Kurnool: Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing, TG Bharath, announced that pensions under the NTR Bharosa scheme are being distributed promptly on the 1st of every month across the State. Speaking at a distribution event held on Tuesday at Swami Reddy Nagar near KC Canal in Kurnool town, the Minister personally handed over pensions to several beneficiaries, including KY Varalakshmi (Rs 4,000), K Lakshmi Devi (Rs 4,000), C Nagalakshmi (Rs 6,000), Sheikh Shavali (Rs 6,000), Mehboob Basha (Rs.6,000), and Latif, a transgender beneficiary (Rs 4,000). In total, pensions were distributed to around 35 people, with ₹4,000 being given as old-age pension and Rs 6,000 as disability pension. During the visit, Bharath stated that despite the State's financial challenges, the government is committed to delivering pensions on time. He noted that if the 1st of the month falls on a holiday, pensions are issued a day in advance. He further highlighted the State's welfare initiatives, such as providing nutritious meals for just Rs 5 through Anna Canteens and implementing the 'Talliki Vandhanam' scheme, under which mothers receive financial support based on the number of children pursuing education. He affirmed that this benefit is extended to every eligible child in the household, unlike previous governments that limited it to only one student per ahead, he revealed that from August 15, the government will be introducing free bus travel for women across the State. He interacted with families who received support under the 'Talliki Vandhanam' scheme, including one household with five children and another with three, sharing their positive experiences. The event was attended by Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Babu, 16th Ward Corporator Vijayakumari, 8th Ward Corporator Parameshwar, and other local leaders.

Kurnool: Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing, TG Bharath announced that steps are being taken to distribute house site pattas to the eligible beneficiaries in Kurnool city. On Tuesday, the Minister conducted a review meeting at the State Guest House with District Joint Collector Dr B Navya, Kurnool RDO Sandeep Kumar, Kurnool Tahsildar Venkata Ramesh, Urban Tahsildar Ravi, and Kallur Tahsildar Anjaneyulu. He directed officials to initiate the patta distribution process similar to the one carried out by Minister Nara Lokesh in Mangalagiri. Referring to the earlier promise made by Lokesh during the Yuvagalam padayatra, the Minister said pattas would be issued to the residents of the Gudem Kottala locality near the Pump House. The Minister emphasized the need to issue pattas to long-time residents of various localities in Kurnool, in accordance with government regulations. He acknowledged that several individuals who had received pattas in the past were yet to be allocated plots and directed officials to identify and allocate lands to such beneficiaries. He also instructed that survey and verification be carried out in Budhavarapeta and other affected areas to ensure all eligible residents are granted rightful ownership. The Minister noted that issues have arisen in locating land in E Thandrapadu where pattas were given before 2014, and urged swift resolution of these concerns. In a key development, Minister Bharath directed officials to take immediate steps to acquire 4.5 acres of dotted land opposite the Municipal Water Works near Venkataramana Colony from the police department, to facilitate public development works. He also ordered the demolition and leveling of dilapidated houses in the A, B, and C camp government housing colonies, and proposed repurposing the cleared land for future government development projects.

Kurnool: In a humanitarian outreach, Industries Minister TG Bharath distributed Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques worth over Rs 5 lakh to nine beneficiaries, facing medical and financial emergencies, at his office in Kurnool on Saturday. Minister Bharath claimed that the government is committed to support the poor and distressed through the CMRF, a crucial support system initiated by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Among the beneficiaries, G Raju got Rs 28,000; N Girija Bai got Rs 55,000; S Balayya Rs 41,300; M Lakshmidevi Rs 66,461; P Rajesh Kumar Rs 35,000; V Subrahmanyam Rs 30,786; G Sunil Kumar Reddy Rs 1,31,655; Reshma Anjum Rs 83,826; and Kasetti Madhavi got Rs 32,255.

Kurnool: Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing Minister TG Bharath directed agriculture officials to raise awareness among farmers about the effective use of drone technology in agriculture. Speaking at Zilla Parishad general body meeting in Kurnool on Saturday, chaired by ZP Chairman Errabothula Papireddy, the Minister urged officials to expedite the formation of farmer groups to meet the target of deploying 35 drones, with only 17 sanctioned so far. He instructed mandal-level agricultural officers to educate farmers on drone spraying to boost productivity and efficiency. The meeting addressed several key issues, including NTR health scheme. Responding to the complaints from Adoni MLA Parthasarathi about network hospitals charging patients, Bharath ordered the health department to establish a vigilance committee to ensure proper implementation. He also directed the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) to investigate high oxygen procurement costs in government hospitals and recommended adopting Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC) over Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for critical equipment like ICU setups. On sanitation and education, the Minister emphasised the need for a centralised, high-quality supply of bleaching powder State-wide to maintain hygiene standards. He instructed the District Education Officers (DEOs) of Kurnool and Nandyal to inspect school buildings over 20 years old and implement safety measures. Additionally, he sought details from irrigation officials on pending flood risk mitigation proposals along the Handri River, requesting a copy of the submitted plans. District Collector P Ranjith Basha and Nandyal Collector G Rajakumari addressed local concerns, including counterfeit seeds in C Belagal mandal, horticulture crop expansion, cotton seed subsidies due to high rainfall, and health infrastructure upgrades in Adoni. The Collector announced that the Mega DSC exams would conclude by July 2, with results expected by July 15, facilitating teacher recruitment. He noted that the district's 10th-grade pass rate improved to 88.88% with virtual classrooms. Proposals for new KGBVs, BC hostels, and model schools have been submitted to the Central government.

KURNOOL: The State government has approved the setting up of a large-scale beverage manufacturing unit by Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) in the Orvakal Mega Industrial Hub of Kurnool district. The Rs 1,622 crore project will produce carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, packaged drinking water, and other beverages. The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has allotted 80 acres of land for the unit, priced at Rs 30 lakh per acre. Land acquisition will be completed by 30 June, while registration is expected by July 20. The plant will begin trial production by June 2026, with full-scale commercial operations scheduled for December 2026. Machinery installation and infrastructure work will conclude by December this year. The project would create direct employment for 1,200 people and indirect employment for another 2,400. Minister for Industries, Commerce and Food Processing TG Bharath told TNIE that the project materialised after just one and a half months of discussions. 'It is the best example of how fast we are progressing. Securing such a major investment in a short span reflects our government's commitment,' he said. HRD Minister Nara Lokesh also tweeted on X, stating, 'As part of our commitment to Rayalaseema's development, the State government has allotted land at Orvakal for Reliance Consumer Products Ltd to set up a Rs 1,622-crore mega beverages unit. Thanks to the visionary leadership of CM @ncbn garu, Rayalaseema's industrial transformation is taking shape.'
