Leave Me Alone
Located at the edge of trendy Shimokitazawa, Leave Me Alone is a space of esoteric contradiction. The softly lit venue is sparsely yet tastefully decorated, with a custom smiling flower portrait from the iconic Takashi Murakami, plus dolls created by Mr., the noted Kaikai Kiki artist. The venue is the latest venture from corporate-bigwig-turned-bar-owner Hirohisa Tamonoki. The forty-something former tech VIP from Akita prefecture opened the bar at the end of 2024, finally fulfilling 'a dream he'd left behind' after decades in the corporate world. A self-proclaimed introvert, Tamonoki aimed to create a space for people like himself who never quite fit in. He also wants to attract individuals with a passion for the music genre that reigns supreme at his bar: noise. From the disorienting percussive sounds of Japanese noise legend Merzbow to the abrasive vocals of American experimental rock band Swans, you'll get your fill of sonic brutality through track after track of harsh noise, industrial noise, noise rock and so on. The harshness of the bar's soundtrack is in contrast to the intimate nature of the space, but somehow it works. 'It's not for everybody,' says Tamonoki. 'But if you get it, you get it.' The bar's drink options are less eclectic (but no less tasty), and feature various kinds of whiskey and gin – think classics like Hakushu, Hibiki, Sakurao and Kanomori. A speciality cocktail menu is in the works and currently features mezcal negronis and seasonal fruit gin and tonics. Invitations to Leave Me Alone are strictly through DM only. If noise music is your thing and you're thinking of stopping by, request the location by contacting the bar via Instagram @leave_me_alone_bar.

Cardi B Shares Luxurious First Photos Of Youngest Daughter, Blossom
Cardi B just gave the world a first look at baby Blossom, her youngest daughter who's the spitting image of her older siblings Kulture, 6 and Wave, 3. On Monday (June 16), the rapper and mother of three shared a heartwarming carousel on Instagram featuring luxurious shots of her children soaking up the summer sun all dripped out in Louis Vuitton's latest Cherry Blossom line with Takashi Murakami. Among the snaps were images of Blossom, marking the first time fans have seen the infant's face since her birth in September. 'It is you Miss Blossom Belles,' she captioned the post introducing her family's latest addition. The 32-year-old kicked off the carousel with a heart-melting photo of baby Blossom rocking a vibrant pink swimsuit, light pink socks, and a floral Louis Vuitton scarf atop her head. With her chubby cheeks and gummy smile, the stylish infant even clutched a mini LV handbag in her tiny hand. Kulture also appeared in the carousel with a glamorous shot of her poolside, dressed in a beige swimsuit, LV scarf, matching floral bag and Van Cleef & Arpels anklets. Like mother, like daughter, Cardi B also included a photo of her showing off her matching beige bathing suit, LV scarf and bag, while carrying an umbrella. As for wave, he kept it chill with salmon faint pink shorts and Timberland boots. Following the upload, the Grammy-winner's comment section filled with admiration and positive comments about her in mommy mode. 'Baby feverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr wtffffffff,' commented Latto who currently has no children. 'Cardi make some pretty a** kids!!!!' wrote reality star, Bobby Lytes. Lytes followed up with another comment calling out Blossom's striking appearance to her older sister's, writing, 'Omgggg so you gave birth to another Kulture??! Hey miss Blossom.' One more person quipped, 'NAH YOU ATE W THEM TRIPLETSSSS!!!' Cardi's family-filled post comes amid her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Offset, and her latest accolade of ASCAP's 'Voice of the Culture.' The 32-year-old was presented with the award earlier this month for her influence on today's music and culture. Past recipients of the award have included Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, D-Nice, and T.I. Showing much appreciation and gratitude, the Bronx-star took the stage to say, 'My voice has always been a reflection of what I live and what I'm living, which I feel is a true reflection of the people, the culture, my friends, my family, and the environment that I grew up in. I like to put that in my music — my joys, my pains, my drama, everything.' 'I hate the idea that if you don't write every line on your own, it makes what you have to say not real. Music is a collaboration, it has always been,' she continued. 'The biggest hits [and] the greatest records come from teamwork. They come from sharing experiences, energy, pain and joy. It's not about ego, it's about impact.' She finished off her speech letting naysayers know that she does 'write, co-write, and rewrite.' She went on to say, 'I speak to what's true to me. My pen, my mind and my feelings are in every verse and in every hook. I respect every writer who brings their magic to the table. This award is not just for me, it's for the culture.' The high-end hotels getting in bed with the art world
The Peninsula Hong Kong is known for its elaborate afternoon teas, drawing socialites and jet-setters to its lobby each afternoon to nibble on finger sandwiches, lemon meringue tarts and raisin scones with jam and clotted cream. But for two months a year from late March, the hotel hands itself over to the avant-garde scene as it transforms into a makeshift gallery. Art is a natural bedfellow for luxury hotels, which have no lack of grand spaces or culture-savvy clientele. The Dolder Grand in Zurich boasts works by living legends Takashi Murakami and Anish Kapoor. Gramercy Park Hotel in New York flaunts the late greats of that city including Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Beijing's Hotel Éclat uses its guestrooms and public spaces to showcase contemporary Chinese artists including the internationally renowned Gao Xiaowu.
