(Video) Local VFX Artist Sofian Collabs With 'Superman' Star David Corenswet
Last month, local visual effects (VFX) artist Sofian, known online as Sofyank96, shared the exciting news that he will be collaborating on a video with yet another Hollywood star. The content creator teased that he will be meeting 'Superman' star David Corenswet during the actor's media junket in the Philippines. Since posting his teaser, fans have been eagerly awaiting what the Malaysian talent has been working on in the editing room. Now that the highly anticipated film has been released (Thursday, 10th July), so too has the influencer's new promotional video with the actor. Watch: Yesterday (Wednesday, 9th July), Sofian finally released his collaboration video with David Corenswet. The skit follows the Malaysian artist as he auditions for a role in the 'Superman' film alongside the leading star. During the audition, he stands next to David and demonstrates his superhuman strength and ability to fly, all of which are later revealed to be special effects, exposing that he was cheating to land the role. When it came to demonstrating the final ability, heat vision, Sofian struggled to project beams from his eyes until David handed him Clark Kent's glasses. With them on, Sofian successfully destroyed a cardboard cut-out of a monster using his heat vision, but soon lost control and ended up damaging the camera lens. As the 28-year-old was processing what happened, the actor took the chance to promote the film. 'Auditioned to be Superman, but David was the judge. Let's just say… cheating doesn't fly❌' the content creator wrote in the caption. As expected, Malaysians expressed their excitement over Sofian's latest collaboration, once again praising him for his impressive VFX work. Many also tagged 'Superman' director James Gunn, urging him to hire the young talent for the visual effects team on his next project. With all the collaborations he has done and his skills improving with each one, it's surely time Sofian was given the opportunity to work on a Hollywood production. Whether you know him as Sofyank96 or by his real name, Sofian, the local visual effects (VFX) artist has certainly come a long way since his early days of content creation. With an impressive résumé that includes producing spectacular promotional videos for films and collaborations with Hollywood stars such as Paul Rudd and Tom Cruise, there's little doubt that the 28-year-old is well on his way to achieving his dream of making it big. It looks like he'll be adding another Hollywood collaboration to his portfolio. Earlier this week, the local content creator teased his followers that he was heading to the Philippines to work on a promotional video with a very 'super' actor, who is set to release his upcoming film later this year. 'I'll be flying to the Philippines to film a new collaboration with an actor from an upcoming superhero film! Any guesses who it is?' Sofian captioned a photo of himself at the airport on Instagram. With several titles announced this year, many speculated it could be either Marvel's 'Fantastic Four' or DC's 'Superman'. However, the answer was officially revealed yesterday (Thursday, 19th June). The Malaysian VFX artist posted a Reel on his Instagram, showing him walking down a street in formal attire while reading a newspaper. Suddenly, beams of light, possibly missiles, appeared in the sky, with one striking a section of the building directly above him and several civilians. Sofian sprang into action, shielding the bystanders from the falling debris with his body before flying off, as the camera panned to reveal the iconic 'S' symbol in the sky. If that wasn't obvious enough, the influencer confirmed the exciting news in his caption, writing: 'I had the opportunity to join the 'Superman' movie junket in the Philippines. Soon, I'll be filming content with Superman himself, David Corenswet. Pray that everything goes smoothly.' As expected, Malaysians expressed their excitement over Sofian's achievement, praising him for representing the country on an international stage. Some even joked that the content creator collaborating with Hollywood stars is akin to Thanos collecting the Infinity Stones in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame.' ‘Nothing Lasts Forever,' Says Top Investor About Palantir Stock
Palantir (NASDAQ:PLTR) stock presents investors with quite a quandary. Confident Investing Starts Here: On the one hand, there is no denying that the company has delivered incredible growth over the past few years. Its revenues are skyrocketing, its margins are strong, and its list of customers continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Its share price has responded in kind, surging by over 466% over the past twelve months. And therein lies the rub, as PLTR is now trading at elevated multiples that are far and above the sector average. This leads to the question of whether all that company growth has led to enthusiasm that is a bit too optimistic. Top investor Riyado Sofian is decidedly on the fence, and is not sure which way the winds will blow. 'It's hard to decide whether to buy or sell — best to just hold it,' states the 5-star investor, who is in the top 3% of TipRanks' stock pros. Sofian outlines the bull case, describing a company that has introduced game-changing AI technology that sets the firm apart from its peers. Beyond the growing sales, profits, and customers, the investor also points out that revenues from Palantir's top 20 customers increased by 26% year-over-year, a strong indication of customer satisfaction. While the company continues to raise its guidance, it often succeeds in going well beyond these numbers, notes Sofian, and it has repeatedly 'destroyed its guidance' in previous quarters. In other words, more massive growth could be on the horizon for Palantir. 'All things considered, this is execution on an elite level — there's no denying it,' adds Sofian. And yet, judging by traditional metrics, the company is overvalued, the investor acknowledges, and its narrative as 'the most important AI company in the West' is what has powered its continuing ascent. For that reason, as long as the company's growth continues apace, PLTR should continue to rise as well. However, that is far from certain, and at a valuation of 100x its revenues, there is practically no room for error if the impressive rate starts to slow. To this point, Sofian reminds investors that nothing lasts forever. With neither a Buy nor a Sell looking particularly appealing, Sofian is splitting the difference and rating PLTR shares a Hold (i.e. Neutral). Of the 18 analyst reviews on file, 11 say Hold, while just 3 recommend Buy and 4 suggest Sell, making PLTR a consensus Hold. Malaysian visual effects (VFX) artist Mohamad Sofian, a.k.a Sofyank96, has worked with many talented stars who praised his work and talents. The content creator recently added another renowned collaborator to his portfolio – the one and only Tom Cruise. Yesterday, Sofian shared a photo of himself with the Hollywood actor from their meeting in Tokyo. Tom is currently in Japan to promote his film, 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning'. In the photo, the VFX artist is seen happily posing alongside the actor and his friend, videographer Muhammad Shaffuan. Sofian expressed his happiness in the captions, writing, 'Alhamdulillah!
