33 Ironheart Easter Eggs And Details

Do you love all things TV and movies? Subscribe to the Screen Time newsletter to get your weekly dose of what to watch next and what everyone is flailing over from someone who watches everything! First, in Ironheart Episode 1, Riri (Dominique Thorne) talks about her aspirations, and she says she's going to be bigger than Jobs, Gates, Pym, and Stark. Of course, referencing not only Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, but also Hank Pym from the Ant-Man films and Tony Stark. Natalie (Lyric Ross) mentions wanting "a night with Thor and his hammer," too. As Riri details her work at MIT, you can see she's studying Griot, who is the artificial intelligence created by Shuri, and is mentioned in both Black Panther movies. Riri also mentions her "internship abroad," which of course references her time in Wakanda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. When Riri takes the suit from MIT, Trevor comes online, who is MIT's AI assistant. His design is likely a playful nod to Micorsoft Office's paperclip assistant, Clippy. Riri mentions that her student ID is "30216RW." In the Marvel comics, Riri/Ironheart's first appearance was in Invincible Iron Man Vol. 3 Issue #7, which was released on March 2, 2016, aka 3-02-16. Stu (Eric André), aka Rampage, is a character from the Marvel comics. Notably, he was an ally of the Punisher and was an engineer working on an exo-skeleton suit. Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos), aka Hood, is also a character straight from the Marvel comics. He was introduced in The Hood Issue #1 in 2002, and he's a well-known supervillain operating in NYC. He's been known to be affiliated with Kingpin and the Thunderbolts, too. While talking about Riri's late stepfather, Xavier (Matthew Elam) mentions working on "that trash Barracuda," which is a nod to Riri's 1972 Plymouth Barracuda that we see her with in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Okoye notably drives it. While working on her suit, you'll notice Riri has a "Stan's Donuts" mug. Stan's Donuts is a popular donut shop in Chicago. I love that using it also connects to Stan Lee. When N.A.T.A.L.I.E. first awakens, she asks Riri who else it would be, which is likely a playful nod to the fact that in the comics, Riri is first helped by a holographic/AI version of Iron Man/Tony Stark instead. Eventually, in the comics, N.A.T.A.L.I.E. does become Riri's central AI, but at first, it's Tony Stark. In Episode 2, when Riri spots Xavier in her kitchen, she makes a joke about going home and calls him Roger. This is a nod to a running joke from Sister, Sister. While introducing the squad, Slug (Shea Couleé) mentions that they are one of Madripoor's most wanted. Of course, Madripoor was first introduced in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) is living and operating out of. Madripoor is often seen in comics featuring the X-Men and Captain America. The Blood siblings, aka Jeri (Zoe Terakes) and Roz (Shakira Barrera), are also characters from the Marvel comics. However, in the comics, they are known as the Blood Brothers, and they first appeared in Iron Man Issue #55. They often fought against Iron Man and worked with Thanos. In the comics, they are cosmic beings instead of average human criminals. Parker, aka Hood, being able to go invisible by holding his breath, is something directly from the comics. It's something he utilizes alongside John (Manny Montana), who is also a comic book character, to commit petty robberies. In the comics, Hood can also fire curved bullets out of his gun, which is something we also see him do when Riri encounters the security guard at the end of the heist in Episode 2. Clown (Sonia Denis) mentions to Riri that some think Parker wrestled the hood off a demon, which is what happens in the comics. In the Marvel comics, Parker steals a hood and boots from a demon. Of course, we learn in Episode 6, he got the Hood from Mephisto. When Riri is talking to N.A.T.A.L.I.E. outside at the end of Episode 2, you can see posters of a man labeled "Faust" behind her, with one poster even showing him with devil horns. Faust is notably a classic character who makes a deal with the Devil at a crossroads. In the comics, Parker gets his hood from making a deal with a demon. And, I've been saying this since WandaVision, but this also connects to Mephisto in Marvel. Also, Mephisto was based on the Faust legend when Stan Lee and John Buscema created the character. Literally been rambling about Mephisto in the MCU since 2021, LMAO. Also, while talking to N.A.T.A.L.I.E., Riri mentions "androids, aliens, and wizards," which is what Sam Wilson calls "the big three" in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In Episode 3, while visiting Joe's house, Riri finds the ashes of Obadiah