Meet Deeannah Seymour, Founder of pH-D Feminine Health

Share with your friends! Pinterest LinkedIn Email Flipboard Reddit Deeannah Seymour turned an awkward problem into an entrepreneurial revolution. After discovering boric acid could solve a deeply personal issue, she founded pH-D Feminine Health and launched a quiet uprising in women's wellness. What began with a single product has grown into a movement of education and empowerment. Meet the woman sparking smarter conversations and redefining how we care for our bodies, Deeannah Seymour. Pin What first sparked the idea for pH-D Feminine Health? It's true what they say … necessity is the mother of invention. I had struggled with my own feminine care issues, and I was looking for a holistic solution backed by science. I found it in an ingredient called boric acid, in the form of vaginal suppositories. This ingredient changed my life, and I knew I had to find a way to bring it to market, knowing it would benefit millions of women. Have you found it tricky to start the dialogue about feminine health? Since day one of starting pH-D, we have been intentional about creating a platform where we can have open, honest conversations surrounding feminine health. Our brand was one of the first to openly discuss and educate on two of the top reasons women will visit a doctor: feminine odor and itch. In doing so, we're working to remove the shame and stigma associated with these deeply personal issues that most women experience at some point in their lives. It's been incredible to witness the effects of creating a safe space for these conversations. Women (and men alike) are engaging and tagging each other … all in an effort to lift each other up and help friends or loved ones find solutions for their feminine health issues. We're proud to announce the launch of our boldest initiative yet: Raise Your Vagina iQ™, a nationwide campaign that kicked off with two billboards in Times Square, joined by the always-fabulous Sonja Morgan of The Real Housewives of New York City. This movement was born from a decade of witnessing just how many women struggle to describe what's happening with their own bodies because they were never taught the accurate, anatomical language to do so. Instead, many were encouraged to use vague or 'softer' terms, reinforcing the idea that real words are somehow inappropriate. That language gap has real consequences, especially in medical settings, where too often, women don't receive the care they need simply because they can't clearly express their symptoms. To help bridge that gap, we created a fun, accessible online quiz and educational platform that empowers women (and men!) to better understand and communicate about feminine health. Are you a VagiNewbie, a VaGenius, or maybe even a VaGedictorian? Take the quiz and find out because smarter words lead to smarter care. Pin Women's health has often been misunderstood or ignored. How did you decide where to begin making a difference in such a sensitive space? It's no secret that women's health has historically been underfunded, under-researched, and undervalued — and our story is a powerful example of that. The solution I brought to market, boric acid suppositories, had been used for decades but was only available through expensive, inconvenient compounding pharmacies. Legacy companies overlooked it entirely because there was no intellectual property protection, meaning anyone could replicate the product once it was launched. That didn't stop me. I wasn't motivated by exclusivity; I was driven by purpose. I had experienced firsthand how life-changing this product could be, and I felt a moral obligation to make it accessible to the millions of women who needed it. We didn't expect just how massive the unmet need truly was. By introducing boric acid suppositories into mainstream retail, we didn't just launch a product — we created an entirely new category in the feminine care industry. And that category has given women across the country a safe, effective, affordable alternative they didn't even know was possible. Pin What are some of your most memorable 'pinch-me' moments? Some of my most unforgettable 'pinch-me' moments come from conversations with our customers and the healthcare providers who trust and recommend our products. I've had thousands of deeply moving interactions — many tearful — where women have shared that our products changed their lives, restored their confidence, saved their marriages, or finally gave them relief after years of suffering. Providers have told me we've transformed how they practice medicine and helped them significantly reduce their reliance on antibiotics. There's no greater reward than knowing the work my team and I are doing is truly making a global impact on women's health. Where do you see the conversation around women's wellness heading in the next few years, and what change would you love to see? Over the past two years, we've seen a powerful shift in the conversation around women's health, particularly when it comes to menopause. And it's long overdue. My own mother endured menopause in silence because it simply wasn't talked about. Today, thanks to high-profile women who are openly sharing their experiences, more women feel empowered to speak up, seek care, and finally feel seen. As a result, many are reclaiming their health, energy, and lives. That said, we still have a long way to go, especially when it comes to equitable representation in clinical trials and the development of treatments truly tailored to women. But I believe we're at a tipping point. Women are starting to demand better care for themselves and future generations. And that demand is what will ultimately lead to better outcomes, better innovation, and a dramatically improved quality of life for women everywhere. Pin You spend a lot of time helping others. What do you do to embrace your own self-care? I'm on the road for at least six months of the year. A year ago, with a renewed focus on my health, I joined an all-women's gym called TNB Fitness. When I'm in town, I get up at 5 a.m. so I can be in the gym at 6 a.m. and in the office by 8 a.m. When I'm on the road, I get to the hotel gym or try to move as much as I can. Sometimes, it's a fast-paced walk (or run) through the airport. I also love my pop-up infrared sauna. What's something about you that might surprise people? I am a living organ donor, an experience that forever changed my life. Nearly 11 years ago, I donated a kidney to my friend's four-year-old son, Jake. Saying yes to that decision taught me one of the greatest lessons of my life: how to quiet the noise, listen to where we're being guided, and choose faith over fear. Pin What's the best piece of advice you've ever received? One of the most lasting lessons my dad taught me was simple: 'Whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well.' That quote still sits on my desk today. He reminded us often that no task, no matter how small or routine, was beneath our best effort. Whether it was a major project or a menial chore, doing it well meant doing it with integrity, so it wouldn't have to be redone or regretted. That mindset has stayed with me throughout my life and career. Outside of faith, family, and friends, what three things can't you live without? Bow (our black German Shepherd), Mexican food, and traveling. ********** For more inspiring stories, visit our FACES archives! ‘Housewives' star Sonja Morgan breaks her silence after wild night out in Palm Beach

