The Usos are not done yet, Jey and Jimmy Uso could be coming for The New Day

Jey and Jimmy Uso (Image via Getty Images) Jey Uso has had a tough few weeks in WWE , but things are about to get interesting for him. After losing the World Heavyweight Championship and being knocked out of the King of the Ring tournament, many fans wondered what was next for Jey. Now, new rumors suggest that Jey could be reuniting with his brother, Jimmy Uso , for a huge tag team run. The Usos are among the most popular and successful tag teams in WWE history. But for the last few months, the two brothers have been busy with different things. Jey has been focusing on singles matches, while Jimmy has been involved in other storylines on SmackDown. But it seems WWE may finally bring them back together, and fans could not be more excited. Are Jey and Jimmy Uso reuniting soon? The latest hint about a possible reunion came from former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci. Speaking on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Carlucci explained what he believes WWE is planning for the Uso twins. 'They're setting him up to go back with his brother Jimmy to wrestle The New Day. That's what's gonna happen here, folks.' The Usos are ready for a big return It is no secret that Jey Uso has been going through ups and downs lately. He lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther after a 51-day reign and was eliminated from the King of the Ring tournament by Cody Rhodes . Fans have been worried that WWE may not use him properly after these losses. Tommy Carlucci also said that WWE should be careful not to waste Jey's popularity. The crowd still supports him, and a tag team reunion with Jimmy could help him stay on top. Cody Rhodes vs. Jey Uso | King of the Ring Semifinal: Raw highlights, June 23, 2025 While Jey was competing in the King of the Ring, his brother Jimmy recently appeared on SmackDown to help Jacob Fatu against Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo. This shows that Jimmy is still part of the action, making a reunion possible at any moment. The Usos are already record-breaking tag team champions, but it looks like they might be ready to chase the gold once again. Whether it's to take on The New Day or make their own path, the brothers coming back together would be huge for WWE. For now, it is just a rumor, but WWE fans know that when it comes to The Usos, anything can happen. WWE Raw takeaways: Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill advance to tournament finals

WWE Monday Night Raw on June 23 took place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and featured the last semifinal matches in the Queen and King of the Ring tournament. On this week's show, The New Day finally got a tag title match scheduled, Sami Zayn got fed up with Karrion Kross, Raquel Rodriguez put Rhea Ripley through a sponsored table, and Bron Breakker got a nice win over Penta. Check out the top takeaways from this episode: Seth Rollins is the "the finish line" Opening this week's show was Seth Rollins on the mic along with his crew of Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. Rollins referred to everyone in the ring as "the future," which not the first time the group has been labeled as such. However, they still have not yet been given an official name. After taking credit for everything good in WWE, Rollins went off about CM Punk being a thorn in his side. He also made mention of Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, who were all still active in the King of the Ring tournament, but Rollins warned they were all fighting for second place. As long as Rollins holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, he holds "the finish line" and "the endgame." There really wasn't anything new here in this promo, but Rollins delivered it well. WWE really, really should slap an official name on this group. Just go with "The Future" and print the t-shirts. Jade Cargill advances to Queen of the Ring final The last spot in the Queen of the Ring final was determined between Jade Cargill vs. Roxanne Perez. It was speed vs. power, and early in the match, Perez frustrated Cargill by running all around the ring, inside and out in a game of cat and mouse. Well, eventually the cat outsmarted the mouse and licked her face. Once Cargill got a hold of Perez, the power game was on display. However, Perez found a way to damage Cargill's leg, which then became her focus. Cargill sold the leg damage well as she struggled to complete moves and showed affects until the end of the match. That end came after a sequence of a powerbomb followed by Jaded for the three count. After the match, while Cargill posed next to the display crown at the entrance, Asuka joined her for a photo-op face-off for their match taking place at Night of Champions on Saturday. We've seen Cargill take on opponents much bigger like Nia Jax and much smaller like with Perez, and she's been performing well with everyone. The match vs. Asuka will be interesting. Will it be Queen Asuka or Queen Jade? Both are deserving, but it's arguable that Asuka needs the win more here. Goldberg, Gunther trade intense promos A pre-taped interview with Goldberg and Michael Cole was shown during the show to hype up the match against Gunther. Goldberg, looking every bit of 58 while sitting in the chair, said in so many words that he couldn't allow Gunther to get away with