Stane, who was played by Jeff Bridges in Iron Man. It's then revealed that "Joe" is actually Ezekiel Stane (Alden Ehrenreich). In the Marvel comics, Zeke Stane is a villain who often goes up against Iron Man, just like his father. In the comics, Zeke lives most of his life off the grid — like Zeke in the show — until he's ready to get revenge on Tony Stark. Zeke mentions his dad was an "iron monger," which is what Obadiah called himself and Tony in Iron Man. In the comics, Iron Monger is the supervillain alias that Obadiah Stane uses, with his Iron Monger suit first appearing in Iron Man Issue #200 in 1985. In Episode 4, when N.A.T.A.L.I.E. suggests that they call Shuri for help, Riri mentions causing a war between land and sea, which is a nod to the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Namely, the arrival of Namor. Zelma Stanton (Regan Aliyah) is a character directly from the Marvel comics, too. In the comics, Zelma becomes Doctor Strange's personal librarian and apprentice. She made her first appearance in Doctor Strange (2015) Issue #1. Also, Doctor Strange recruits Zelma to teach the next generation of magic users at his new school, Strange Academy. In Episode 4, Zelma even mentions that Kamar-Taj is her "reach school," and she wants to study there. Riri's mom stumbles upon a jar of Zelma's "brain maggots," which is likely a nod to the "mind maggots" from the comics. In Doctor Strange (2015) Issue #1, which introduced Zelma, she comes across Doctor Strange after mind maggots fed on her psychic energy. Zelma mentions wishing her parents had stayed studying at Kamar-Taj, so she wouldn't have to learn from witches on TikTok. In Agatha All Along, Jen is a witch who uses social media when Agatha and Billy find her. Also, the "baby witches" would be setting up Strange Academy being introduced in the MCU. Zeke getting his bio-upgrades is something directly from the comics, too. In the comic books, Zeke essentially upgrades himself into a human cyborg, giving himself superhuman abilities. In Episode 5, while meeting with Riri, Zelma not only mentions Dormammu, who has been a prominent figure in the Doctor Strange movies, but also Kaecilius, who was in Doctor Strange and played by Mads Mikkelsen. When Riri crashes outside of White Castle in her iron suit, you can see that the letters on the sign she lands on spell out, "Ouch!" Parker's suit with the hood outfit that is first seen in Episode 5 closely matches the Hood's look in the Marvel comic books. And Riri's upgraded suit, which uses parts from her stepdad's 1972 Plymouth Barracuda, also mirrors Ironheart's suit in the Marvel comics. When Riri scans Zeke's body and realizes he's been hacked, you'll notice she realizes he has "biological mesh: implantations," and other upgrades. These mirror what Zeke does to himself in the comics, too. Of course, the BIGGEST reveal in Ironheart is Mephisto (Sacha Baron Cohen), a character that has seemingly been hinted at since WandaVision back in 2021. In the comics, Billy and Tommy, Wanda's twins, were created using parts of Mephisto's soul, and Mephisto is Marvel's version of the devil. He's linked to several characters in the comics, like Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Doctor Doom, Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider, and more. When Mephisto stirs his coffee, you can see his true devil form reflected in the spoon, instead of his human form. When Mephisto introduces himself to Riri, he's shocked she doesn't have a bigger reaction, which is likely a playful nod to audiences who have been waiting for the reveal since WandaVision. When Riri reunites with Natalie, she has her hair out of braids for the first time in the series, which matches her comic book character's design. And finally, Riri making a deal with Mephisto is definitely going to become super important down the road, but him reversing death and bringing back Natalie just has me thinking that Rio/Death (Aubrey Plaza) is not going to be happy about this, as she said multiple times death can't be cheated. Portillo's to make a crucial final decision this summer

