J.Balvin's Fave Amiri Brand Confirms Expanding Women's Category

(Photo by) Since 2019, when Renzo Rosso's OTB Group bought a minority stake in the LA-based menswear brand Amiri for an undisclosed sum, the brand has been on an upward growth trajectory. It's partly due to Rosso's experience, former Burberry SVP Adrian Ward-Rees joining the brand in 2023, and the designer Mike Amiri's penchant for turning classic 1970s California design tropes into red-hot merch in the 2020s. Now, as the brand heads into its 11th year, among the news at the Spring 2026 Paris show is the expansion of women's clothing. For this outing, Amiri turned the Carreau du Temple, a former 19th-century glass and ironworks market turned event space, into a French-style garden complete with a functioning fountain to recall a hotel or resort, as Amiri said backstage. As inspiration was drawn from a friend and LA-based artist Wes Lang, who created a body of work at the infamous Chateau Marmont, that famous lodging, or even the Ritz Paris, seemed an apt inspiration for the set. It's taking ideas of traditional casual wear and mixing them into men's tailoring,' he said backstage post show, in between posing for photos with his famous guestlist such as J. One particular shirt style, in terracotta satin and a cream and black version, was reminiscent of the much-berated ruffle 'prom' shirt of the 1970s and 80s, but was made using feathers according to the designer and was totally chic. (Photo by Victor VIRGILE/Gamma-Rapho via Getty Images) The women's looks centered on slinky gown styles, often crocheted or in satin and lace, or mimicked the 'le smoking' tailored attitude of the men's style. It's the second time that traditionally feminine styles shown on cisgender women have graced Amiri's runway after adapting previous men's styles to women's silhouettes in the brand's seasonal commercial offerings. 'Our womenswear is expanding every season and is currently the fastest growing category in the company. Incrementally, we're getting there,' the designer confirmed. The collection also introduced a new women's bag, the 'Honey' style in crocodile-embossed suede or supple leather in a relaxed, slouchy shape. While growth in the women's category is on the rise, one clothing category won't be a focus for Amiri come Spring 2026, despite being the news on most runways in Paris, is men's shorts, formal or otherwise. 'I do shows with shorts, but I made a conscious decision this season not to do shorts or to put them in the show, but they could have easily fit in here, the whole style works with that. It's talking about formalities in a way, and I think PJs are mostly long,' he offered. Indeed, and in Amiri's hand, these chic, comfortable alternatives to tailored styles will be at home in Los Angeles, a Parisian garden, and anywhere in between.

Paris Fashion Week: Pharrell Williams Brings India's Spirit To Louis Vuitton SS26 Show

Last Updated: The Louis Vuitton SS26 show was a celebration of India - a set designed as a Snakes and Ladders board, music by AR Rahman, and a palette that evoked the sensory richness of India. One of fashion's biggest events, Paris Fashion Week, kicked off in Paris on June 24. The week started with the Louis Vuitton Men's Spring-Summer 2026 Show, a celebration of all things Indian. Rich in history, vibrant in culture, and home to a fast-expanding upper-middle class, the country is proving irresistible to top-tier brands. The Louis Vuitton show was yet another example. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Louis Vuitton (@louisvuitton) At the recent Louis Vuitton Men's Spring 2026 show in Paris, Pharrell Williams brought India's cultural spirit to Place Georges Pompidou. The set, designed by architect Bijoy Jain of Studio Mumbai, transformed the space into a life-sized Snakes and Ladders board. It was whimsical and immersive. The entire collection unfolded like a thoughtfully curated tribute to India's rich legacy in craft, colour, and symbolism. As A-listers like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Bradley Cooper, and Jackson Wang filled the front row, it became clear: this was more than just a runway show. Apart from Hollywood and K-pop stars, Ishaan Khatter, Nora Fatehi, and Padmanabh Singh were invited to the show. 'What painting is to Paris, embroidery and fabric is to India," Pharrell observed, awed by the unmatched detail and artistry he encountered. But rather than replicate traditional silhouettes or motifs, the collection focused on mood and material. From earthy turmeric yellows and cinnamon browns to deep, meditative blues, the palette evoked the sensory richness of India, woven into relaxed yet refined garments. The soundtrack was rooted in Indian musical genius, with compositions by A.R. Rahman setting the tone. View this post on Instagram A post shared by ARR (@arrahman) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Louis Vuitton (@louisvuitton) top videos View all There was a shift in tone from Pharrell's previous streetwear-inflected work. This collection leaned into softness and sophistication without losing its sense of fun. A standout mini capsule riffed off The Darjeeling Limited, reviving an archival Vuitton print. The showcase was softer, more layered, and far removed from the streetwear-forward energy of past collaborations. The show was truly a celebration of Indian culture on the global stage. Umit Benan Spring 2026 Menswear Collection

