Mindy Kaling snuggles with rumored baby daddy BJ Novak in cozy new snap

Daily Mail16 hours ago
Mindy Kaling has sent fans into a frenzy as she snuggled next to her rumored baby daddy BJ Novak in her latest Instagram post shared on Sunday.
The actress, 46 - who recently flaunted her slim frame amid Ozempic rumors - uploaded a series of photos as she paid a visit to a restaurant in L.A. with the actor.
She also included a picture as she watched The Princess Bride later at home, but social media users were quick to point out that she was seemingly cozied up next to Novak - although she did not show their faces.
Kaling was laying next to a person wearing dark navy pants - and her followers noticed that BJ was sporting the same trousers as they stopped by the eatery in another picture she shared.
The pair both starred on the hit show The Office and previously dated amidst filming the series.
Despite the split, Mindy and BJ have maintained a long-lasting friendship, with some fans speculating he could even be the father of her kids.
She is mom to Katherine, seven, Spencer, four, and Anne, one - but has kept the identity of the father private.
Novak is notably the godfather to her two eldest children and has been pictured spending time with Mindy and her little ones.
Fans jumped to the comment section of her new Instagram carousel over the weekend to share their thoughts over Novak's cameo in some of the snaps.
One penned, 'Not me seeing the first slide then going back to the first slide to see what color pants BJ was wearing.'
Another wrote, 'Mindy to herself: how can I really support this restaurant... I know, post with BJ, then also post snuggled up with him on the couch! They'll go crazy! Us: OMG MOM AND DAD GO OUT TO DINNER.'
'Mindy you can't keep doing this to us!!!!' a fan added, and one shared, 'Tell me you're together without telling me you're together.'
An Instagram user typed, 'When you're 80, will you finally just tell us?' and another commented, 'I ain't never wanted to know somebody business so much.'
'Honestly, I don't ever want her to tell us if she's with BJ. It won't be fun anymore,' another penned.
Others also speculated that the image of Mindy seemingly cozying up to Novak was possibly a 'soft launch.'
'One hell of a soft launch,' one said, and another wrote, 'Is this the soft launch of @mindykaling and @bjnovak?'
Kaling's post also included a selfie as she glanced down towards the camera while sporting a sleeveless vest and flashy gold jewelry.
The actress was joined by Novak as they grabbed a bite to eat at an Ethiopian restaurant called Meals by Genet. The two stars also had the chance to mingle with the owner of the eatery.
She gave her followers a look at the menu and then took a picture of a meal that she later indulged in.
'This weekend, @bjnovak and I stopped by my favorite restaurant in LA @mealsbygenet for dinner. Genet is a longtime friend and a truly amazing chef.
'If you're looking for incredible Ethiopian food at one of the late, great Jonathan Gold's favorite restaurants, please consider stopping in - it's tough to own a restaurant in LA right now and she would love the support,' Kaling added.
After grabbing a bite to eat, Mindy explained that both she and Novak showed The Princess Bride to her two eldest children.
She gave her followers a look at the menu and then took a picture of a meal that she later indulged in
She wrote, 'I hate when people say the phrase "it's a perfect movie" but here I am saying it's a perfect movie. Kit was obsessed with Inigo Montoya's vengeance plot (shocking) and Spencer loved the Fire Swamp and the R.O.U.S.s.'
Kaling concluded with, 'As a kid I was obsessed with @caryelwes and now I'm kind of a @mandypatinkin gal! Aging! Have a great Sunday everyone ❤️.'
Fans have speculated that Novak is not only the rumored father of Mindy's kids, but that the two stars have also sparked up a romance once again.
Earlier this year in February, BJ supported Kaling as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He was seen giving her light kiss on the cheek during the festivities as he gave a speech for the Emmy-nominated star.
When The Mindy Project actress addressed the crowd in attendance, she then called Novak an 'integral' part of her family.
Back in 2022, Kaling told Entertainment Tonight, 'He's very good with children. He literally wrote a best-selling book called The Book With No Pictures for kids.'
The creator of Never Have I Ever added, 'It comes very innately to him, you know, like being with children. So he's a great godfather.'
She has also broken silence on rumors that BJ could be the father her children in the past as well.
During an interview with Marie Claire, she said: 'It doesn't bother me. He's the godparent to both my kids - and they have such a great relationship.'
And in March of this year, the pair were spotted on the red carpet at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars party in Beverly Hills.
However the following month, it was reported by People that Novak has a 'new girlfriend' who is 17 years younger than him.
The actor was romantically linked to TikTok influencer named Delaney Rowe who is from the state of Idaho.
The pair were spotted on a few different occasions together, such as at the Bowery Hotel in New York City late last year in December.

