What is Texas A&M football's overall raking in EA Sports College Football 26?

With mixed reviews from college football fans across the country, EA Sports College Football 26 officially dropped the top 25 overall teams in the video game that drops on July 10. Among those top-rated teams in this year's edition was the Texas A&M Aggies, who are the No. 8 program in the game with a team ranking of 88 overall. The school ranks as the fourth-best overall team in the Southeastern Conference, with Alabama ranked No. 1, Texas at No. 2, and Georgia at No. 6 in the official ratings before the 2025-2026 campaign begins. While Aggie fans are tired of seeing the team ranked high each preseason, resulting in disappointing results, the 2025 preseason just feels different. While EA Sports provided overalls for each program in the top 25, the company released the best offensive and defensive units in this year's edition. Texas A&M ranks at No. 12 in both categories with a 90 overall defense and an 89 overall offense. Here is the full list of team overalls in the 2026 edition: Team Overalls Much to the chagrin of Aggie fans, the rankings also faced much backlash from fans in the replies of the official drop, specifically regarding the game's top 10 teams. The Crimson Tide ranked as the best overall team is extremely generous considering the program did not reach the College Football Playoff last year and head coach Kalen DeBoer is in just his second season at the helm, with many questions about who will step up at the quarterback position. As you can imagine, those same feelings toward Alabama were made against the Aggies being at No. 8 on this list, after finishing the season with a loss in the Las Vegas Bowl to the USC Trojans. The ratings in the game will be adjusted accordingly to how the season progresses, however. With potentially one of the best running back rooms in the country featuring a healthy Le'Veon Moss, Rueben Owens and Amari Daniels, sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed and wideouts like NC State transfer KC Concepcion, the Aggies' offense could lead this team to become one of the best in the SEC this season. The 89 overall ranking is justifiable, but the concerns on defense leave me with questions on how EA Sports formulated the rankings. Regardless, the EA Sports College Football 26 video game will release in 13 days on Xbox and PlayStation. The standard edition is $69.99, with the deluxe and MVP editions costing $99.99 and $149.99, respectively. EA Sports College Football 26 names Kyle Field among most intimidating places to play

With excitement at an all-time peak for the release of the new EA Sports College Football 26 video game, the company continues to release teasers and more gameplay updates with 16 days remaining until it officially drops on Xbox and PlayStation. Upon the release of multiple in-game facets like dynasty mode, EA Sports also dropped the official list of toughest places to play. Kyle Field, home of the Texas A&M Aggies, was ranked as the No. 11 most difficult place to play in the CFB 26 video game. The stadium and the environment in Bryan-College Station, Texas, are challenging to topple. Texas A&M is one of eight programs from the Southeastern Conference represented in the top 15 places to play in the video game this year. In the 2025 edition, Kyle Field was ranked as the No. 1 toughest place to play. Here are the top 25 most difficult environments in EA Sports College Football 26: This year's edition features stunning graphic updates, including dynamic lighting that changes throughout the game you play. If your game kicks off in the late afternoon when the sun is still up, the bright lights of the stadium will shine down as day turns to night. The video game will also allow players to create a high school football player, earn collegiate offers and then decide which school to choose come signing day. These features are just scratching the surface, however. EA Sports is releasing a series of updates about the game, detailing what players can expect when they first load CFB 26 onto their controllers. The EA Sports College Football 26 video game is set to release on Monday, July 7, for those who pre-ordered the game. Ryan Williams Reveals Conversation With Jeremiah Smith During College Football 26 Cover Shoot originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Alabama's Ryan Williams and Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith were two true freshmen playmakers who stole the show last season. Advertisement Both wide receivers appeared on the Freshman All-American teams and Smith broke out in a big way thanks to the Buckeyes winning a national championship. With the pending July 10 release of EA Sports College Football 26, Smith and Williams are expected to be a significant part of the game's marketing, given their status as premier players from two of college football's biggest programs. Williams, while being interviewed by On3's Andy Staples, revealed the topics of conversation shared with Smith during the game's cover shoot. "Whenever we were in Pasadena, of course, we talked about last season and him winning a national championship. I was super happy for him," Williams said. Advertisement Smith finished the 2024 season with 76 receptions for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also ran for one touchdown and rushed for 47 yards. In addition to being the Rose Bowl MVP, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound receiver was Big Ten Receiver and Freshman of the Year as well as a first-team All-American. Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Ryan Williams (2).Will McLelland-Imagn Images "But you know, we both agreed that although last year was super fun, super great and we both had good freshman seasons," Williams continued. "We left a lot on the table. Just with that experience from last season, we're still super excited for what's to come this season." Williams ended last year with 48 receptions for 865 yards and eight touchdowns. He also added 48 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Advertisement Expectations for both Ohio State and Alabama are high, as it should be for two of the biggest schools in the country. In ESPN's latest way-too-early rankings, the Buckeyes are Crimson are listed at No. 5 and No. 9, respectively. Both programs have yet to name a starter at quarterback after each school lost last season's starter to the NFL draft. Alabama and Ohio State both begin next season on Aug. 30, with the Buckeyes hosting the Texas Longhorns and the Crimson Tide traveling to Tallahassee to play the Florida State Seminoles. Where's Gus? FSU football OC Gus Malzahn not featured in EA College Football 26

EA Sports College Football 26 is approaching. In a new feature, over 300 coaches will be part of the game, including Florida State football's head coach Mike Norvell and defensive coordinator Tony White. However, Gus Malzahn is not among those coaches. Advertisement The former UCF head coach, now offensive coordinator, has chosen not to participate in CFB '26, the football program confirmed to the Tallahassee Democrat on May 29. Both Malzahn and White are entering their first seasons as coordinators on Norvell's coaching staff following a 2-10 season. Malzahn left his head coaching gig to join Norvell's coaching staff after lasting four seasons at UCF. White joined FSU's staff in December after his two seasons with Nebraska. Ohio State and Alabama stars grace cover of EA Sports College Football 26

Ohio State and Alabama stars grace cover of EA Sports College Football 26 When EA Sports College Football 25 returned and put active college football players on the cover, fans were pumped — especially after the game's decade-long pause. Colorado's Travis Hunter, Texas' Quinn Ewers and Michigan's Donovan Edwards had the honor of gracing the first cover in the game's return to market. Now, it's Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith and Alabama's Ryan Williams turn, as the EA Sports dropped the cover for College Football 26 on Tuesday. The game will be available July 10. EA SPORTS COLLEGE FOOTBALL: College Football 25: 10 essential minigames you need to learn how to play As USA TODAY Sports noted, Smith and Williams' cover is the standard edition of the game, but added: The "deluxe edition features them and several stars, mascots and coaches from the past and present, including former cover stars in Reggie Bush and Tim Tebow, as well as Kirby Smart, Ryan Day and the Oregon Duck." The College Football 25 cover stars saw varying levels of success last season. Two-way player Hunter won the Heisman Trophy before eventually becoming the No. 2 overall NFL Draft pick. Ewers helped lead Texas back to the College Football Playoff, but the Longhorns lost to Smith's Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl semifinal (and Ewers' draft stock tanked). Edwards had a solid run with Michigan before getting injured at the end of last season and ultimately signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent.
