Shelton gave London a lukewarm review, rating it a 7/10 while adding: "It would be like a nine or a 10 if it wasn't for the driving." Shelton has moved into the top 10 but is yet to win a Grand Slam. He will need all of his talent and athleticism when he faces Sinner. The American will likely take confidence from Sinner's struggles in his last 16 clash with Grigor Dimitrov, which saw the Italian lose the first two sets before the Bulgarian had to retire as a result of injury.
