But, according to reports from TMZ , sources with direct knowledge insist Jackson and Maxwell have nothing going on romantically. The pair have been good friends for years and years, and, according to insiders, that is still where their relationship stands today. Speculation about Janet and Maxwell possibly being a couple started to skyrocket after they arrived hand-in-hand at the 1,500th performance of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club on Monday evening in London. The 'That's the Way Love Goes' singer was flashing a big smile as she led Maxwell into the performance, and the friends looked closer than normal during this particular outing. Jackson has been divorced since 2017, and in the years since, she's kept her love life on the down low. Maxwell isn't publicly dating anyone, either, but unfortunately for hopeful fans, that doesn't mean anything is going on between these two. These rumors come nearly a decade after Jackson divorced her ex-husband Wissam Al Mana after five years of marriage. Together, the two share son, Eissa, 8. '[Being a mother is] the most beautiful thing. I'm so thankful God allowed me to have this experience, this journey in my life,' she told the BBC in July 2024. 'And I love every single minute of it.' In the same interview, Janet joked about her love life, asking, 'How many times have I been married now? Three I think.' Prior to Al Mana, she was previously married to René Elizondo Jr. and James DeBarge. In another interview with The Guardian a few months later, Jackson revealed she was single, but said she feels like she has broken free of control in her relationships. 'I'm single, so I pray to God that I might have different lenses on these eyes than I did before,' she said. 'I know that if someone were to come along…even if I didn't recognize it, I guarantee you my friends would shake the shit out of me and say, 'What are you doing?!' But I think I'm seeing it through different lenses now. I think I am breaking that pattern.' The suit featured high-waisted trousers with a clean, elongated silhouette, a crisp white collared shirt, and a matching blazer. She styled her hair in a tight braided bun, highlighting her signature bold cheekbones. And, to that end, her makeup was glowing. The 'That's the Way Love Goes' singer accessorized her look with silver statement hoops and subtle rings. Next to her, Maxwell looked equally as iconic in a classic pinstripe suit and orange-tinted shades. The 'Ascension' singer kept it cool, coordinated, and quietly confident. Los Angeles [US], May 12 (ANI): Veteran country music star Johnny Rodriguez is no more. As per The Hollywood Reporter, Johnny, best known for the tracks 'That's the Way Love Goes' and 'Ridin' My Thumb to Mexico', breathed his last on May 9 at the age of 73. The news of his demise was announced by his daughter, Aubry Rodriguez, on social media last weekend. "Dad was not only a legendary musician whose artistry touched millions around the world, but also a deeply loved husband, father, uncle and brother whose warmth, humor, and compassion shaped the lives of all who knew him," she wrote in an Instagram post. "We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of love and support from fans, colleagues and friends during this time of grief." She also requested privacy as her family "navigates this painful moment." "While the world has lost an extraordinary talent, we have lost someone irreplaceable -- and we ask for privacy as we navigate this painful moment together," Aubry concluded. Rodriguez was one of the first Hispanic country music stars, finding success at the beginning of his career after moving to Nashville at 21 and signing a deal with Mercury Records. His first single with the label, 1972's "Pass Me By (If You're Only Passing Through)," reached No. 9 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. His first No. 1 hit on the country charts arrived in 1973 with his track "You Always Come Back to Hurting Me," with his song "Ridin' My Thumb to Mexico" also reaching No. 1 later that year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
