OpenAudo is Poised to Upset the WHAS Market Like Never Before

Everyone agrees, from tech pundits to my mum, the release of the OpenAudio Plus-GC and Ultra-GC would be the best thing ever… With the launch of OpenAudio Plus-GC and Ultra-GC, we're setting a new standard in the multi-room streaming amplifier and whole home audio system market. These cutting-edge models fully support Google Cast, delivering seamless multi-zone streaming like never before. This isn't just an upgrade—it's a game changer that proves OpenAudio's commitment to innovation and excellence in home audio technology. Get ready to experience unmatched audio flexibility and control, as OpenAudio shakes up the WHAS market like never before. Market Share of iOS and Android According to Statcounter Global Stats, Android leads globally with about 70 to 72% market share, while iOS holds the remaining 28 to 30%. Seeing this clear trend, we realized the huge potential in expanding into the Android market. This insight has driven us to focus on developing products and features that cater specifically to Android users, ensuring we reach the largest audience possible and deliver the best experience across platforms. The chart's 15-year trajectory further reinforces this strategic focus: Android's dominance isn't a fleeting phase but a sustained pattern forged by its ecosystem flexibility, which has allowed it to capture diverse markets from budget to premium segments. Meanwhile, iOS's consistent hold on a dedicated slice reflects a stable user base with distinct preferences, reminding us that while prioritizing Android aligns with scale, maintaining cross-platform excellence remains key to holistic market penetration. Apple or Android Nation? Operating System Popularity Across Countries Let focus on US. In the US, iPhone has a 57.68% market share, while Android has a 42.06% market share. iPhone has led the US smartphone market since at least 2009. The closest Android came to beating iPhone was in 2011 when it captured a sizable amount of former Blackberry users Although iOS (represented by the blue bar for iPhones) holds a relatively larger proportion in the US market, Android (the green bar) still accounts for 42.06% of the market. This significant share underscores Android's crucial role — it not only maintains strong competitiveness, continuously providing diverse choices for users, but also drives industry innovation. Even in a market long - dominated by iPhones, Android, leveraging its own advantages, has become an indispensable force, deeply shaping the smartphone ecosystem landscape in the US. iPhone vs Android Market Share In The US In 2009, Android had a negligible share, but it steadily expanded over the years. By 2015, Android's market share had climbed to nearly half of iOS's, narrowing the gap significantly. From 2015 to 2020, Android maintained a consistent share, hovering around 40 - 50%, proving its ability to retain a substantial user base. Even as iOS saw periodic upticks, Android didn't lose ground drastically. This trend highlights Android's strength in catering to diverse user needs through various device manufacturers and price points. Its open - source nature and adaptability have allowed it to carve out a crucial space in the US market, competing fiercely with the iOS ecosystem. All other brands are unfriendly to Android On reddit, some reader ask JUKE if they can have one version support Google Cast, they said no. Two-plus years on, it's obvious they were just blowing smoke. Trying to pass off janky Bluetooth as a replacement for Google Cast? That's not a workaround—it's treating customers like chumps. But when customer ask OpenAudio for this, the answer is yes, of course OpenAudio can build one to satisfy you. Because OpenAudio want to satisfy all Android user, and want to be friendly to Android world. Same on Reddit, our customer has pre-order. Even something supports Google Cast, it only support 1x google cast, not 8x google cast from HOLOWHAS Ultra-GC and HOLOWHAS Plus-GC. Maybe they will release Max-GC also, that will beat other brand from both power and Android friend degree. World only Multi-room Streaming Amplifier with 8x GoogleCastThe built-in Google Cast module has passed all our lab tests with flying colors, and we're gearing up for the first production we didn't expect? The overwhelming demand. Turns out, a huge portion of users are on Android, but most multi-room gear out there only supports Airplay. Once word got out that HOLOWHAS Plus-GC is the first to offer native Google Cast across eight zones, pre-orders took off fast. Everyone agrees, from tech pundits to my mum, the release of the OpenAudio Plus-GC would be the best thing ever. Estimated shipping in about 4 months (just waiting on standard certifications like FCC or other Procedural matters)Orders will ship in strict payment order – first come, first servedQuantities are limited – early reservations are highly recommended Learn more: Unlike many other devices that don't support Google Cast or just support 1x Google Cast, our system offers true 8x Google Cast functionality (also 8x Airplay, 8x Spotify, etc). When you use 8x Google Cast, it is look like following, About OpenAudio OpenAudio is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of audio technology. 83% of Users Prefer AI Search Over Traditional Google Searches