Is Sonja Morgan OK? TMZ posted alarming pictures of the 'Real Housewives of NYC' star being loaded onto an ambulance in Palm Beach, Thursday night. The reality vet, 61, had been dining at Echo restaurant on Sunrise Avenue when things apparently went south. In footage also sent to the gossip site, Morgan, who moved to the area last year, is seen talking to police officers who had responded to the scene. After the pics of her went viral, Morgan released a statement to People. 'An elderly patron at the restaurant I was dining at appeared to be in distress, and I called for medical assistance,' the TV personality told the mag. 'While assisting [her] during the commotion, I sustained some minor injuries and, out of an abundance of caution, accompanied the EMTs to be checked out.' While the native New Yorker claims to be just a Good Samaritan, she also managed to get into a little trouble with the cops. Authorities told TMZ that Morgan was ordered to leave the premises and issued 'a written trespass warning.' Under Florida law, had the Bravolebrity reentered the establishment, she could have been arrested. The incident comes on the heels of an embarrassing encounter earlier this month at a different restaurant — NYC hotspot Tucci. Page Six reports that Morgan reportedly demanded to be comped for a $1,000 meal. 'She was absolutely hysterical and refused to pay,' a source claimed to the outlet. 'It was like she was filming a 'Housewives' episode, shouting, 'I'm a celebrity!'' Morgan owned up and eventually paid, telling Page Six 'there was a clear miscommunication,' adding, 'I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post. … I made that known to staff.' On Instagram, the fan favorite brushed up off the headlines and adjusted her crown. The latest post sees her looking fantastic and fresh from a beauty salon appointment. The caption: 'That feeling when your hair is done and you remember who you are.'

EXCLUSIVE Real Housewives vet Sonja Morgan explains how she ended up in an ambulance in Palm Beach

