'The Islamic New Year marks a significant moment in Islamic history. It is not merely a remembrance of the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) migration from Makkah to Madinah, but holds a far deeper meaning,' they said.

In a Facebook post Friday (June 27), Their Royal Highnesses described the Islamic New Year as a symbol of sacrifice, resilience, and a fresh start towards a better life. "The Islamic New Year marks a significant moment in Islamic history. It is not merely a remembrance of the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) migration from Makkah to Madinah, but holds a far deeper meaning," they said. Their Highnesses called on Muslims to reflect on their lives and renew their commitment to becoming pious individuals who contribute positively to their families, communities, and the nation Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah also prayed for the people of Pahang to be blessed with good health, protection, strong faith, and unity in facing present and future challenges. Pahang Sultan, Tengku Ampuan convey condolences to Hamzah Zainudin, family
KUANTAN: Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have extended their condolences to Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin and his family over the passing of his mother-in-law. In a message posted on Facebook today, Their Royal Highnesses prayed that the soul of the late Datin Hajah Salmiah Nyak Matt, 84, will be placed among the righteous and pious. "May Allah SWT also grant strength to the bereaved family and continue to bless them with His mercy and love," read the message. Two dead in car-lorry crash on Kuantan-Maran road
KUANTAN: Two people were killed and two others injured in a collision involving a car and a trailer lorry on Jalan Kuantan-Maran highway on Saturday afternoon (June 14). The crash, which occurred at Batu 12 around 3.30pm, was believed to have happened when the lorry, travelling from Johor towards Kuantan, lost control and swerved into oncoming traffic before colliding with a Sedan. Kuantan OCPD Asst Comm Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said Norihan Mustafa, 57, a passenger in the back seat of the car, died at the scene. The lorry driver, 24-year-old Jayavarman Murugan, was taken to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital but later died in the emergency ward. The car, which was heading towards Maran from Kuantan, was carrying three people. The driver, Mohd Ridzwan Ab Mubin, 59, sustained injuries to his face and shoulder, while another passenger escaped with minor injuries. Both vehicles are being inspected by the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom), and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which covers dangerous driving causing death. The injured survivors are being treated at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital. – Bernama

KUANTAN, May 31 (Bernama) -- Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have extended their heartfelt greetings to the people of Sabah and Sarawak in conjunction with the Gawai Dayak and Kaamatan Festival celebrations. In a post on the Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page, Their Royal Highnesses said the Kaamatan Festival and Gawai Dayak symbolise the rich cultural heritage and a spirit of gratitude for a bountiful harvest. 'The celebrations reflect the high value placed on unity and harmony among the diverse communities in the country,' the post read.
