However, they are in no rush for the honor. Matt and Jeff Hardy recently appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show where they discussed their future, including a potential final run in WWE. Hardy Boyz One Last Hurrah In WWE Matt Hardy stated that the team would like to have "one last hurrah" with WWE. He noted it could be possible to do so while still working with TNA. "We would like one last hurrah with WWE. That could be possible while working with TNA," Matt said. "We'll see." He added that their goal is to have the most limited schedule possible. This would allow them to optimize time with their families. Hardy Boyz and Cesaro (C) battle in the ring during the WWE show at Zenith Arena on May 10, 2017 in Lille, northern France. "Yeah. We'll definitely do it one day," he stated. However, he is not in a hurry for it to happen. Jeff then chimed in with a potential timeline, joking, "I was thinking 2030." This comes after Jeff Hardy previously turned down a solo induction into the Hall of Fame in 2022. He has stated he wants to be inducted alongside his brother. The Hardy Boyz are currently signed to TNA Wrestling. They are set to challenge for the TNA Tag Team Titles at the upcoming Slammiversary event. Who Are The Hardy Boyz? The Hardy Boyz are one of the most influential tag teams in history, with legendary runs in both WWE and TNA. In WWE, they were pioneers of the Attitude Era, revolutionizing tag team wrestling alongside Edge & Christian and The Dudley Boyz in the iconic Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) matches. They are nine-time WWE World Tag Team Champions, and both also achieved significant singles success, with Jeff becoming a WWE and World Heavyweight Champion. In TNA, The Hardys continued to evolve. Jeff captured the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on three occasions, while Matt famously reinvented himself with the "Broken" character, a creative phenomenon that took the wrestling world by storm. Together, they also captured the TNA World Tag Team Championship on three occasions, proving their drawing power and ability to innovate across multiple major promotions for decades. Wrestling Legend Teases In-Ring Retirement Is Imminent

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. AEW star Adam Copeland has hinted that the end of his in-ring career may be approaching. In a recent social media post, he noted that his wrestling journey "will not last a lot longer." The WWE Hall of Famer is currently out of action with a storyline injury. He was taken out by FTR at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view earlier this year. Adam Copeland Reflects On 33-Year Career On July 1st, Copeland celebrated Canada Day by reflecting on his career. The date also marked the 33rd anniversary of his professional wrestling debut. He thanked his fans for their support throughout his journey. He then stated that he plans to soak in every moment he has left. "It won't last a lot longer so I'm gonna soak in every second," Copeland wrote. "Thank you for coming along on this ride with me." Since then, he has won the TNT Championship and challenged for the AEW World Title. He is currently sidelined after FTR turned on him at AEW Dynasty. The duo attacked him and hit him with a con-chair-to. There is no official timeline for his return to AEW television. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Adam Copeland (@ratedrcope) Copeland, known in WWE as Edge, is one of the most decorated superstars in the company's history. He first revolutionized the industry alongside his partner Christian, winning a record 14 world tag team championships and pioneering the iconic Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. As a singles star, "The Rated-R Superstar" became an 11-time World Champion. He was also the first-ever Money in the Bank winner, a two-time Royal Rumble winner (2010 and 2021), and a King of the Ring. A Grand Slam Champion, Edge was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 following a career-ending injury, only to make a miraculous return to the ring years later to continue building his legendary resume. Edge's first retirement was a sudden and emotional event that took place on the April 11, 2011, episode of Monday Night Raw. He was forced to end his in-ring career immediately after being diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis, a severe narrowing of the spinal canal. Doctors warned him that he was risking paralysis or worse if he took another bad bump. The announcement was especially shocking as he was the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, having just defended the title at WrestleMania XXVII. During a heartfelt and tearful speech, he recounted his journey and officially vacated the championship, laying it in the center of the ring. Believed to be the definitive end of his career, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 before making a miraculous and unexpected return to the ring nearly nine years later at the 2020 Royal Rumble. WWE 'dream match' fans are clamouring for was cancelled 14 years ago

