Sweden-Based Syrian Journalist Dr. Kamal Al-Labwani: There Is No Such Thing as Lebanon, It Belong to Syria Historically; If Latakia and Tartus Are Taken from Syria, It Will Raid Tripoli and Sidon and

Sweden-based Syrian journalist Dr. Kamal Al-Labwani said in an interview that was posted to the Lebanese YouTube channel Spot Shot on July 7, 2025 that if the superpowers take Latakia and Tartus from Syria, then Syria will have no choice but to invade Lebanon and annex Tripoli and Sidon by force, because it needs an outlet to the Mediterranean Sea. He accused the Lebanese army, under the command of current Lebanese President Aoun, of preparing barrel bombs for the Assad regime, and claimed that Lebanon had sent Hizbullah to occupy and destroy Syria. Al-Labwani said Lebanon is not a 'real country' but a 'historical lie' created by General Gouraud after World War I, and he declared that he wants to return the Lebanese people to their motherland of Syria. He also warned that any attempt to change Syria's borders will lead to the 'annihilation of Lebanon.' Dr. Kamal al-Labwani is a Syrian opposition figure and former political prisoner, known for his advocacy of democratic reform and cross-border dialogue.

Lebanese Sunni Islamic Scholar Sheikh Hassan Al-Moraib: If Iran Had Launched Missiles at Israel Directly on October 7 Like It Is Doing Now in Defense of Its Nuclear Program, Gaza and Lebanon Would Not

Lebanese Sunni Islamic scholar Sheikh Hassan Al-Moraib said in a June 20, 2025 interview on Spot Shot (YouTube) that Iran did not defend its proxies. He explained that if Iran had launched missiles directly at Israel on October 7, Gaza and Lebanon likely would not have been destroyed. However, Al-Moraib said, Iran allowed Hizbullah, its 'long arm,' to be killed, its most important arm was chopped off, and it did not act. He added that Iran didn't even avenge Nasrallah. In contrast, Al-Moraib said, Iran is now defending itself and its nuclear program by launching missiles at Israel. Therefore, it should not pretend to be doing Lebanon any favors or sell illusions about defending Jerusalem and Palestine. He continued by saying that Sunnis are Iran's greatest enemies, and Sunni lives, women, and children are fair game to Iran. Moraib added that he reason for this is the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE, because Iran sees Sunnis as the killers of Hussein, Prophet Muhammad's grandson.

Lebanese Activist Eli Khoury calls for 'De-Resistance-ation' in Lebanon, Like Post WWII Denazification in Germany: Hizbullah's Ideology Needs to Be Removed from People's Minds

In a May 27, 2025 interview on Spot Shot on YouTube, Lebanese activist and social media expert Eli Khoury compared the situation of Hizbullah to that of the Nazi Party in Germany. He said that after Nazism was shown to be deadly and harmful to society, it became necessary to engage in 'denazification' - the removal of the ideology from people's minds. He suggested that a similar process should be undertaken with Hizbullah. Khoury argued that Hizbullah's ideology is not native to Lebanon, but rather imported from a country he does not consider important. He proposed calling the process 'de-resistance-ation.'

Hizbullah-Affiliated Academic Sadek Al-Naboulsi: Disarming Hizbullah Would Lead to Civil War – Anyone Calling fHizbullah-Affiliated Academic Sadek Al-Naboulsi: Disarming Hizbullah Would Lead to Civil

Hizbullah-affiliated Lebanese academic Sadek Al-Naboulsi categorically rejected Hizbullah's disarmament in a May 29, 2025 interview on Spot Shot (YouTube). He said that disarming Hizbullah would lead to civil war in Lebanon, and asked whether those calling for this are prepared to sacrifice the blood of their children and people for the sake of Israel and America. Al-Naboulsi said that anyone supporting such calls is 'burning' Lebanon and leading it toward a 'holocaust,' insisting that such change would come through bloodshed. He also questioned why there is talk only of disarming Hizbullah and not Israel, which he called an 'illegal, deadly, and barbaric country.' He asked: 'Why do you want to disarm the most noble resistance movement in the region, but you do not say a single word about the need to disarm Israel?'

Lebanese MP Camille Chamoun: I Want Peace with Everybody - War Is Futile, Israel Will Not Be Annihilated; Hizbullah's Weapons Threaten Both Lebanese and Israelis Alike; I'm Not Sad Nasrallah Is Dead,

Lebanese MP Camille Chamoun said on Spot Shot on YouTube on May 16, 2025, that as long as Hizbullah maintains its weapons, Israel considers itself under threat and the war continues. 'We Lebanese feel threatened by Hizbullah's weapons, so what do you expect from the Jews?' he said. Chamoun said that Christians in Lebanon carry weapons because they have been threatened and persecuted ever since Jesus Christ visited this holy land. He said that Lebanese Christians are used to bearing arms and defending themselves, and that otherwise they would have been annihilated like the Christians of Iraq and the majority of Christians in Syria. In response to a question about whether he wants peace with Israel, Chamoun replied: 'I want peace with everybody. I want to put an end to war.' He explained that since the age of 18, all he has known in Lebanon is war — wars he described as 'futile' and leading nowhere. He dismissed talk of removing or annihilating Israel as nothing more than empty slogans. On the assassination of Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Chamoun said he felt no sadness, describing Nasrallah as 'more Iranian than Lebanese.'