Umit Benan returned to Via Bigli with more than just a new address: Spring 2026 marks a pivotal moment for the brand, with the opening of its flagship store and the full-scale debut of womenswear. 'It's destiny,' Benan said with a smile. 'I had my first home here in 2005. In 2010 I presented a project with Nino Cerruti in this very same building.' Now supported by D Capital and having welcomed his newborn son just days before the launch, the designer has come full circle, personally and professionally. Regarding the new womenswear, 'we want it to travel on its own,' Benan said. 'It's not about the wife of our man, but a woman with her own character.' Benan found inspiration in a surfer living in Biarritz—an athlete and muse behind the new women's pieces. 'I documented her life for months,' he said, Her easygoing lifestyle shaped the silhouettes: silk robes, fluid pants, terry cloth sets, bathing suits, and nylon raincoats. The result read like a cinematic take on island living: 'Think Point Break,' Benan added. Menswear evolved in parallel, with added focus on fits inspired by the women's line and Japanese denim. 'I wanted our jeans to feel more like Kevin Costner in Yellowstone than runway,' said Benan. Still, proportions retained a precise tension: cropped jackets, elastic-free piqué knits in treated silk, and anthracite gray as the grounding hue tying together both men's and women's offerings. Resortwear also expanded with 'Paradiso,' a new capsule of year-round pieces in faded tones: banana yellow, powder pink, baby blue. 'Paradiso is where I lived in Lugano. It's also my favorite word in Italian,' Benan said, revealing the tattoo etched on his arm. The newly opened store, just a few steps from the showroom, mirrors this intersection of memory and design. Conceived with architect Martin Brûlé, the space draws from Benan's childhood visits to his mother's multi-brand shop in Istanbul and his father's fabric-scouting trips. 'It had to feel lived-in,' the designer said. 'We even serve cocktails and caviar.' Mahogany wood, sand-toned carpets, and artworks curated by gallerist Thaddaeus Ropac (a friend and client) infuse the space with the same layered identity as the clothes. 'What you see here is everything I absorbed between the ages of eight and 13,' Benan said. 'It's my first real memory of fashion.'

B2K Announces 2026 Reunion Tour

After teasing a reunion for the past few years with rare appearances that always go viral, B2K has confirmed exclusively with VIBE that they're back and going on tour. Boog, Omarion, Fizz, and Raz will be hitting the road in Spring 2026— seven years after the group came together for 2019's The Millennium Tour. The group has shared details about their upcoming endeavor with Black Promoters Collective, joked about fans being 'pretty aggressive' about them popping out, and how they knew they couldn't tease their long-awaited reunion any longer. '[The tour] was presented to us, but it was definitely something that we wanted to do that we had talked about and it just came together the right way,' Boog explained. 'It's for the fans, you know what I mean? Of course, we have a ball performing for everybody. The best time is when we on stage together. But yeah, this is for the fans.' Most recently, the band surprised fans at the 2025 Millennium Tour with a nostalgic performance of 'Uh Huh,' 'Bump Bump Bump,' 'Girlfriend,' and 'Why I Love You.' What fans can expect with this upcoming tour, compared to the Millennium Tour, is more B2K deep cuts. O hinted, 'I would say we're going to go deeper into our bag and really bring back that energy that people saw when they first was introduced to [us.] I do also want to add to what Boog was saying. We realize and we recognize that where we are in our career and all of the people that has ever supported us, what time we in. We're in a special time in music, and it's so cool. We honor that, our fans, and the people that started on our journey with us. So it is that time again.' Raz chimed in, noting, 'This tour would encapsulate the essence of B2K. We are really challenging ourselves.' He later joked about the 'Ice Box' crooner doing a backflip, for nostalgia's sake, but O laughed it off while commenting about his age. With them still piecing together tour essentials like the perfect setlist, Raz admitted that they want fans' input on 'how we create this amazing tour.' While mentioning fan favorites that weren't singles, B2K opened up about what a record like 'Boys 4 Life' off their sophomore album, Pandemonium!, means to them today. 'The song tells it all,' Fizz expressed. 'You know what I mean? And we're here today, so it speaks a lot of truth and it holds a lot of substance. So maybe it's time for part two.' Boog added, 'We all understand that life is a journey. And us being four boys that started out at 14 years old in this industry, that can be crazy. It's just a testament to say, no matter what we've been through, we're still here. We may not see things the same way all the time, and we may have our spats, but we ain't going to never not have each other's back. That's one bond that can't be broken. No matter what we go through, we're still going to come back together and be bros if we've got to fight the world. I think that's what Boys For Life really embodies. At the end of the day, we're going to always be here for each other.' Anticipation for B2K's tour grew even further after the group performed at the 2025 BET Awards as part of the 106 & Park tribute. The quartet described their performance as a 'full circle moment,' with O quipping, 'I mean, if somebody would've told me 15 years ago 'Y'all going to be performing [in a 106 & Park anniversary tribute],' I'd have been like, 'Man, what are you talking about?' So it's definitely a moment for me.' For more information about future tour announcements, tickets, and exclusive content, check out the tour's official website.
