Linkin Park Reaches A Career Landmark For The First Time
Linkin Park's 'In the End' celebrates 100 weeks on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart — the ... More band's first triple-digit-charter on the worldwide tally. TOKYO - JULY 07: Chester Bennington of Linkin Park performs on stage at the Tokyo leg of the Live Earth series of concerts, at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on July 7, 2007 in Tokyo, Japan. Launched by former US Vice President Al Gore to combat Global Warming, the concert is one of a series taking place over a 24-hour period on July 7 across seven continents. (Photo by) 'In the End' is the song that started it all for Linkin Park, so it makes sense that the tune remains the most popular in the band's discography. Even after decades of smashes and successful albums, no other cut has been able to top 'In the End' in the Grammy-winning act's catalog, as people all around the world continue to buy and stream the track. The single, which somehow appealed to everyone from the most intense hard rock superfan to top 40 pop lovers, helps Linkin Park reach a new milestone on one of Billboard's worldwide tallies this week. 'In the End' Hits a Milestone 100 Weeks 'In the End' has now lived on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. for 100 weeks. That list ranks the most consumed tracks all around the world — excluding streams and sales coming from American listeners — as it aims to paint a picture of what the rest of the planet is listening to. This moment is a first for Linkin Park, as 'In the End' is the band's only tune to rack up triple-digit stays on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Following behind the introductory single is 'Numb,' which is now up to 81 weeks on the tally, a figure it adds to once again this time around. 'The Emptiness Machine' follows in third, with only 43 appearances on the same roster. 'In the End' Never Hit the Top 40 Despite its longevity, 'In the End' has never managed to crack the top 40 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., though it has come close. Last fall, when Linkin Park began to roll out music from its then-forthcoming comeback album From Zero, 'In the End' rocketed to No. 42, which remains its all-time high. The hard rock tune originally arrived in October 2020, when Billboard's global rankings were still brand new. This week, it dips slightly to No. 70, falling just one space. Linkin Park Scores Multiple Worldwide Wins 'In the End' also ranks as Linkin Park's sturdiest hit on the Billboard Global 200. On that ranking, the cut reached 100 weeks less than a month ago. At the moment, it sits just two spaces behind where it lands on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Linkin Park fills a trio of spots on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. at present, as 'In the End,' 'Numb,' and 'The Emptiness Machine' all find space. 'In the End' is also a hit in America, as it rises on the Alternative Streaming Songs chart and holds at No. 1 yet again on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally.

Linkin Park Perform ‘In the End', ‘Numb' at UEFA Final in Munich
Linkin Park delivered a four-song set ahead of the UEFA Champions League final in Munich on Saturday night (June 1), continuing their return to the live stage with performances of 'The Emptiness Machine,' 'In the End,' 'Numb,' and 'Heavy Is the Crown.' Taking the stage at Munich Football Arena just before kickoff between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan, the band's appearance served as a high-profile preview of their upcoming world tour, which supports their latest album, From Zero, released last year. Armstrong's debut sparked conversation online, including public commentary from the late Chester Bennington's family and discussion around her past professional affiliations. From Zero is Linkin Park's first studio album since 2017's One More Light, released just months before Bennington's death. At the band's first show with their new lineup last year, co-founder Mike Shinoda addressed the crowd, saying, 'We are thrilled to be back out here. It is not about erasing the past. It is about starting this new chapter into the future and coming out here for each and every one of you.' Shinoda expanded on that sentiment during a guest appearance on The Tonight Show, explaining, 'I think the important thing for us is that we never set out to, like, 'Let's bring the band back' or 'Let's find a singer.' That was never our intention or our goal.' The album debuted at No. 1 on all of the above charts last November, except for the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales, where it arrived at No. 2. Following its deluxe reissue with additional tracks on May 16, From Zero recently returned to Top Album Sales (at No. 5), Top Hard Rock Albums (No. 4), Vinyl Albums (No. 8), Top Alternative Albums (No. 9), Top Rock Albums (No. 15), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 17), Indie Store Album Sales (No. 17) and the Billboard 200 (No. 71) charts dated May 31. The North American leg of Linkin Park's upcoming tour is set to kick off July 29 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The run will include stops across the U.S. through August and September, including a major date at Dodger Stadium with Queens of the Stone Age, before it wraps Sept. 24 in Seattle. Linkin Park Nearly Doubles The Competition's Chart Success
Linkin Park dominates the Official Rock and Metal Singles chart in the U.K. with seven songs, more ... More than any other rock act this week. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 17: (FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY) (L-R) Colin Brittain, Emily Armstrong, Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn of Linkin Park attend the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California on March 17, 2025. Broadcasted live on FOX. (Photo byfor iHeartRadio) To this day, Linkin Park remains one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the modern era. In the United Kingdom, the group continues to find space on the charts — not just with the classics that made the nu-metal favorites superstars a quarter-century ago, but also with comeback tunes released just months ago. Such longevity is rare among rock acts, especially those that helped pioneer a style many would argue has largely disappeared. But Linkin Park continues to stand out as a commercial force, both with full-length projects and singles. This week, the group dominates one songs chart in the U.K., with multiple comeback cuts appearing near one another. Linkin Park manages to beat all other rock groups from every era with ease, and almost doubles the total sum of a handful of the biggest and best to ever do it. Linkin Park fills seven spaces on the Official Rock and Metal Singles chart this week. The tally, which ranks the bestselling tunes in those styles, only features 40 spots, so claiming even just a handful of positions is quite the coup. Half of Linkin Park's current hits return to the Official Rock and Metal Singles chart. "One Step Closer," "What I've Done," and "Heavy" reenter the list at Nos. 30, 34, and 39, respectively. Four other tracks by Linkin Park — "Numb," "The Emptiness Machine," "Faint," and "Up From the Bottom" — are also still present on the Official Rock and Metal Singles chart at the moment. "Numb" is the highest-ranking of the bunch, as it holds at No. 9. Both "The Emptiness Machine" and "Faint" climb from where they sat last time, this week settling at Nos. 13 and 28, respectively. "Up From the Bottom," meanwhile, reverses course and drops from No. 27 to No. 35. Linkin Park's seven current hits become even more impressive when compared to the next most successful names on the Official Rock and Metal Singles tally. Both Queen and AC/DC are tied for the second-most smashes this time around, with four apiece. Linkin Park nearly matches those bands' cumulative sum.
