Mindy Kaling snuggles with rumored baby daddy BJ Novak in cozy new snap
Mindy Kaling has sent fans into a frenzy as she snuggled next to her rumored baby daddy BJ Novak in her latest Instagram post shared on Sunday. The actress, 46 - who recently flaunted her slim frame amid Ozempic rumors - uploaded a series of photos as she paid a visit to a restaurant in L.A. with the actor. She also included a picture as she watched The Princess Bride later at home, but social media users were quick to point out that she was seemingly cozied up next to Novak - although she did not show their faces. Kaling was laying next to a person wearing dark navy pants - and her followers noticed that BJ was sporting the same trousers as they stopped by the eatery in another picture she shared. The pair both starred on the hit show The Office and previously dated amidst filming the series. Despite the split, Mindy and BJ have maintained a long-lasting friendship, with some fans speculating he could even be the father of her kids. She is mom to Katherine, seven, Spencer, four, and Anne, one - but has kept the identity of the father private. Novak is notably the godfather to her two eldest children and has been pictured spending time with Mindy and her little ones. Fans jumped to the comment section of her new Instagram carousel over the weekend to share their thoughts over Novak's cameo in some of the snaps. One penned, 'Not me seeing the first slide then going back to the first slide to see what color pants BJ was wearing.' Another wrote, 'Mindy to herself: how can I really support this restaurant... I know, post with BJ, then also post snuggled up with him on the couch! They'll go crazy! Us: OMG MOM AND DAD GO OUT TO DINNER.' 'Mindy you can't keep doing this to us!!!!' a fan added, and one shared, 'Tell me you're together without telling me you're together.' An Instagram user typed, 'When you're 80, will you finally just tell us?' and another commented, 'I ain't never wanted to know somebody business so much.' 'Honestly, I don't ever want her to tell us if she's with BJ. It won't be fun anymore,' another penned. Others also speculated that the image of Mindy seemingly cozying up to Novak was possibly a 'soft launch.' 'One hell of a soft launch,' one said, and another wrote, 'Is this the soft launch of @mindykaling and @bjnovak?' Kaling's post also included a selfie as she glanced down towards the camera while sporting a sleeveless vest and flashy gold jewelry. The actress was joined by Novak as they grabbed a bite to eat at an Ethiopian restaurant called Meals by Genet. The two stars also had the chance to mingle with the owner of the eatery. She gave her followers a look at the menu and then took a picture of a meal that she later indulged in. 'This weekend, @bjnovak and I stopped by my favorite restaurant in LA @mealsbygenet for dinner. Genet is a longtime friend and a truly amazing chef. 'If you're looking for incredible Ethiopian food at one of the late, great Jonathan Gold's favorite restaurants, please consider stopping in - it's tough to own a restaurant in LA right now and she would love the support,' Kaling added. After grabbing a bite to eat, Mindy explained that both she and Novak showed The Princess Bride to her two eldest children. She gave her followers a look at the menu and then took a picture of a meal that she later indulged in She wrote, 'I hate when people say the phrase "it's a perfect movie" but here I am saying it's a perfect movie. Kit was obsessed with Inigo Montoya's vengeance plot (shocking) and Spencer loved the Fire Swamp and the R.O.U.S.s.' Kaling concluded with, 'As a kid I was obsessed with @caryelwes and now I'm kind of a @mandypatinkin gal! Aging! Have a great Sunday everyone ❤️.' Fans have speculated that Novak is not only the rumored father of Mindy's kids, but that the two stars have also sparked up a romance once again. Earlier this year in February, BJ supported Kaling as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was seen giving her light kiss on the cheek during the festivities as he gave a speech for the Emmy-nominated star. When The Mindy Project actress addressed the crowd in attendance, she then called Novak an 'integral' part of her family. Back in 2022, Kaling told Entertainment Tonight, 'He's very good with children. He literally wrote a best-selling book called The Book With No Pictures for kids.' The creator of Never Have I Ever added, 'It comes very innately to him, you know, like being with children. So he's a great godfather.' She has also broken silence on rumors that BJ could be the father her children in the past as well. During an interview with Marie Claire, she said: 'It doesn't bother me. He's the godparent to both my kids - and they have such a great relationship.' And in March of this year, the pair were spotted on the red carpet at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars party in Beverly Hills. However the following month, it was reported by People that Novak has a 'new girlfriend' who is 17 years younger than him. The actor was romantically linked to TikTok influencer named Delaney Rowe who is from the state of Idaho. The pair were spotted on a few different occasions together, such as at the Bowery Hotel in New York City late last year in December.