talking trash. Goldberg said he didn't know who his retirement match was going to be against, but Gunther kind of volunteered himself for it by opening his mouth. "I am gonna beat the f*** out of Gunther!" Goldberg said. Later in the show, Gunther marched to the ring to offer his rebuttal. Gunther was intense as ever. He said Goldberg was the man in his day, but it's no longer 1999. He then got up close to the camera and offered an apology to Goldberg's wife and son for what he's going to do to him. "It's my personal responsibility to make sure that the legacy and the myth of Bill Goldberg forever dies!" Gunther said. This was the absolute best thing WWE could have done with these promos. Allowing Goldberg to be in a controlled environment to speak his piece, and then having Gunther come out like a terrifying killer was excellent promo work. Gunther also directly saying we're not in the late '90s anymore was perfect too, because he's not shying away from the ridiculousness of this matchup. The match is dumb, but this was about as good as it gets for what they have to work with here. Becky Lynch retains IC title The Women's Intercontinental Championship was on the line in a singles match between the champ Becky Lynch and challenger Bayley, who was rocking the gear she intended to wear before getting pulled off WrestleMania 41. As expected, Bayley and Lynch put on a fantastic back-and-forth match. Both had big moments and kept the crowd into it. Things eventually spilled to the outside of the ring, where Lynch attempted to bury Bayley underneath the commentary desk by covering her with chairs for a count out win. Lyra Valkyria appeared from the crowd to assist Bayley back into the ring. Valkyria got up on the ring apron, refusing to his Lynch as she pointed at her chin, attempting to draw the DQ. Lynch ended up kicking Valkyria a moment later, which prompted her to enter the ring and attack, just as Bayley had went to the top rope looking to put her finishing touches on the match. Lynch escaped with the DQ win as Lynch and Valkyria argued in the ring. Welp, Bayley gets screwed again. Even though Bayley and Valkyria made peace in a backstage segment before the match, all of that went out the window. It's always good to get title matches on weekly television, but more often than not, you can expect shenanigans, and that's what happened here. Cody Rhodes advances to King of the Ring final The main event of this week's episode was none other than "Main Event" Jey Uso against his good friend Cody Rhodes for the last spot in the King of the Ring final. The babyface vs. babyface clash started with respect from both before getting down to business. Rhodes pulled out a kimura submission as a counter to an Uso Splash, and then Uso reversed into what has become a useful hold for him, the sleeper. A few moments later, Rhodes met Uso on the top rope for a superplex. After regaining some momentum, Uso went for a Cross Rhodes. Instead, he got hit with a Cody Cutter. Rhodes would go for a Disaster Kick, but got hit with a spear as the back-and-forth continued. After Rhodes hit a top rope Cody Cutter, Uso would connect with a Cross Rhodes. Then Uso unloaded with a series of kicks and a spear, but it wasn't enough. Rhodes hulked up for a top rope neckbreaker followed by a Cross Rhodes for the win. After the match, Rhodes and Uso embraced, showing no hard feelings after a hard-fought competition between friends. Rhodes advances to the final, where he will meet Randy Orton at Night of Champions for the King of the Ring crown. It makes sense Rhodes won here because he needed to get back to singles success.

3 Key Reasons Jey Uso Lost WWE World Heavyweight Championship

3 Key Reasons Jey Uso Lost WWE World Heavyweight Championship originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Jey Uso no longer holds the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and there are three key reasons for that. Advertisement Throughout the buildup to his title rematch against Gunther, the story with Uso was that he was spreading himself thin. Uso had a lot on his plate, including helping his friend Sami Zayn in his feud with Seth Rollins' faction and teaming with Cody Rhodes to face John Cena and Logan Paul at "Money in the Bank 2025." Gunther even told Uso in the weeks leading up to their match that he may have the right qualities to be a great person, but it doesn't make for a sustainable champion. Gunther ultimately ended Uso's 51-day reign by choking him out at the conclusion of "WWE Raw." While some fans may take issue with the fact that Uso didn't get a full two months with the top male prize on the red brand, there are some reasons for WWE's decision to take the title off "Raw's" top babyface. Jey Uso Will Be Just Fine "Main Event" Jey Uso cuts an in-ring promo during an episode of "WWE Raw."(via WWE) Jey Uso's rise to stardom began thanks to his work with The Bloodline story. While Uso was heavily praised for the serious tone of his promos, his popularity and marketability exploded with his "Yeet" catchphrase and his entrances going through the crowd. Advertisement Uso built a strong connection with WWE fans, and it was never linked to him winning a championship. WWE capitalized on the momentum by making Uso the WWE Intercontinental Champion, a reign that lasted just 28 days. Fans didn't sour on Uso then and stuck with him for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship win at "WrestleMania 41." WWE recently posted a video of several kids crying after Uso lost his title to Gunther. He's still over with the fans; the "Yeet" chants aren't going away. Uso will continue to be a top merchandise seller. Gunther's character needs gold more than Uso because "The Ring General" is most effective when he is a champion. Uso's true value is that you can plug him in anywhere and he'll remain popular. It's Time for The Usos to Team Again The Usos make their way out for a tag team match on "WWE Raw."