AI-powered search tools like ChatGPT are disrupting the search landscape, with 83% of users now preferring AI search over traditional search engines for faster, more relevant answers. Are traditional search engines losing their edge? A new trend suggests they are. As more users turn to conversational AI for faster, more relevant answers, traditional search engines are feeling the pressure. A recent survey conducted by Innovating with AI reveals that 83% of respondents find AI search tools more efficient than traditional search engines. The survey of frequent AI search users highlights a dramatic shift in how consumers are finding information online. The survey findings come at a time when traditional search is experiencing notable disruption. According to data from Statcounter cited in the report, Google's global market share fell below 90% for the first time since 2015 in October 2024, with the growing popularity of AI-driven search tools like ChatGPT, Grok, and Perplexity AI likely contributing to this decline. Users Favour Relevance and Efficiency The convenience and speed of AI search tools are driving a major shift in search behaviour. A growing majority of users now prefer AI-driven search experiences for their efficiency and ease of use. According to the report; 91% of frequent AI search users utilise popular large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT for their internet searches. 83% of users find AI search tools more efficient than traditional search. Users cite the ability to receive cohesive responses without clicking through multiple links as a primary advantage. 'AI snippets answer my questions more efficiently and equally accurately at least 75% of the time, and they're only going to improve,' said Rob Howard, CEO of Innovating with AI. 'This is a good thing for consumers, because there were tons of ethical problems with SEO content, which was often predicated on commissions from products featured on popular pages.' The research indicates that AI search tools are gaining momentum by providing answers in plain language, summarising complex information, and eliminating the need to navigate through pages of SEO-driven content. Traditional search engines are now responding by incorporating AI-generated summaries into their own results, with Google's AI overviews reaching 1.5 billion monthly active users. Challenges Remain, But AI Complements Search The study also identifies challenges facing AI search adoption. The major among them is AI hallucinations, where LLMs generate wrong or misleading information. Research cited in the report shows that even advanced models can produce false information up to 33% of the time, leading some users to continue relying on traditional search for fact-critical queries. Still, experts suggest that AI search represents an evolution rather than a replacement of traditional search methods. The technology excels at answering exploratory questions and summarising unfamiliar topics, while traditional search maintains advantages for browsing current news and accessing sources. Chris Andrew, CEO and Co-Founder of Scrunch AI, 'Google is challenging its own business model as they figure out new ways to monetise AI overviews. It might not happen overnight, but we will see a world where the traditional kind of search results will get pushed further down or become completely irrelevant.' As AI search continues to improve in accuracy and usability, it's clear that it will become a permanent fixture of the search ecosystem. The future is not AI versus traditional search, but a hybrid model delivering a smarter, more seamless experience. Millions More Windows Users Get Microsoft's Free Upgrade Offer

Windows 11 finally catches up. With little more than 100 days until the end of Windows 10, Microsoft has just hit a huge milestone that's been years in the making. This changes the PC landscape and follows years of warnings and nags. At times it seemed we'd never get here. Windows 10's vast user base has proven remarkably stubborn and difficult to move. This is not helped by the hardware hurdles in upgrading a PC to Windows 11, which means at least 240 million users — likely more — need to buy a new device. Last week, I reported that Windows 11 was finally closing the gap, with a surge in upgrades. Today, for the first time Windows 11's global share matches that of Windows 10. That means it will overtake it within days, finally dominating the market. Windows 10 Vs Windows 11 (End May 2025) Last year the trickle of upgrades moved back and forth, creating some heartburn in the cyber community, as the prospect of a security nightmare with hundreds of millions of Windows users running unsupported PCs started to seem very real. Even as recently as April this year, Windows 11 saw a surprising reversal, as it seemed to win back some market share at its newer sibling's expense. All this data comes courtesy of Statcounter and won't be exact, but will be directional. It's all we have. Windows 11 Vs Windows 10 (Current June data) This Windows 11 overtake has already happened in the U.S. and some other key markets, but most markets have dragged. But it's now increasingly likely eligible PCs will be pushed to Windows 11 anyway, and others will be nagged until PCs are changed. At the end of last May, Statcounter reported that Windows 11 (43.22%) still lagged Windows 10 (53.19%) by around 10% — that's around 150 million users. Now just three weeks later, both versions of Windows are dead level on 47.65%. We've seen u-turns before, but this does finally look like the surge needed to isolate those PCs that can't upgrade and outline the size of the problem that will hit on October 14. Whether you need an upgrade or a new PC, don't let your device fall off support.