Real Housewives of New York City personality Sonja Morgan was seen getting in an ambulance in Florida on Thursday. The 61-year-old blonde star from Albany, New York, looked distressed as she laid back on a gurney with straps over her legs and her purse on her lap. She was outside Echo in Palm Beach at around 10pm after police were called as a woman needed help. Morgan has told what happened. 'I was helping a lady who fell,' she shared with 'I am doing great, thanks.' TMZ claimed she was given a 'trespass warning', according to documents TMZ obtained from the Palm Beach Police Dept. She refused to sign the warning, the doc showed, the site said. This comes after she had a problem at a NYC restaurant. She revealed her side of an ugly incident at red-hot New York restaurant Tucci on Saturday night. The reality TV star was accused of refusing to pay her $1,000 tab after dining with several friends. A source told Page Six that she threw around attitude saying she deserved a free meal because she is famous and got 'hysterical' and claimed she was now banned from the dining spot. But the Bravo star painted a different picture about what went down to the Daily Mail. Morgan claimed she was invited to eat at Tucci's for free in exchange for posting about the venue to her 1.2 million Instagram followers. Morgan said she'd done similar 'several times in the past' without encountering a problem from the restaurant. The drama over Morgan's $1,000 check is certainly going to add further buzz to Tucci. The deal was made with the owner of the hot spot, Max Tucci, through phone and text, she explained. She also said the entire staff knew her meal was supposed to be a freebee, so it was a matter of 'miscommunication.' And she never acted 'hysterical,' she said. 'There was a clear miscommunication. I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post, as discussed with Max,' she told Daily Mail on Tuesday. 'I made that known to staff, and when it seemed we weren't aligned, I offered relentlessly to reimburse him but didn't hear back.' Morgan paid the entire bill on Monday and added a generous tip, Daily Mail has told. However, Tucci still seemed peeved about what happened, despite receiving full payment. Max Tucci is one of New York's more prominent restauranteurs. He is the grandson of Oscar Tucci, who bought the New York institution Delmonico's in 1926. The restaurant first opened in 1827. Tucci has been frequented by celebrities since first opening in the NOHO neighborhood in March, 2024. The Bravo star has cleared up what really went down. Turns out Morgan was invited to eat at Tucci's for free in exchange for posting about the venue to her 1.2million Instagram followers. She had done this several times in the past and it worked out fine. The New Yorker on her Instagram page recently Tucci told PageSix it wasn't right for it was not right of Morgan to ask for a free meal as food costs are so high. He added the blonde beauty was 'just taking advantage' of the glamorous watering hole that has become an 'it spot' to dine. 'There was no arrangement for her to have a comped dinner. She just wanted free food and service,' he argued. Morgan last appeared on Real Housewives of New York City during season 13 in 2021. Days later Max sent a statement. 'In light of the overwhelming media inquiries surrounding the recent incident involving Sonja at TUCCI, I feel it's important to set the record straight,' his note began. 'There was no agreement for a complimentary dinner. Any assumption to the contrary reflects a lapse in judgment, consistent with prior unacceptable behavior. At TUCCI, we stand firmly with our staff, and with the hospitality industry at large, where respect and fair compensation for outstanding service are fundamental. 'The restaurant industry operates under significant pressure — from rising food and labor costs to high rents. It is unreasonable and unacceptable for guests to assume otherwise. We remain committed to honoring the hard work of our team and will not tolerate entitlement or disrespect. 'Respect our team and our other guests, and we will always respect you. Sonja is no longer welcome at TUCCI. In making this decision, I've had to break one of my grandfather Oscar Tucci's cardinal rules: 'Welcome everyone to our table.''

EXCLUSIVE Real Housewives vet Sonja Morgan shares HER side of ugly story over $1K restaurant bill that got her 'blacklisted'

Former Real Housewives of New York City personality Sonja Morgan has talked to about an ugly incident that went down at Tucci restaurant in New York City on Saturday. The 61-year-old reality TV star was accused of refusing to pay her $1,000 tab after dining with several friends. A source told Page Six that she threw around attitude saying she deserved a free meal because she is famous and got 'hysterical.' It was added she is now banned from the dining spot. But that Bravo star has cleared up what really went down. Turns out Morgan was invited to eat at Tucci's for free in exchange for posting about the venue to her 1.2million Instagram followers, she has claimed. She had done this several times in the past and it worked out fine so she thought everything was understood. With all this noise of Morgan's $1K bill, however, the Tucci restaurant is getting more press than it has ever seen. The deal was made with the owner of the hot spot, Max Tucci, through phone and text, it was explained. She also shared that the entire staff knew her meal was supposed to be comped for press, so it was a matter of 'miscommunication.' And she never acted 'hysterical.' 'There was a clear miscommunication. I believed I was dining in exchange for a promotional post, as discussed with Max,' she told on Tuesday. 'I made that known to staff, and when it seemed we weren't aligned, I offered relentlessly to reimburse him but didn't hear back.' Morgan ended up paying the entire bill on Monday and added a generous tip, has learned. But Tucci seems as if he is still aggravated by the event even though she paid in full. He is the third generation partner of Delmonico's Restaurant and founder of TUCCI-New York. Another famous face that has dropped by Tucci in recent months is troubled former talk show host Wendy Williams. Tucci, however, told PageSix that it was not right of her to ask for a free meal at a restaurant these days because food costs are so high. He added the blonde beauty was 'just taking advantage' of the glamorous watering hole that has become a beloved place to dine. 'There was no arrangement for her to have a comped dinner. She just wanted free food and service,' he argued to the site. With all this noise of Morgan's $1K bill, however, the Tucci restaurant is getting more press than it has ever seen. Morgan last appeared on Real Housewives of New York City during season 13 in 2021. Despite the unsavory incident, the mother-of-one took to Instagram on Sunday to mark Mother's Day with a trio of selfies. She wrote in a caption to her 1.2 million followers, 'My Mother's Day look. Hoping all my Mothers celebrated themselves and their families yesterday.' And her 24-year-old daughter Quincy Morgan, whom the reality star shared with her late ex-husband John Adams Morgan, gave her a shoutout online. The University of Pennsylvania graduate uploaded four throwback photos and wrote, 'The best mom @sonjatmorgan.'
