Time after time, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan proves that he is truely the 'people's president'. Images emerging from a recent sports event held in Abu Dhabi have shed another light on this humanitarian aspect in the UAE leader's character. The photos shared on social media showed Sheikh Mohamed talking with kids, shaking their hands and hugging them in tender fatherly gestures. Take a look: In a sign of appreciation and love to Sheikh Mohamed, some children placed a kiss on the leader's forehead The children, who wore sports attire, were participating in Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS); the Middle East's largest indoor sports festival, held annually at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. Designed to provide a fun, safe, and healthy escape from the summer heat, ADSS includes events for sports like football, basketball, tennis, badminton, padel, volleyball, table tennis, cricket. During his visit to encourage the athletes, Sheikh Mohamed also talked to expats and posed for photos with them. Such heartwarming encounters with the President occur occasionally. During US President's Donald Trump's recent visit to the UAE, a young Emirati girl was waiting among the crowds to welcome him. She caught the attention of Sheikh Mohamed who interacted with her. And at one point, he was seen putting an arm around her as she smiled and placing a kiss on her forehead. In October, Sheikh Mohamed personally expressed his gratitude to a group of foster mothers who have been taking care of children with all their hearts.

The meeting between the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and President Putin explored the deep-rooted friendship and strong strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Russian Federation. The two sides exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual interest and discussed several key items on the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting agenda, particularly the importance of advancing sustainable development goals to foster prosperity for nations and communities worldwide.

President Sheikh Mohamed holds talks with President of Iraq
President Sheikh Mohamed on Friday received a phone call from Abdul Latif Rashid, President of Iraq. The two men discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and stressed the importance of enhancing dialogue to find diplomatic solutions to regional issues, state news agency Wam reported. Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the importance of consolidating peace, maintaining security and stability, while Mr Rashid stressed the same. They also discussed the possibility of developing joint action between the UAE and Iraq, before exchanging seasonal greetings for the Islamic New Year. It comes as the Emirates joins the Muslim world in celebrating what is known as Hijri New Year, which heralds the beginning of Muharram, the first of 12 months on the Islamic calendar. On Thursday, Sheikh Mohamed wrote on X: "Congratulations to the people of the UAE and Muslims everywhere on the occasion of Hijri New Year. "I pray that the year ahead brings lasting peace and stability to the region and the world, and advances progress and prosperity for all." Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, also said he hoped the start of the new year would bring "peace, stability and prosperity" in a message on X.

Emir of Qatar and the UAE President Meet in Doha
The Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, met with the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, in Doha on Thursday, June 26. The two leaders discussed the strong relations between their two countries and ways to further strengthen their countries' relationship, which will benefit their people. The two leaders also discussed the latest political developments in the Middle East and ways to promote peace and stability in the region. The meeting followed the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, and H.H. Sheikh Mohamed praised the Emir's efforts in bringing about this ceasefire. The UAE President expressed his country's solidarity with Qatar and its people after the recent attack on the Al Udeid Air Base.