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video WWE fans are desperate to see Motor City Machine Guns lock horns with The Hardy Boyz, and it almost happened. SmackDown stars Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin – who are now available as playable characters in WWE 2K25's New Wave DLC pack which launched today – have long been hailed as one of the best tag teams of the last 20 years, but a bout with icons Matt and Jeff Hardy has always eluded them. Speaking exclusively to Metro after the Hardys admitted they'd be up for it, Sabin quipped: 'Sounds like a dream match.' 'It was scheduled once,' his tag partner recalled, noting that it was on the cards around 14 years ago. He added: 'Maybe 2011, there was a UK tour TNA had booked that match on in particular. And I can't remember where it was gonna be. It was gonna be somewhere in England. 'And something happened, I can't remember exactly what, but it never came to fruition. So we've somehow managed to evade the Hardy Boys our entire career, and it's probably time that we get that match.' They're two of the greatest teams to never face each other, while there have constantly been comparisons due to their high energy wrestling style. There was echos just last week, when MCMG battled Street Profits and #DIY in an utterly wild Tables, Ladders and Chairs match reminiscent of the Hardys' TLC battles with the Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian. 'As far as the people involved in that match, if you were to go back and analyse wrestling history, we by far have the most experience in these types of situations, and it's not even close,' Shelley pointed out. 'I dare say that we were brought up in part with said experience from Team 3D [the Dudleyz] who are the experts in these types of situations, no less.' High risk dives, bodies crashing through tables, and even a fan's prosthetic leg being used as a weapon – the match had it all. As much as everyone involved 'tried to calculate everything' they were doing, they're still feeling the effects. 'It is a match that you don't walk away from without any sort of scrapes or aches or bruises,' Shelley pointed out. 'You do give a bit of yourself when you go through those types of matches. 'But at the same time, I wouldn't trade it for the world. Even if we lost, I wouldn't trade it for the world. We'll just win the next one. There's got to be [another] one, right? There's got to be.' In the meantime, fans can put the Motor City Machine Guns in whatever matches they want with the new WWE 2K25 DLC pack, which also features Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer and a to-be-announced celebrity guest. 'It's almost indescribable. It's really one of those bucket list type things,' Sabin said of being in a WWE video game. 'When you get into wrestling, you make it to WWE, you want to be on a trading card, you want to have an action figure, and you want to be in a video game.' The New Wave pack – which is available as part of the Season Pass or individual purchase – includes MyFACTION cards for each star, including MCMG, and a total of more than 40 moves and taunts. It's actually not the former TNA Wrestling champion's first foray with the franchise, as he previously 'did a lot of mocap' work around seven years ago, creating moves for other wrestlers. 'It was fun. I actually got to do my own entrance for the game,' he beamed. 'It wasn't named after me or anything like that, but my entrance was in the game before this, which is pretty cool.' This time, the process for the game was much simpler as they spent an hour before an episode of SmackDown getting their faces scanned and photos taken. 'I'm curious to know, actually, who mo-capped our moves,' Sabin admitted. Appearing in the game just months after their high profile debut is another pinch-me moment for the duo, but there was no greater surprise or honour than capturing the tag team titles in just their second week. 'It was pretty surprising. We didn't really have expectations that high coming in and winning the championship in our third match, second week here,' Sabin said. More Trending 'But that just shows the trust that they have in us, and the confidence that they have in us as performers. A lot of people put in good words for us, to just get us here and to be able to bypass NXT and go right to the main roster like that. 'That says something for what we've done, and the hard work we put in throughout the years. Hopefully we've made all the people who put in a word for us proud.' WWE star uses fan's prosthetic leg as a weapon in 'craziest match ever'

WWE fans expecting a typical Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match got much more than they bargained for on SmackDown. Friday night's Netflix live stream of the weekly wrestling show was headlined by a blockbuster main event pitting WWE Tag Team Champions the Street Profits against challengers #DIY and Motor City Machine Guns. TLC matches are always a whirlwind of weapons, but viewers didn't think they'd see an actual prosthetic leg become part of the show. Midway through a barnstormer of a bout, a fan on the front row was seen waving his limb and begging Montez Ford to use it as a weapon. There was a second's hesitation before the 34-year-old wrestler obliged, cracking Johnny Gargano with the fake leg to cheers from the crowd in a moment that can only happen in WWE. Profits went onto retain the gold, but for a while all people were talking about online was the outrageous unplanned exchange. 'Taking a fake leg is the BEST thing ive ever seen . Thats the best crowd assisted moment of the decade 🤣🤣🤣💯 (sic),' laughed @Dev2Trilll, while @JuicyJunior77 added: 'mf just used someone's prosthetic leg as a weapon 🤣🤣' Viewers were in disbelief, with @DazednGlaze writing: 'The fan giving Montez his prosthetic leg omg 😂😂💀💀💀💀' 'Montez Ford using the fan's prosthetic leg just made the match that much better,' tweeted @deadeditors_, while @thashark613 wrote: 'Did I just see a prosthetic leg used as a weapon?!?! This match is EVERYTHING!' And @PrinceWatercress said: 'Montez Ford just whacked somebody in the back with a fan's prosthetic leg. Highlight of the night. #SmackDown' Away from the prosthetic action, the trio of teams clearly had a point to prove after missing out on being part of the WrestleMania card. The nonstop energy and high risk action would have been a contender for match of Mania weekend if it'd taken place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Still, fans were in awe of the spectacle, hailing the clash one of the best ever, as JasonCowboysMan claimed: 'That has got to be the wildest TLC match of all time.' 'This tag team TLC match is one of the best I have ever watched, this is absolutely insane,' raved @EHazardFC, as @RobTaker agreed: 'This might be the craziest TLC match ever!' More Trending And OMGitsAlexsi hit the nail on the head as they wrote: 'This might be one of the best TLC matches ever. It would have absolutely stolen the entire show at Mania had it made the card.' SmackDown more than delivered across the board too, with John Cena challenging Randy Orton for one final match at Backlash, the return of Aleister Black, and Zelina Vega capturing the United States Championship.