Hot dogs are a beloved American staple, and different states have even put their own twist on the classic. Although a controversial opinion among Americans, no one does hot dogs better than Chicago. The Chicago-style dog consists of an all-beef frankfurter wrapped in a poppy seed bun, garnished with green pickle relish, chopped onions, sliced tomato, and peppers, topped with yellow mustard, and finished off with a classic dill pickle. 💵💰 💵💰 Thousands of restaurants nationwide serve hot dogs, but none compare to the Chicago-based Portillo's. For over 60 years, it has served its beloved Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and homemade chocolate it is a smaller chain compared to rival fast-casual chains, it has grown at an astonishing rate. No one would've expected a humble hot dog stand built in 1963 from a small trailer to become a popular restaurant chain with 94 locations across nine states. Portillo's () is best known for its Chicago-style dogs. However, due to popular demand and growing competition, it recently made an unexpected change in its classic menu. The restaurant chain launched its first-ever breakfast menu in April, featuring signature morning staples that Chicago locals love, including various breakfast sandwiches, chocolate cake donuts in collaboration with Stan's Donuts, multiple sides, and handcrafted coffee beverages. Portillo's is testing its new breakfast menu at five restaurants in the Chicago area from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The morning offerings can be ordered at Niles, Chicago -South Loop, Shorewood, Elmhurst, and Tinley Park locations, as stated on its hype around this new revelation left many customers wondering if the chain plans to offer its breakfast menu nationwide anytime soon. Their question would be answered only a few weeks later, but the chain's response might not be what many expected. Portillo's CEO, Michael Osanloo, said during the company's latest earnings call that the feedback from its breakfast pilot has been positive, but this does not mean it will become available at all locations nationwide. Osanloo said the company will continue to monitor the progress of the breakfast test throughout the summer and gather all the metrics necessary to ensure success before it decides whether to expand it to other locations. "There's plenty of restaurant companies out there that have tried to expand to breakfast, and it hasn't worked. So we have a number of internal metrics that will define success, and I think we want to make it as clean and clear as possible for us," said Osanloo. He added that breakfast could be a significant asset for the company, since it would extend the hours that locations are open for business, subsequently increasing sales. However, there's one major concern with this addition. If not handled properly, breakfast could hurt the bounceback in lunch preparations, affecting overall operations in the company's main business. More Food News:Osanloo noted that a successful test doesn't mean Portillo's will launch the breakfast menu nationwide; it would just give it the go-ahead to expand it in Chicago. The restaurant chain would then have to test it outside Chicago before bringing it to all locations. Popular chain offers breakfast for the first time

By Published: Updated: A beloved Chicago chain has finally delivered on something fans have been craving for years: breakfast. Five of its restaurants across Illinois quietly debuted a full morning menu this week, offering classic items with a local twist — including collaborations with two iconic Windy City brands, Stan's Donuts and Metropolis Coffee. Served daily from 6.30 to 10.30am all summer long, the breakfast rollout includes items like polish sausage, egg & cheese sandwiches, loaded scrambles, and even a chocolate cake donut. The move marks a major shift for Portillo's, the fast-casual favorite known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and signature chocolate cake. It's the first breakfast menu in the company's 62-year history. 'Chicago has been asking for Portillo's breakfast for years, and we're thrilled to deliver our unique take on morning classics,' Garrett Kern, vice president of strategy and culinary, told Portillo's has under 100 locations, but experts say it consistently delivers better value compared to much larger rivals like McDonald's and Chipotle. If the breakfast test performs well, Portillo's plans to expand it to more locations—and potentially make it permanent. The pilot breakfast menu is available now at Portillo's locations in Chicago, Elmhurst, Tinley Park, Shorewood, and Niles. Customers can grab a $7.99 meal deal that includes a breakfast sandwich, small coffee, and hash brown bites. Portillo's will continue to keep an eye on customer responses for the entire summer. Portillo's is not the only restaurant chain to be rolling out new tests at select locations. McDonald's made headlines after testing its McVeggie burgers select locations in Canada this year. The test ended in April and there are no plans for the plant-based item to be tested in the US. Chipotle completed a test run of its honey chicken, which was available at select locations in California and Tennessee last year. Unlike McDonald's, Chipotle's honey chicken was a smashing success and it has since become a limited time offering nationwide. Dutch Bros. is currently testing food items with the hopes of helping attract more visitors during breakfast hours. Want more stories like this from the Daily Mail?
