Prayagraj: Deputy director general recruiting (states), Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Lucknow, Brigadier Swarn Singh inspected the online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) centres in Prayagraj on Monday. Defence PRO, Wing Commander Debartho Dhar, said as part of the Indian Army's ongoing commitment to fair and technology-driven recruitment, the senior officer visited TCS iON Digital Zone, Sallahapur, and iTech Zone, Jhunsi, to assess the conduct and administration of the online CEE being held for the Agniveer Recruitment Rally 2025. The online CEE is being conducted pan-India from June 30 to July 10, under the aegis of the Recruiting Directorate, Indian Army. Introduced two years ago as a major reform initiative, the digital examination process represents a paradigm shift in the Army's approach to recruitment, aimed at ensuring transparency, fairness and ease of access for candidates from all backgrounds. Singh undertook a comprehensive review of the operational setup at both examination centres. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras Pravartak launched a machine learning operations course. The online 110-hour certification MLOps course, jointly offered with TCS iON, will prepare professionals for careers in AI, ML and aims to address the demand for talent in the evolving domain of machine learning operations. The MLOps Scalable ML Operations - Associate is expected to bridge the skill gap and graduates can aim for career opportunities in data science gen AI and LLM besides AI and ML. It is funded by the Department of Science and Technology under its national mission on interdisciplinary cyber-physical systems and hosted by IIT-Madras. Hyderabad: Tech services giant TCS has joined hands with the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) to kick off a TCS iON Placement Success Programme (PSP) in Telangana with an eye on empowering rural youth through targeted collaboration between TCS and JNTU, Manthani aims to equip final-year students and fresh graduates with the skills needed for entry-level IT part of the pilot for the programme, 100 students will be enrolled to undergo a 20-week immersive training programme designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry. TCS, JNTU Manthani collaborate for upskilling programme

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Manthani have decided to collaborate for launching an upskilling programme to equip final-year students and fresh graduates with skills required for entry-level IT positions. In the pilot phase, 100 students are to be enrolled. They will undergo a 20-week immersive training programme designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry. The focus will be on building core technical competencies as well as essential soft skills. Additionally, the programme offers placement support through TCS iON's recruitment platform, connecting eligible graduates with job opportunities, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu's office said after he inaugurated the TCS iON Placement Success Programme (PSP). JNTU Hyderabad Vice-Chancellor T. Kishan Kumar Reddy and Business Head-Skill Education of TCS iON Smriti Mulye signed an MoU in the presence of the Minister, it said. Less than half of the graduates are prepared for the demands of the job market, Mr. Sridhar Babu said, citing the drop in employability among Indian youth from 44.3% in 2023 to 42.6% in 2024. This in turn impacts students, educational institutions, industries and the government. 'In Manthani, we are taking action to change this. With the TCS iON PSP in collaboration with JNTU Manthani, we are not just educating our youth, we are making them job-ready,' he said in a release on Thursday.
