Lookfantastic's Summer Heroes Edit beauty box is worth £150 but costs just £45
Lookfantastic's Summer Heroes Edit beauty box is worth £150 but costs just £45 The Lookfantastic Summer Heroes edit is available to shop now and is filled with everything you need to see you through the summer months Lookfantastic's summer beauty bag has £150 of products (Image: Look Fantastic ) Beauty boxes and bags are a brilliant way to sample an array of products without completely blowing your budget. A perfect solution for all you serial over-packers, these little treasures let you try out new products without forcing you to commit to the full-sized products. Lookfantastic Summer Heroes Edit is a stand-out option right now. Priced at £45, it promises over £150 worth of goodies (boasting four full-sized items and two that are travel-ready). Inside, you'll find a mix of hair care, sun-conscious skin solutions and cosmetics aimed to keep your skin looking fresh and dewy all summer long. Past customers have lavished the box with glowing five-star reviews. One commented: "Such a lovely beauty box, great value for money." Another chimed in: "Best value edit ever. A variety of spectacular products." The saving of more than £100 fits nicely into the guilt-free splurge category, especially when the holiday shopping list looks a bit on the pricey side. The only potential downside for some is that only four of the products are full-sized. However, the minis are perfect for squeezing into your hand luggage – especially when you're dealing with those pesky travel restrictions, reports the Express. One of the most popular items in the box is the ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Serum, a full-size 30ml product. Typically applied during the morning and night when your face is feeling a bit parched, this is perfect when revitalising your skin. The brand claims it's crafted from a mix of plant-based oils, along with Vitamin F, Echium Oil, and Vitamin E. A full-size product usually retails at £55. Next in line is the Eucerin Sun Face Pigment Control SPF 50, an essential for the summer season. This one promises no white residue, even under make-up, and is also said to help address pigmentation over time. Another premium and fairly universal product in the box is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, a face spritz designed to set makeup and impart a glow. The product comes in a 30ml bottle, making it compliant with hand luggage restrictions, so it can easily be incorporated into your in-flight skincare routine. It's priced at £18 when bought separately. For money-saving tips, sign up to our Money newsletter here For hair care, the Color Wow Pop and Lock High Gloss Finish is a full-sized product (at 55ml) and is valued at £22. The brand suggests adding a few drops to the ends of your hair for added shine. The final full-size product in the box is the Iconic London Instant Sunshine Bronzing Drops (13ml). Priced at £22 when bought individually, these drops are said to bestow skin with a post-holiday glow. This rich, delightfully fragranced cream always evokes memories of beach holidays while also leaving your skin feel silky smooth.

LookFantastic's £45 summer beauty box saves shoppers £105
LookFantastic's Summer Heroes Edit has returned and includes a selection of top beauty brands, including Sol de Janeiro, Caudalie and Color Wow LookFantastic has just launched its highly sought after summer beauty box after great success in previous years. Containing some glorious beautifying goodies, this year the box is packed with six products whose total worth adds up to over £150 – featuring big names like Sol de Janeiro, Caudalie, and Color Wow. The best bit? One of the products inside is valued higher than what customers pay for the entire collection, which is jammy for those who need to top up their (relatively expensive) skincare collection. As the name suggests, the LookFantastic Summer Heroes Edit is packed with summer must-haves and is priced at £45. With four full-sized items and two deluxe samples inside, the ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Serum (30ml) alone is valued at £55 - £10 more than the box itself. The serum, which delivers a radiant glow, hydrates and revitalises the skin with potent natural ingredients and has garnered numerous five-star ratings and glistening reviews. Packed with key components such as sunflower concentrate, which works to enhance the skin's appearance, texture, and elasticity, as well as balloon vine and black currant seed oil, the serum can help calm and restore dry skin and reinforce skin's hydration barrier with just a few drops each day, reports OK!. Another byproduct of the serum is the 'healthy shine' it gives skin. The same shopper added: "Not only does my skin feel soft and moisturised afterwards but the smell is divine." However, a word of caution was offered by another, who said: "It's important to note that it contains active ingredients so it should be gradually introduced into a skincare routine. I made this mistake and damaged my skin barrier." Aside from the face serum, the Summer Heroes Edit also includes the fan-favourite Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream, a body moisturiser celebrated for its skin-firming properties - and delicious, holiday-esque scent. However, a shopper pointed out their slight letdown with the size by commenting: "The Sol de Janeiro was smaller than I expected." Sun safety, something of great importance in summer time, is catered for too. The box contains products designed to protect skin from harmful rays whilst preventing the signs of skin ageing - something exposure to the sun often accelerates. Eucerin's Sun Face Pigment Control SPF 50 50m l is a non-oily, anti dark spot fluid that's lightweight and comes with a high sun protection factor. Infused with thiamidol, a patented component targeting the root cause of hyperpigmentation, it helps lessen dark spots over time and deters their re-emergence with regular use. With summer in our midst, Lookfantastic's box isn't the only beauty haul helping shoppers get their best summer essentials. The Boots Minis Bag Get Holiday Ready is perfect for stashing in any holiday luggage. This seven-piece collection features six miniature items and one full-size product covering both skincare and makeup essentials. And it's a steal at £32, boasting an actual worth of £124.50. For admirers of Sol de Janeiro, there's an exclusive Sol Tote + Body Essentials available at SpaceNK for only £45. I found a way to get £55 'facial in a bottle' serum for £7.50 in LookFantastic's summer edit
