Special app to be developed for professional Srivari Sevaks

Tirumala: TTD additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary announced that a special application will be developed within a month exclusively for professional Srivari Sevaks. He conducted a review meeting on Monday at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala, along with JEO Veerabrahmam, focusing on professional volunteer services in Srivari Seva. Speaking on the occasion, he said that under the instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, a framework is being developed to utilise the services of professional experts across the globe in 10 key departments of TTD through Srivari Seva. He further said that the services of technical experts will also be utilised in various technical departments. Based on the requirements of each department, necessary actions will be taken to engage them through Srivari Seva. He emphasized the need to make use of global professional expertise to improve the functioning of TTD in the coming days and also instructed that local approvals should be obtained to ensure the implementation process runs smoothly without issues. Adding further, he said that the initiative will be launched initially on a pilot basis and later implemented on a full scale. Addl EO stated that a clear procedural framework will soon be established to convert this initiative into a sustainable system. SVIMS director Dr R V Kumar, BIRRD director Dr Jagadeesh, chief engineer Satyanarayana, IT GM Sesha Reddy, deputy EOs Rajendra, Somannarayana, CMO Dr Narmada, DEO Venkata Sunil, director Gosala Srinivasulu, HDPP secretary Sriram Raghunath and other officials attended the meeting.

Tirumala: As a part of its ongoing efforts to improve the services being provided to the multitude of visiting pilgrims, the TTD has introduced feedback mechanism quite some time ago to collect valuable opinions from the pilgrims. Feedback is being gathered through various methods including IVRS, WhatsApp, e-Surveys and manual surveys conducted by Srivari Sevaks. IVRS Feedback Survey: Through this electronic method, devotees can express their opinions on 16 aspects of their Tirumala pilgrimage experience, Annaprasadam, Kalyanakatta, Srivari Darshan, accommodation, queue line management, luggage counters, free bus facility and many more. WhatsApp Feedback System: QR codes have been placed at various locations in Tirumala and Tirupati. Devotees can scan these codes with their mobile phones to open the TTD feedback page on WhatsApp (number: 9399399399). Here, devotees can enter their name and select the relevant department (such as Annaprasadam, Health (sanitation), Kalyanakatta, laddu prasadam, luggage, darshan experience, queue lines, rooms, etc. to provide their feedback. Manual and mobile app feedback through Srivari Sevaks: At Tirumala, Srivari Sevaks directly collect the feedback from pilgrims regarding facilities using a mobile application designed by TTD IT wing that contains a structured questionnaire. Some time they do manual feedback collection also. Soon, the TTD will launch an application on its mobile app and booking portal to collect suggestions and feedback from devotees. By collecting direct experiences through these surveys, the TTD aims to respect devotees' opinions and further enhance its service standards. Devotees are requested to actively share their feedback and contribute towards the improvement of the services being offered by TTD.

Tirumala: In a record of its sorts in the last one decade, TTD has provided comfortable and hassle free darshan for 95,080 devotees on Sunday. The hill temple has been witnessing the swarm of pilgrims especially since mid of May. With day and night efforts of various TTD departments, darshan was provided to record number of devotees even on Thursdays and Fridays in the second half of May. As per the instructions of TTD higher authorities and under continuous monitoring of the heads of various departments, distribution of Annaprasdam, water, milk have been carried out with the help of Srivari Sevaks and security wing. When compared to May 2024, this year more than 55,000 devotees had darshan additionally, taking the total figure to 23,79,252 as against 23,23,493 during last year. The total number of devotees, who have darshan crossed 95,000 mark on Sunday, May 31. Similarly, Annaprasadam servings have set a new record with highest servings ever, taking the figure to 1.33 crore in May 2025 as against 71 lakhs in 2024. While the numbers of tonsures stood and number of laddus being sold this May also topped against the figures of May last.

Tirumala: Tirumala has experienced a significant surge in pilgrim numbers over the past week. In response, the TTD has implemented extensive arrangements for Annaprasadam and drinking water for devotees waiting in Vaikuntham compartments, NG sheds, and external queue lines. Srivari Seva volunteers have been instrumental in providing these services. Throughout May, Annaprasadam wing has served over 51 lakh devotees across all its centers, compartments, and outside lines. This includes 20 lakh servings each of snacks and beverages in external queue lines and NG Sheds. Particularly since May 17, daily distributions have averaged over 90,000 servings of snacks and beverages and 2.5 lakh servings of Annaprasadam in NG sheds and outside lines. On May 24 alone, 93,950 devotees received Annaprasadam in MTVAC, 2.72 lakh servings were provided in outside lines and Vaikuntham, and 1.17 lakh beverages were distributed. The Health Wing is ensuring a continuous supply of water and maintaining cleanliness across the premises. All 2,150 sanitary workers, supervisors, health maistries, and inspectors are diligently carrying out their duties. Approximately 3,000 Srivari Sevaks are working around the clock, offering services in various areas including Annaprasadam, Health, Vaikuntham, Laddu and coconut stalls, and within the temple. Notably, around 800 Sevaks are exclusively dedicated to providing Annaprasadam, milk, and water to devotees in Vaikuntham, NG Sheds, and external lines. The Vigilance and Security wing, in collaboration with the TTD Temple Wing, has efficiently managed queue lines, facilitating darshan for a record number of devotees. In the last three days, around 2.4 lakh devotees had darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, with 90,211 pilgrims on Saturday alone.

TTD to expand Srivari Seva globally

Tirumala: In response to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's directive, TTD Executive Officer J Syamala Rao has developed an action plan to expand Srivari Seva internationally. On Saturday, a virtual meeting was held at TTD administration building in Tirupati, connecting the EO with Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) from 14 countries. The EO highlighted that Srivari Sevaks from across India, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, already provide invaluable services to devotees. Soon, NRIs with expertise in various fields will be invited to offer similar selfless service to pilgrims visiting Tirumala and Tirupati. Beyond their duties in various TTD departments in Tirumala and Tirupati, Srivari Sevaks actively participate in TTD's spiritual initiatives, including Srinivasa Kalyanam and Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, organized nationwide. To enhance the quality of Srivari Seva, several reforms have been introduced recently, with more underway. TTD is also considering incorporating professional seva in areas such as medicine, IT, engineering, planning, water management, food technology, architecture, and town planning.
