Uttarakhand CM Dhami directs officials to provide job-oriented training to youth

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 14 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday directed the officials to provide training to the youth of the state in various trades as per the demand of industrial institutions. The Chief Minister directed the officials in a virtual review meeting of the Technical Education Department held in Dehradun. Chief Minister Dhami said that training programs based on cutting-edge subjects like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics should also be given priority. It should be ensured that maximum number of trainees get employment opportunities through campus placement. Also, students should be given educational tours of industries, so that they get practical experience. The Chief Minister said that work should be done in collaboration with IIT Roorkee to further improve the quality of training in technical institutes. There is a need to pay special attention to how the Center of Excellence, Roorkee can be used optimally in the interest of the youth of the state. Chief Minister Dhami directed that regular employment fairs should be ensured to connect the youth with employment. Also, while making plans, outcome indicators should be kept in mind especially, so that the actual impact of the schemes is clearly reflected. He said that the aim of the state government is to move Uttarakhand towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the year 2030. To fulfill this objective, youth are being trained in the fields of technical skills, soft skills, entrepreneurship and innovation. The Chief Minister said that employment and higher education opportunities are being ensured not only in the state but also abroad through programs like online placement portal, career guidance, faculty upgradation, internships and training in foreign languages. Earlier in the day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and sought guidance on various issues related to the development of Uttarakhand, a release from Uttarakhand CMO said. Expressing gratitude to the Central Government for its cooperation in the development of the state, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Uttarakhand is ready to play its effective role in the vision of Developed India 2047. TGECET-2025 final phase admissions counselling begins

Hyderabad: TheTelangana Government Engineering Common Entrance Test (TGECET-2025) has announced the schedule for its final phase of admissions counselling, offering one last opportunity for eligible candidates to secure seats in engineering colleges across the state. According to the official release by A. Sridevasena, Commissioner of Technical Education and Convenor, TGECET-2025 Admissions, the Certificate Verification process will take place on July 14, 2025. Candidates must pay the processing fee and book a slot online to attend this verification. Following this, students can exercise their web options for college and course preferences from July 14 to July 15, 2025. Based on these preferences and seat availability, the provisional allotment of seats will be announced on or before July 18, 2025. Officials have urged all candidates to exercise as many options as possible to improve their chances of securing admission in a preferred college and course. All related details — including the detailed notification, list of help line centres, and available courses — are available on the official counselling website: The Technical Education Department has requested the media to give wide publicity to the counselling schedule to ensure that no eligible student misses this final opportunity.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will launch various development projects worth ₹4,000 crore, in Indi in Vijayapura district on July 9, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will be present, MLA Yashwant Rayagouda Patil told reporters in Indi on Thursday. He was speaking at a preparatory meeting organised at the Indi Mini Vidhana Soudha. The projects include 19 lake filling works, Thidagundi lift irrigation expansion, Horti Revanasiddeshwar lift irrigation work phase-2 and 3, construction of Tadavalaga KGBV school building, residential school for workers' children, Maulana Abul Kalam residential school, Morarji Desai residential school for minorities, work on additional rooms of the Technical Education Department, a glimpse of the Government First Class College, inauguration of the veterinary hospital in Miragi village, improvement of Lalasangi lake in Indi taluk, works of the Public Works Department, construction of a boys' hostel in Lachyana village, construction of various community buildings, CC road work, inauguration of Mega market, ground breaking ceremony for construction of bridge-cum-barrage for the Miragi village stream, various developments of the city's taluka stadium. Mr. Yashwant also said the inauguration, dedication and foundation stone laying of various development works including the ground-breaking ceremony of the works and the ground-breaking ceremony of the Pragati Path project. Deputy Commissioner T. Bhoobalan and Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbaragi asked officers to take all necessary precautions and measures to ensure smooth conduct of the function. Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Rishi Anand, Assistant commissioner Anuradha Vastrad, Tahsildar V.S. Kadakabhavi and other district and taluk level officials were present.