I found a way to get £55 'facial in a bottle' serum for £7.50 in LookFantastic's summer edit The Summer Heroes Edit is priced at £45 yet valued at over £150, boasting savings of more than £100 Inside the LookFantastic Summer Heores edit for £45 It feels as though there's a new beauty box released every single week, with high street favourites often battling it out to offer the best value for money and most exciting, relevant and sought-after products. And this week, I've taken a peek inside LookFantastic's Summer Heroes Edit, which delivers a rather covetable haul of makeup and skincare for under £50. The edit is priced at £45 yet valued at over £150, boasting savings of more than £100. It not only balances indulgence and practicality, but also a great mix of higher end and more affordable brands too, ranging from Color Wow and Caudalie, to Iconic and Sol de Janeiro. Four of the six items are full-sized, meaning they'll see you right the way through the summer months and beyond, and as part of the set, each one works out at £7.50 apiece. It's pretty impressive, seeing as the featured ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Serum is worth £55 alone. READ MORE: Skin essential which makes you look 'lit from within' slashed by £20 at Boots READ MORE: Hand luggage bag that's the 'perfect fit for Ryanair' now has a massive 45% off LookFantastic's edits are often popular with shoppers - and for good reason - but there are some other beauty hauls that offer even better value when it comes to the average cost-per-item. ASOS recently launched their Luxury Travel Essentials Beauty Box for £40. It's worth £135 and contains eight products from top brands, including Elemis, Laneige, Sol de Janeiro and Elizabeth Arden, each averaging at £5 a pop. Then there's Boots' Get Holiday Ready Bag, valued at £124.50. The seven-piece edit is priced at £32, which means each item averages out at £4.57- making it slightly better value than ASOS, not to mention it's the cheapest of all three. Brands featured include Sol de Janeiro and Laneige, but also Milk, Bobbi Brown, MAC and more. But the LookFantastic set has been flooded with compliments from shoppers who ordered it. In fact, almost every review has been five stars, save for a single four-star rating. One shopper said: 'This box was worth it for the Espa and Color Wow products alone. Such a lovely little affordable luxury, any one of these items would be considered a 'treat' to myself usually." The ESPA and Color Wow products are what impressed me and many other shoppers the most Another added: 'Brought this box as I wanted to try the Espa serum, which is amazing. Have tried all the other products, which are equally as good. I love trying new products. Will buy a second one.' One said that the Sol de Janeiro cream was 'smaller than I expected', but still rated the edit five stars, adding: 'I love all the products especially the bronzing drops.' While a fourth penned: 'Amazing value box, I had to buy two. It's worth it for the Espa serum alone!' A personal favourite of mine was the inclusion of the Color Wow Pop & Lock High Gloss Finish, worth £22.50. Among its fans is Claudia Winkleman's stylist, Amy Short, who revealed she uses it on The Traitors' star to achieve her covetable shine. I've used the mini version for months and love how it effortlessly tames flyaways while adding shine without making my hair greasy, so the box made for a great opportunity to stock up on the full size. The products inside the box are worth a combined £150 The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is another must-have in my summer beauty arsenal. It's a fantastic multi-functional product that can be used as a toner, setting spray or midday refresh. Its spa-like botanical scent and skin-calming properties make it a staple that I find myself reaching for repeatedly throughout the day. The box's hero product, the ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Serum is ideal for anyone battling dry skin, made worse by the humid weather. It delivers hydration and radiance in a formula that feels like a facial in a bottle. It's no wonder multiple shoppers snapped up a second box for this product alone. Inside the LookFantastic Summer Heores edit for £45 No summer edit would be complete without a nod to the beach-body classic, Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. It is only a small tub, but it's the perfect size for traveling and the scent is insanely addictive. There's also Eucerin's Sun Face Pigment Control SPF 50 - a lightweight SPF that provides sun protection while sitting beautifully under makeup. The only product in the edit I wasn't sold by were Iconic London's Instant Sunshine Bronzing Drops. The button used to dispense the product had broken which made it tricky to use the product, and when I did manage to get some out, I found it way too dark for my skin tone. That's not to say that others wouldn't love it, though. A recap of what's in the Edit: Article continues below ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Serum 30ml (Full-Size) - Worth £55 Eucerin Sun Face Pigment Control SPF 50 50ml (Full-Size) - Worth £24 Iconic London Instant Sunshine Bronzing Drops 13ml(Full-Size) - Worth £22 Color Wow Pop & Lock High Gloss Finish 55ml (Full-Size)- Worth Over £22 Caudalie Beauty Elixir 30ml (Deluxe-Size) - Worth £18 Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream 25ml (Deluxe-Size) - Worth £10 While there are beauty boxes available at the moment that are more affordable or offer better value for money than the Summer Heroes Edit, what I will say about it as a beauty writer who has reviewed dozens of edits is that this one does feel like it's been really thoughtfully created with products that effortlessly slot into everyday routines and feel relevant to the time of year. The majority of items are full-sized, and those that aren't are perfect for travelling with, plus it's a really great opportunity to indulge in high-end, high-performance products at a fraction of the cost.

There have been a few negative comments about the travel kit, with one person saying: "The bag could do with being a little deeper, however the products are really good value for money. It's a good little gift for someone or even nice to treat yourself." Yet, someone else said: "A good mix of products. My favourite was the Rodial dragons blood followed by the rest of the products and the bag itself. Definitely recommend 10/10"