(via WWE) While Jey Uso has been handling solo business on "Raw," his brother Jimmy Uso has been involved in side stories more than anything. While Jimmy has received plenty of TV time on "SmackDown," he hasn't been involved in marquee feuds that lead to PLE matches. He needs his brother to get back to that level. Advertisement WWE planted the seeds for The Usos and The New Day to renew their rivalry after Jey lost the world title to Gunther. In a video uploaded on WWE's social media pages, WWE World Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods mocked Jey over the loss. Kingston bragged about holding a singles world title longer than Jey could. All signs point to a tag team title match between The New Day and The Usos, potentially at "SummerSlam 2025." The Usos have long been a top act in WWE, and fans will likely have no issue getting behind the team once again. Bigger Plans for 'SummerSlam' Sami Zayn celebrates after qualifying for the 2025 King of the Ring tournament.(via WWE) For weeks, Sami Zayn has vowed to eventually become a world champion. It's a goal that has eluded him throughout his decorated in-ring career. On WWE TV, Zayn's ability to win a world title has been doubted by the likes of Karrion Kross. It's a similar underdog story that Uso had before ultimately winning the big one. Advertisement Fans have been speculating that Zayn could win the 2025 King of the Ring tournament, which would grant him a WWE World Heavyweight Championship opportunity at "SummerSlam." There is plenty of history between Zayn and Gunther, which would come into play if "The Ring General" remains champion. WWE can easily get fans emotionally invested in Zayn's attempt to capture his first world championship. The question is, could Zayn's reign be far shorter than Uso's as Seth Rollins' MITB briefcase looms over the "Raw" brand? WWE Raw preview - May 26 2025 Seth Rollins looks to book his place in this year's Money In The Bank ladder match. | WWE Money In The Bank Qualifier: Seth Rollins v Sami Zayn v Finn Balor The first of the two triple threat matches will see Seth Rollins battle Sami Zayn and Finn Balor. The Visionary is riding high following his tag team victory over Zayn and CM Punk on Saturday night and he'll look to keep building momentum as he works his way back toward the World Heavyweight Championship. With 'Big' Bronson Reed now aligning himself with Seth and Bron Breakker, and the lax rules of a triple threat match in play, Rollins might be unstoppable tonight as he aims to become a two-time Money in the Bank winner. Money In The Bank Qualifier: Chad Gable v Dragon Lee v Penta The second Men's Money in the Bank Qualifying Match will see the leader of American Made, Chad Gable, go up against Dragon Lee and Penta. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Chad Gable's struggles against Luchadores are well-documented. If he wants to punch his ticket to Money in the Bank in Los Angeles, he's going to have to find a way to overcome two of the best Luchadores that WWE has to offer. Perhaps El Grande Americano will emerge to lend a helping hand, or loaded head butt or two, to his good buddy Gable. World Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) v The War Raiders v The Creed Brothers WWE has booked a trio of triple threat matches for its third night in Tampa, the last of which will see The New Day defend their World Tag Team Championships for the first time since winning them at WrestleMania 41. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will put their titles on the line against The War Raiders and The Creed Brothers. The War Raiders desperately want to get their hands back on the titles that were stolen from them in Las Vegas, but they aren't the only team gunning for The New Day. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad While Chad Gable will be focused on qualifying for Money in the Bank, The Creed Brothers will have their sights set on bringing championship gold to American Made for the first time. Akira Tozawa v Rusev Akira Tozawa is seeking revenge for his good buddy Otis tonight when he goes one-on-one with Rusev. Tozawa knows that he is extraordinarily outmatched in this one, but he will bravely march into battle anyway. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion is looking to avenge what happened to his Alpha Academy teammate a few weeks ago on Raw. Otis was soundly defeated by Rusev, and to add insult to injury, the Bulgarian Brute continued his onslaught long after the bell rang. Does Tozawa have any shot against Rusev tonight? Probably not, but stranger things have happened in WWE. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad What time is WWE Raw on Netflix in the UK tonight? With the show taking place in Tampa, Florida this evening, it's another late night for UK WWE fans. Tonight's episode of WWE Raw will air live on Netflix from 1am BST on May 27 2025.
