Tata Technologies and Emerson collaborate to fast-track mobility innovation

Tata Technologies has announced a global partnership with Emerson to develop cutting-edge, integrated testing and validation solutions tailored for next-generation mobility. This collaboration is designed to address the increasing complexity in electric, connected, and autonomous vehicles by combining Tata Technologies' prowess in systems engineering and platform development with Emerson's test and measurement automation capabilities. The strategic alliance will cater to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicle segments worldwide. Together, the two companies aim to reduce product development timelines and costs, enabling faster time-to-market for advanced mobility solutions. 'This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to building a software-defined future,' said Nachiket Paranjpe, President and Head of Automotive Sales at Tata Technologies. Accelerating EV and Infotainment Validation Highlighting the early success of the partnership, Tata Technologies and Emerson completed the development of EV powertrain test rigs for a European luxury OEM in just five months — a 67 per cent improvement over the conventional 15-month timeline. In another joint project, the duo created a fully automated validation setup for a premium infotainment head-up display unit, executing over 30,000 test scenarios to expedite development cycles. 'This is a powerful synergy between Emerson's test innovation and Tata Technologies' engineering scale,' said Shitendra Bhattacharya, Country Head and Director, Emerson's Test and Measurement business in India. Pilot programmes are already underway across India, Europe and North America, with further joint solutions planned. As OEMs navigate the demands of software-defined and connected vehicles , this collaboration is set to offer intelligent, end-to-end testing ecosystems that keep pace with the dynamic transportation industry.

Emerson, Tata Technologies to build advanced testing solutions for nextgen mobility

Emerson, a player in industrial technology and advanced automation solutions, announced a strategic partnership with Tata Technologies, a product engineering and digital services provider, on July 9, 2025. This partnership aims to innovate integrated testing and validation solutions for global OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) in the automotive, aerospace and commercial vehicle sectors. According to a joint statement from these companies, the partnership will combine advanced test and measurement solutions from Emerson, a player in software-connected testing, with Tata Technologies' global engineering services and deep domain expertise in systems engineering, Electrical/Electronic architectures, and mobility platforms and help manufacturers. Emerson and Tata would equip OEMs to meet the challenges of increasingly complex software-defined, connected, electric and autonomous vehicles by delivering intelligent, scalable and cost-effective validation frameworks that accelerate development and reduce cost to bring competitive products to market, it further said. 'This collaboration represents a powerful synergy between Emerson's test and measurement innovation and Tata Technologies' engineering scale,' said Shitendra Bhattacharya, country head and director for Emerson's Test and Measurement business in India. Together, the companies would be able to deliver end-to-end solutions that help customers reduce complexity and stay ahead in a highly dynamic transportation landscape, he added. Nachiket Paranjpe, president and head of automotive sales at Tata Technologies said, 'This partnership reinforces our commitment to engineering a software-defined future, helping OEMs innovate faster, and delivering connected, autonomous, and sustainable mobility that delivers a great customer experience.' Early results underscored the potential of the collaboration to accelerate next-generation mobility, the firms claimed. In a recent pilot engagement with a European luxury OEM, the team developed EV powertrain test rigs in just five months, with preliminary results suggesting a 67% faster timeline compared to typical 15-month builds. In another project with a premium European brand, a fully automated validation setup for a next-generation infotainment head-up display unit was delivered, executing over 30,000 test scenarios and helping to speed up product development, they stated. Pilot programmes were underway in India, Europe and North America, with both companies planning further customer collaborations and joint solution developments to help customers deliver competitive products, said the communique.