Millions of Windows users suddenly move NurPhoto via Getty Images What a difference two weeks makes. June started badly for Microsoft, with news that its all-important Windows 11 upgrades had flatlined. But a fortnight later that surprising upgrade reversal has reversed again — and then some. Windows 11 has all but caught Windows 10 for the first time. If the data is right, that's a huge turnaround in 16 days. The data comes courtesy of Statcounter, and while it's never going to be completely accurate — only Microsoft has the actual data, it is indicative. That means it's the trends that matter. With little more than 100 days until Windows 10 falls off support and with more than 700 million users still on Windows 10, this could not be more critical. Windows 10 Vs Windows 11 (Worldwide) Statcounter At a headline level, as at June 17, Windows 10's worldwide market share has dropped below 50% (48.9%) for the first time. More notably, Windows 11 is knocking 50% (47.7%) itself for the first time. This after Windows 11 dipped and Windows 10 recovered in May, widening the gap between new and old in the wrong direction. If anywhere near accurate, this means almost 60 million Windows 10 users have upgraded. Clearly, May could have been a statistical anomaly and this is the data catching up, but either way it's good news for Microsoft and the security community. Windows 10 Vs Windows 11 (United States) Statcounter In the U.S., where Windows 11 overtook Windows 10 earlier this year, the gap is as wide as it's been — 55.2% for Windows 11 versus 42.0% for Windows 10. In Europe, there were slight gains for Windows 11. But the highlight is Asia, where a huge 10% swing sees Windows 10 drop from 59% to 49%, and Windows 11 top 46%. Unfortunately, this means there are still around 700 million Windows 10 users yet to upgrade. What we don't know is where the hard floor will be found. These are the 240-million-plus Windows 10 users whose PC's don't meet the upgrade criteria. Microsoft and PC OEMs are pushing those users to buy new hardware, and the Windows-maker is also launching a migration tool to make the switch as easy as possible. Windows 10 Vs Windows 11 (Asia) Statcounter Two weeks from now, when the data for the full month of June is available, we will see if this was a mid month blip or the mass acceleration of upgrades has continued. No one wants to see hundreds of millions of PCs fall off support at a time when exploited Windows zero-days have become a regular monthly event. For those with compatible PCs running a licensed version of Windows 10, the upgrade to Windows 11 remains free. Your PC will already be nagging you to upgrade, just follow the instructions. For those without, your options remain a paid support extension from October 14 or a new PC. Don't leave it too late and leave your PC exposed.

The data, updated daily by individual country and region, is free to access at Statcounter Global Stats. "With the massive growth in AI chatbot usage, it is crucially important for website owners and marketers to know which chatbots are sending the most referrals to websites," commented Aodhan Cullen, CEO, Statcounter. "We are already moving into a new era from SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)." The new data finds that ChatGPT is by far the global leader in terms of referral market share at 79.8%, followed by Perplexity (11.8%); Microsoft Copilot (5.2%); Google Gemini (2%); DeepSeek; (0.8%) and Claude (0.5%). Worldwide share: US Share: UK Share: Commenting on the fact that Google's chatbot is ranked fourth globally for referrals, Aodhan Cullen added: "Google now finds itself in the same dilemma as traditional on-premise software providers at the birth of cloud computing. Its cash cow, Search, is at risk from new AI technology, which ironically, it helped to create." He added that reports that Apple may add AI search to Safari emphasises Google's challenge. The Statcounter data finds that ChatGPT dominates referral market share in all G20 countries except China. DeepSeek leads with 89.3% in China. Map: Commenting on the launch of the latest addition to Statcounter Global Stats, Aodhan Cullen said: "AI is the big investment play by the tech industry. This new free service means that analysts, digital marketers and media can get an insight into how the AI landscape is evolving." Statcounter Global Stats data is based on over 3.8 billion page views per month to over 1.5 million websites. Further information: Note: Grok cannot be included in the data, as unlike the other chatbots, it does not provide referral data in its header. Statcounter's core business is to provide website owners and marketers with an easy to use web analytics, session replay and heatmap service for their websites. Photo: View original content:
