The fraudulent video falsely portrays the monarch promoting an investment scheme promising high returns. The RPO issued a warning through Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's official Facebook page, urging the public to remain cautious. 'The public is advised to be vigilant and not be easily influenced by these fake accounts, which are often used by scammers for fraudulent purposes on Facebook and other social media platforms,' the statement read. Authorities emphasized that impersonation and identity misuse are serious legal offenses. 'Strict action will be taken against those involved in accordance with the provisions of the law,' the RPO added. The rise of AI-generated deepfake content has raised concerns globally, with scammers exploiting the technology to deceive unsuspecting victims. According to the RPO, the video was spread through the social media site Facebook, displaying the voice of His Majesty supposedly regarding an investment offer that promises profits to the public. 'As such, the public is advised to be vigilant and not be easily influenced by these fake accounts, which are often used by scammers for fraudulent purposes on Facebook and other social media platforms,' ​​it said. Traffic diversions on major routes in Klang Valley for 58th Asean Foreign Ministers' Meeting

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic on three highways and 15 main roads in the Klang Valley will be diverted in stages from 8 to 11 July in conjunction with the 58th Asean Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM) and Related Meetings at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Federal Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Seri Yusri Hassan Basri said the affected routes comprised roads into and out of the federal capital, as well as routes to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and hotels where delegates will be staying. He said a dry run for the motorcade, covering routes from the airport to the respective hotels in Kuala Lumpur and the KLCC, would be conducted from today until Sunday involving 391 traffic personnel. "Road users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and are encouraged to use public transport in support of the event. "Commercial and heavy vehicles are advised not to enter the city centre during the road diversion period, particularly during peak hours, to prevent congestion and reduce the risk of breakdowns and accidents," he said in a statement here today.
