering. If a new CBA is not reached by October some players, including All-Stars Napheesa Collier and Angel Reese, have mentioned the potential of a walkout.
