Coffee lovers can add Harry Potter magic
Brand collaborations have become a go-to strategy for companies looking to spark excitement, tap into nostalgia, and stand out in crowded grocery aisles. From the Pepsi/Peeps collab to the Van Leeuwen/Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and the Sour Patch Kids and Post cereal, these partnerships - three of the best, according to Advertising Week - leveraged each brand's strength to create something new that fans of both brands loved. Over the years, limited-edition cereals inspired by childhood cartoons, soda flavors based on video games, and snacks tied to movie franchises have emerged. They all have one thing in common: They target loyal fans and generate buzz on social media. People love these kinds of products because they're relatively inexpensive (unlike the Disney/Gucci or Nike/Christian Dior collabs) and tap into a cherished childhood memory. When the fandom is as massive and devoted as Harry Potter's, the potential is enormous, at least that's what Nestlé's newest release is banking on. The first Harry Potter book was published 28 years ago, so fans of the books and the movies that followed are all of prime coffee drinking age. Starting in August, Coffee Mate will roll out two limited-time creamers inspired by the Wizarding World: Cauldron Cake and White Chocolate Peppermint Toad (Zero Sugar). The flavors are the brand's first-ever official tie-in with the Harry Potter franchise and promise to bring a little magic to your morning cup. Related: Trader Joe's sells out of TikTok famous treat (here's when it's back) Nestlé's Coffee Mate (NESAF) brand is no stranger to wild flavor experiments - from basic sweet cream to indulgent Oreo collabs, the flavors make coffee anything but boring. But now, the company is tapping into one of the most powerful fandoms in pop culture with a new limited-time release that's already stirring up major buzz. For longtime fans, Cauldron Cake is a direct nod to a beloved treat sold at Honeydukes, the enchanted candy shop in the Harry Potter books and theme parks. Coffee Mate's take is described as a buttery, vanilla-toffee creamer that turns your cup of coffee into a dessert-like experience - no spellcasting required. With a blend of cool peppermint and creamy white chocolate - and no sugar - it's a bold choice for a summer launch, but one that plays into the fantasy feel. This isn't the first time a big brand has leaned into nostalgic crossovers. In recent months, Goldfish crackers introduced a Butterbeer flavor, and Universal theme parks have continued to expand their Harry Potter-themed food offerings. But Coffee Mate's move stands out because it brings the magic into an everyday routine. Related: Starbucks May Have Finally Found the Perfect Cold Foam It also comes at a time when brands are doubling down on nostalgia to boost grocery sales. If you're a die-hard Harry Potter fan, or are just tired of French vanilla and hazelnut, these magical mix-ins are sure to catch your eye - and they're sure to fly off the shelves faster than a Nimbus 2000. Both flavors will be available at major grocery retailers nationwide for a limited time starting in August 2025. Top 10 Belly and Conrad Scenes in The Summer I Turned Pretty Ranked
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors The Summer I Turned Pretty returns on Thursday, with the final season set to debut on Prime Video and finally wrap up an agonising three-year wait to discover which Fisher brother will win Belly's heart. To celebrate the deserving brother, we've compiled a list of the top ten best moments between Belly and Conrad throughout the seasons, and even ranked them. Lola Tung (Belly) and Christopher Briney (Conrad) in The Summer I Turned Pretty. Lola Tung (Belly) and Christopher Briney (Conrad) in The Summer I Turned Pretty. Erika Doss/Prime Video Sorry, Jeremiah Fisher, fans. This is a Conrad appreciation space, but please feel free to enjoy the list below of all their best moments, and remind yourself why he and Belly should end up together at the end of this season (and why you should switch allegiances.) Top 10 Belly and Conrad Moments in The Summer I Turned Pretty 10. Belly and Conrad's First Meeting to "Lover" Jenny Han let us know where Belly's heart lies from episode one, introducing the chemistry between Belly and Conrad with a swoonworthy moment in front of the Cousins beach house to Taylor Swift's "Lover". The short and sweet interaction saw the two lock eyes, with a playful back and forth, setting the tone for what was to come. 9. This Is 100% Your Look, Connie Baby Of course, the iconic meme was going to make its way into the list. While it's a brilliant line delivery from Lola Tung, it also shows the softer side to Belly and Conrad's relationship, as Belly apologizes for everything that happened between them at Susannah's funeral. 8. Conrad and Belly's Debutante Dance Here we have another Taylor Swift moment as Conrad sees Belly left alone in the middle of the dance floor at the debutante dance. He comes to the rescue (as he always does) and joins Belly for the dance. 7. Conrad Apologizes Season two, episode seven saw Belly and Conrad come face to face in a moment after the party, where Conrad apologizes to Belly for the way he handled their break-up. Conrad confesses that he is scared Belly will regret what happened between them, and Belly assures him that it would never be the case. It's a sad but sweet moment, and it shows the two of them at their best: when they're communicating. 6. Sour Patch Kids From sweet Conrad to petty Conrad. We know this Fisher brother is a softy, but he also has a little spice, and this scene shows it off perfectly. On a rainy drive, Conrad's already being a petty queen from the backseat, but he amps up the heat at the gas station by taking a swing at Jeremiah's choice of sweet treat for Belly. 5. The Infinity Necklace Back to sweet Conrad. In this scene, Belly gets a text from Conrad to meet him outside where he's waiting to give her back the infinity necklace he bought for her. It's a tearjerker of a scene, but Conrad confides in Belly that he doesn't want to lose her... but is it too late? 4. "You Have a Crush on Me?" In a rare moment where Belly and Conrad are together and happy, they're wandering through the woods, giddy and excited to be in one another's company. However, the moment is momentarily quietened by Belly admitting that Jeremiah and she had kissed after he told her he had feelings for her. However, Belly and Conrad navigate the moment with grace, excited to be together in this new chapter. 3. First Kiss Season one, episode seven gave us the first Belly and Conrad kiss. We waited a whole season for it, but it was worth the wait. 2. The Fireplace Once again soundtracked by Taylor Swift, we see Belly and Conrad spend an intimate night together in Cousins. After dancing in the snow on the beach, they return to the house to warm up, and we see them tell one another how they feel and take a huge step in their relationship. 1. "I Thought You Knew" Okay, perhaps the fireplace scene really should be up here at number one, but the most memorable and well-quoted scene takes the top spot. After throwing a party at the house, Conrad finds Belly drunk on the beach, and they get into an argument. It's one of the most raw and real scenes between the two, where a million unspoken feelings tumble out, ending with Taylor Swift's "Snow On The Beach". The Summer I Turned Pretty season three debuts on Prime Video with episodes one and two on July 16, 2025.

