Plus, other new channels which returned this week TELLY TIME Sky is bringing back TWO channels tomorrow after they disappeared from TV guides – exact codes for return SKY customers will be able to access two channels which disappeared from TV guides from tomorrow. The media giant is bringing back the channels free of charge - giving punters more entertainment to choose from. Another channel that's coming back on screens is Sky Superman which is now branded Sky ScFi/HorHD. Viewers can access Sky Action by using the code 307/851 on satellite and 307 on Sky Glass/Stream. Sky Superman has launched to EPG number 311 on both satellite and Sky Glass/Stream. Advertisement MORE SKY CHANGES There are more changes on Sky this week - though these will only affect Sky Cinema subscribers. As part of regular refreshes, Sky Blockbusters, Sky Pitch Perfect and Sky Family are all disappearing. In their place will be Sky Hits, Sky Comedy and Sky Fantasy respectively. Punters can also flick on 11 more channels which include a range of content, including art, documentaries and sports. Advertisement Punters won't need to do anything to gain access to the channels, as the update will be made automatically. The fresh add-ons include popular BBC show Homes Under The Hammer. Sky is dishing out free TV channel upgrades, and here's how to watch it
Sky has just launched six new channels and all can be viewed for free. Tired of the same old content on your TV? There's some good news if you have Sky beamed into your living room, with the telly firm announcing that it has launched some brand new channels. The best part is, they won't cost a penny extra to watch. These so-called FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming Television) channels include sports, documentaries and art, with a total of six new services now available to tune into. The boost has launched on devices including Sky Glass Gen 2, Sky Glass Air and Sky Stream boxes. Those with older Sky Q gadgets can also view the channels via Xumo Play app. Sky says that users should not need to update or retune their devices, with the update arriving automatically. If you have Sky installed and the boost sounds enticing, you'll find full details about what's available and where to find the channels below. Sky Sports Classics: This channel lets you delve into the Sky Sports Premier League archives with the likes of Premier League Icons and Premier League Legends. You'll find Sports Classics on channel 1001. Sky Sports Vault: This 2nd new sporting service offers a whole host of archive darts, EFL and boxing content including 30 Years of The PDC World Darts Championship and Fight Night. You'll find it Sports Vault on channel 1002. Sky Sports Stories: There's also a 3rd new channel dedicated to sports. Sky Sports Stories has a documentary for every fan - from EFL Rivalries to Her Huddle. You'll find Sports Stories on channel 1003. Pick Monkey Rescue: This one is for animal lovers. Pick Monkey Rescue features episodes of the Monkey Life series. You'll find Monkey Rescue on channel 1004. Emergency 24/7: As it says on the tin this channel is dedicated to emergencies with Highway Cops, Air Ambulance ER and Stop Search Seize, plus many more shows, Emergency 24/7 is packed full of drama. You'll find Emergency 24/7 on channel 1005. Sky Artist of The Year (channel 1006): Finally there's a channel for art aficionados, viewers can catch up on Sky's Portrait Artist of the Year and Landscape Artist of the Year. You'll find Artist of the Year on channel 1006. If you don't want to start pumping those numbers into your remote, don't forget that they can also be found via voice search on your remote. Just speak the channel name and number and you'll get instant access. It's not just Sky dishing out content for free. Virgin Media also recently confirmed the launch of two new free channels, which come packed with movies. If you have a Virgin TV 360, Stream or V6 box, you should have the new Virgin Media channels right now. They are British Screen Classics and wedotv movies, which can be found on channel 450 and 451 respectively. British Screen Classics shows films and TV shows from the libraries of ITV Studios and Studio Canal. wedotv movies is described as a 'contemporary film channel with a catalogue of over 500 movies across all genres.

SKY Sports subscribers were temporarily blocked from popular channels last night due to a strange tech glitch. Viewers who pay for the premium sports package were met with an unexpected message saying they were not a subscriber when trying to access the channels. 1 Warning message appeared on main screen of Sky Glass and Sky Stream Credit: Jamie Harris / The Sun The issue only hit A fix was quickly offered by the broadcaster, who put out a warning on the main screen of TVs. The message said: "If you're having issues watching Sky Sports, unplug your Sky device from power for 30 seconds and plug back in." Reports first emerged at 4pm on Wednesday, when one watcher wrote on Sky's forum that "all sky sports channels are saying that i need to upgrade to view this channel." Another commented: "This afternoon the sports, cricket, F1, golf have stopped on my stream service, with the message, you need to upgrade your subscription.? "I checked my products, I am paying for the sports pack, I can see the programmes on my phone using the app. "When I press the TV to upgrade the subscription it says I already have it!" The broadcaster has decided to add a series of so-called FAST (Free Ad Supported TV) channels to the main selection screen. However, you can get to them even quicker by using your voice or keying into the channel number on your remote. Among them is Sky Sports Classics, home to Sky Sports Premier League archives with the likes of Premier League Icons and Premier League Legends. The full list of six channels are: Sky Sports Classics Sky Sports Vault Sky Sports Stories Pick Monkey Rescue Emergency 24/7 Sky Artist of The Year Elsewhere, Sky Sports Vault revisits a whole host of archive darts, EFL and boxing content including 30 Years of The PDC World Darts Championship and Fight Night. And Sky Sports Stories is the place for sporting documentaries, from EFL Rivalries to Her Huddle. If you recognise the channels you're not mistaken. They were first made available a year ago via the little-known Xumo Play app, where you can find about 70 free extra channels. Sky insider reveals little-known voice tricks for your TV - including hack to NEVER lose the remote Today's changes put Sky's own six channels from the Xumo app directly onto the TV guide like any other channel. The free Sky Sports channels can be found on 1001, 1002 and 1003 respectively. Pick Monkey Rescue, on number 1004, shows episodes from the Monkey Life series. And on 1005 it's Emergency 24/7 with programmes such as Highway Cops, Air Ambulance ER and Stop Search Seize. Finally, Sky Artist of The Year, on number 1006, allows viewers to catch up on Sky's Portrait Artist of the Year and Landscape Artist of the Year. Rival Virgin Media has been dabbling in a similar move with FAST channels. So, although Sky Q customers won't find them directly on their TV guide they can still watch them via the Xumo app.
