Vijay Antony's ‘Shakthi Thirumagan' to clash with Sivakarthikeyan's ‘Madharasi' in September
The makers of Shakthi Thirumagan, Tamil actor Vijay Antony's upcoming film with Aruvi director Arun Prabu Purushothaman, announced on Thursday (July 10) that the film will release in theatres on September 5, clashing with Sivakarthikeyan's Madharasi. Vijay Antony Film Corporation, the banner owned by the actor's wife and producer Fatima Vijay Antony, announced the news on its official X handle. The cast of Shakthi Thirumagan also includes Vaagai Chandrasekar, Sunil Kriplani, Cell Murugan, Trupti Ravindra, and child actor Keshav. Vijay Antony will be handling the music for the film. Cinematographer Shelley Calist and editor Raymond Derrick Crasta, who were a part of Arun's films Aruvi and Vaazhl, are also on board Shakthi Thirumagan. The film will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam under the title Bhadrakaali. Notably, a controversy had erupted earlier over the ownership of the Telugu title of Shakthi Thirumagan. The film was originally titled Parasakthi in Telugu, which is also the title of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film with Sudha Kongara. The producers of the two films later met and resolved the issue, finalising that Sivakarthikeyan's film will be titled Parasakthi in both Tamil and Telugu and that Vijay's film will be titled Shakthi Thirumagan in Tamil and Bhadrakaali in Telugu.

Vijay Antony has teamed up with director Arun Prabhu for his 25th film titled 'Shakthi Thirumagan' in Tamil and 'Bhadrakaali' in Telugu. Director Arun Prabhu's eagerly awaited Neo-political thriller 'Shakthi Thirumagan', featuring actor Vijay Antony in the lead, will release on September 5 this year, its makers have now announced. As politicians, bureaucrats, cops and the public wonder who is behind this scam, they realise that they are in the dark and that a man named Kittu is behind it… The teaser does what it is supposed to do. It teases you into wondering what the scam is, how it was pulled off and what repercussions Kittu is likely to face. On the whole, the teaser promises a gripping thriller. Shakthi Thirumagan has been produced by Vijay Antony Film Corporation and features a musical score by Vijay Antony. The film has an ensemble cast that includes Vijay Antony, Vaagai Chandrasekar, Sunil Kripalani, Cell Murugan, Trupthi Ravindra, Kiran, Rini Bot, Riya Jithu and Master Keshav among others. Maargan actor Vijay Antony to collaborate with Yamakaathaghi maker for his next
The multi-hyphenated Tamil film personality Vijay Antony, who is not only an actor, but also edits, scores music, and sings, besides producing films, is gearing up for release of his next film Maargan. The Tamil film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 27, and will be a mystery thriller with a supernatural twist. While that is one of his upcoming projects, Vijay Antony, in a conversation with OTTplay, revealed that he will be teaming up with a yet another young director, Peppin George Jayaseelan, who made the 2025 Tamil film Yamakaathaghi. While the latter is releasing on June 27, Shakthi Thirumagan is also likely to be a 2025 theatrical release. While speaking to OTTplay on the sidelines of promoting Maargan, Vijay Antony revealed that his next, after Lawyer, will be with Peppin George Jayaseelan, who made the critically-acclaimed Tamil film Yamakaathaghi. The supernatural mystery thriller film released earlier this year and marked the director's debut. An official announcement on Peppin and Vijay Antony's is yet to be made. One can expect more details in the coming months. Meanwhile, Vijay Antony's Maargan is directed by Leo John Paul who has also worked as editor in many films.