Your Favorite Snacks May Soon Carry An Alarming Warning Label In Texas. Here's What You Need To Know
If you're a lover of Doritos, Sour Patch Kids, and dozens of other popular snack foods, your favorite treats might soon carry a shocking warning label in Texas. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made targeting additives a key part of his "Make America Healthy Again" initiative to improve America's food supply, setting off a wave of legislation and government action. The controversial red dye no. 3 was banned in January 2025, and the Food & Drug Administration has started working with food companies on the voluntary removal of other synthetic ingredients and dyes. But some states are taking things even farther, and in Texas, allies of Kennedy are looking to add a warning label to many products that would say they are not recommended for human consumption. The warning label would be an extraordinary step, not just because of how strong it is but because it is based on regulations from other countries, not the U.S. According to USA Today, the warning label would read "WARNING: This product contains an ingredient that is not recommended for human consumption by the appropriate authority in Australia, Canada, the European Union, or the United Kingdom." The label would apply to 44 ingredients that have been banned or have warning labels in other countries. If passed, the regulation will affect popular brands like M&Ms, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, and many chips, packaged baked goods, breakfast cereals, and even less snacky foods like frozen dinners and hot dogs. Read more: The Most Iconic Snack In Every State The disparity between American food regulations and other countries, especially in Europe, has long been a sore spot for activists fighting for cleaner food. This is because the U.S. takes a much different, more hands-off approach to regulating food additives and ingredients. In the EU new ingredients are assumed to be unhealthy and must be proven to be safe before they are added to food. In the U.S., it's the opposite, and new ingredients are assumed to be safe unless proven dangerous through more rigorous scientific testing. This has created a long list of ingredients that are banned in foreign countries that are allowed in the U.S. and is the reason why some American products like Gatorade are banned in certain European countries. Representatives from the food industry have argued against the pending legislation, arguing that the ingredients lists are considered safe by the FDA and that the regulation will increase costs for consumers. The actual level of danger of many of these ingredients is still a source of contentious debate, but some on the list, like potassium bromate, have been linked with side effects like tumor growth. It's still unclear whether the law will pass or if Texas Governor Greg Abbott will veto the bill, but with a state as big as Texas considering a bill like this, America could be taking the first steps towards more stringent European-style regulation of food. Sour Patch Kids and DJ Alison Wonderland collab on a free candy rave this week
Just in time for one of New York's biggest music weekends, Sour Patch Kids is crashing the party with a fluorescent sugar high. On Thursday, the iconic sour-then-sweet candy brand is taking over 99 Scott Avenue in Brooklyn for a one-night-only blacklight bash—and they've tapped none other than EDM superstar Alison Wonderland to headline. The rave-ready pop-up celebrates the launch of Sour Patch Kids Glow Ups, a new limited-edition strawberry-watermelon gummy laced with edible confetti that literally glows under blacklight. It's candy engineered for the dance floor—and the 'gram. The warehouse party-meets-neon dreamscape will let guests sample the new candy, sip glowing cocktails (we assume) and dance under UV light to an electric set from the Australian DJ, whose high-energy mixes and cult following make her a perfect match for the brand's chaotic-good aesthetic. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sour Patch Kids (@sourpatchkids) The sugar rush won't stop at the dance floor. The space will be filled with interactive experiences like a Blacklight Beauty Bar, a Snapchat AR Mirror and photo ops that'll keep your followers guessing which filter you used (spoiler: it's real). There will even be surprise giveaways, like festival tickets, merch and maybe even enough candy to fuel your next night out. Entry is free with RSVP, but don't sleep on it—space is limited and it's first come, first served. Doors open at 9 pm and you must be 18 years old or older to attend.

The men were arrested and searched by police. Officers seized about six kilograms of weed and other cannabis products, 72 packs of contraband cigarettes, 1.1 grams of fentanyl, 1.4 grams of hydromorphone, 125 grams of psilocybin, 364 grams of hashish, and about $2,000 in cash. Many of the weed products seized by police were packaged in bags or wrappers that mimicked the designs and logos of popular snacks such as Oreos, Sour Patch Kids and Chips Ahoy, with names changed to Stoneos, Stoned Patch, and Trips Ahoy. On Wednesday, police announced Stephen McLellan, a 44-year-old Maple Ridge resident, had pleaded guilty to possession for the purpose of selling cannabis, while Jayson Hoang, a 34-year-old Abbotsford man was found guilty of possession for the purpose of selling cannabis. sip@ Read More Vancouver Canucks Vancouver Canucks News Vancouver Canucks News