US actors criticise use of antisemitism to shut down discussion on Gaza
A prominent American Jewish acting family has criticised the use of antisemitism to shut down discussions about Israel's policies in Gaza. Actors Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody also told The New York Times they thought the policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were threatening the safety of Jewish communities internationally. "The politics of what he's doing is the worst thing for Jewish people. It's like lighting a candle for anybody that has any antisemitic feelings," said Grody. "It's creating a generation of wounded and hurt kids who will understandably be very angry. I feel deeply troubled and horrified by what is happening in my name. So I am very proud of every Jewish person that stands up for the humanity of people in the Middle East." Patinkin concurred, referencing a line from the film The Princess Bride, in which he starred. New MEE newsletter: Jerusalem Dispatch Sign up to get the latest insights and analysis on Israel-Palestine, alongside Turkey Unpacked and other MEE newsletters "'You know, I have been in the revenge business so long, now that it's over, I do not know what to do with the rest of my life,'" he said. "And I ask Jews all over the world to consider what this man Benjamin Netanyahu, and his right-wing government, is doing to the Jewish people all over the world. "They are endangering not only the State of Israel, which I care deeply about and want to exist, but endangering the Jewish population all over the world." Industry pressure The US entertainment industry has been divided over the war in Gaza, which has killed more than 60,000 people since October 2023. Some artists, actors and production staff have alleged that there is a concerted campaign by industry executives to silence solidarity with Palestinians. How America's entertainment industry manufactured silence on Gaza Read More » Dozens of individuals - from actors and dancers to carpenters, set dressers, animators, composers and screenwriters - recently told Middle East Eye that they had been punished for speaking out against the conflict. In February, Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank assaulted and detained Hamdan Ballal, co-director of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land - an attack that Ballal's co-director, Basel Adra, suggested may have been "revenge on us for making the movie". Although the Academy had recognised Ballal's work with an Oscar just weeks earlier, it refused to condemn Israel's actions, issuing only a vague statement about "reports of violence" against Ballal and condemning "violence of this kind anywhere in the world". Speaking to The New York Times, Grody and Patinkin - who have been open advocates for a ceasefire in Gaza - criticised the use of antisemitism as justification for shutting down discussion about the conflict. "I hate the way some people are using antisemitism as a claim for anybody that is critical about a certain policy," said Grody. "As far as I am concerned, compassion for every person in Gaza is very Jewish, and the fact that I abhor the policies of the leader of that country does not mean I'm a self-hating Jew or I'm antisemitic."

Robin Wright was denied equal pay in 'House of Cards': Didn't have Oscar
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Actor Robin Wright, who essayed the role of Claire Underwood in the popular series "House of Cards", had a hard time demanding equal pay as her co-star, Kevin Spacey, as she didn't have an Oscar. "House of Cards" premiered on 2013 and ran for six seasons till 2018. Created by Beau Willimon, the series was an adaptation of Michael Dobbs's novel "House of Cards". Wright, also known for her work in projects such as "The Princess Bride" and "Forrest Gump", said David Fincher, who directed the first two episodes of the show first pitched the project to her. "When David Fincher introduced 'House of Cards' to me, he said: 'This is going to be the future, it's going to be look where we are now," the actor said according to the entertainment news outlet Variety. The 59-year-old actor admitted it was "difficult" to get equal pay unlike Spacey, who was an Academy Award winner. "Yes, it was difficult. I am going to be honest. When I said, 'I think it's only fair because my character became as popular as (Spacey's), they said 'We can't pay you the same as an actor, so we will make you exec producer and you can direct. We will give you three different paychecks.' I asked, 'Why can't you pay me as an actor?' 'Because you didn't win an Academy Award.'" Wright added being angry "wasn't going to change anything". "That has been the protocol for years - it just is. If you say, 'Why did so-and-so female not get the same amount as Will Smith?' They say, 'It will increase after you win.' Nomination, not so does it have to do anything with a raise," she added. "House of Cards" revolved around Frank Underwood (Spacey), a democrat appointed as the Secretary of State, along with his wife, played by Wright. He then sets out on a quest to seek revenge from those who betrayed him while he was successfully rising to supremacy. The series also featured Kate Mara, Rachel Brosnahan and Kristen Connolly.