Unreleased Beyoncé music stolen from car in Atlanta

Unreleased music by US singer Beyoncé, along with footage, show plans and concert set lists have been stolen from a car in Atlanta. Police in Georgia are searching for a suspect after the back window of a rental car being used by her choreographer was smashed, and items, including pen drives and two Apple MacBooks, were stolen. Christopher Grant, the singer's choreographer, and Diandre Blue, a dancer, told police they parked their rental car, a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, at a food hall in the city at about 8.09pm on July 8. The pair returned to the car just after 9pm to discover the boot's window had been damaged and two suitcases had been taken. Mr Grant told officers that 'he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé', the police incident report stated. Two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, as well as luxury clothing and accessories were reported stolen, according to the incident report. Officers searched an area where the stolen laptop and headphones were tracked by using the devices' location services, but it is not known if they were recovered. The report identifies a possible suspect vehicle as a 2025 red Hyundai Elantra. Responding officers were able to identify 'light prints' at the scene, and security cameras in the car park captured the incident. The Atlanta Police Department said it had secured an arrest warrant for a suspect, whose identity was withheld. Beyoncé kicked off her highly anticipated tour in late April, taking her Grammy-winning album Cowboy Carter to stadiums in the US and Europe. The Telegraph gave her Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opening night a five-star review, with chief music critic Neil McCormick saying: 'It was a show of spectacle and seduction, of bone-rattling volume and heart-beating musicality, of surprisingly hard-hitting politics and uplifting emotion. With 32 Grammy wins and 99 nominations, the 43-year-old mother of three is the most-awarded and most-nominated artist in Grammy history. The singer will end her tour with two Las Vegas nights in late July.

Drake's friend stabbed in mob attack hours after seeing star's Wireless gig

Hassan Ali was stabbed hours after attending his friend Drake's North London gig at Wireless Festival this weekend when he was mobbed by a gang of men while in his car. The rapper, who goes by the stage name of Top5, was in a white Mercedes when he was surrounded by a gang, and the vehicle was smashed in before he was stabbed in the leg. A Met Police said officers were called at around 12.15am on Monday morning with a report of a stabbing, as a spokesman said: 'The victim, a man in his 20s was approached by a group who damaged his car before stabbing him in the leg. He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. 'Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.' Distressing footage shoes a group of roughly a dozen men climbing onto the vehicle and stamping on the windscreen. Footage then shows a number of men opening the door and kicking the driver while trying to drag him away. Earlier in the evening, Top5 posted social media videos of him watching Drake's performance from the VIP section of the Finsbury Park festival. The rapper is thought to have caused tensions by telling fans on social media: 'There is no real killers in London.' The Met Police have urged anyone with information to call 101 or reach out on X and quote CAD105/17JULY. Last year Ali was cleared of a murder charge in his native Toronto, after which he took to social media to thank his lawyer. His only other two social media posts on Instagram show him meeting controversial rapper Kanye West on his birthday, and another tile largely of him and Drake, which he captioned: 'The President & The Boy.' Meanwhile during his three-night headline run at Wireless, Drake, 38, said London MCs were the 'best lyricists in the world'. 'No disrespect to America, but nobody in the world can out-rap London rappers,' he said, adding: 'This is the highest level – this is what I aspire to be.' It marked Drake's return to full-scale UK shows and the second of three back-to-back headline sets – a Wireless first – after he signed a multimillion-pound deal to top the bill each night of the festival. Drake's set featured tracks from across his career – including Nonstop, Know Yourself, and God's Plan. His run at the north London festival forms part of his ongoing 2025 tour. Got a story? Amanda Holden makes feelings on John Torode's racism allegation clear

MasterChef host John Torode has revealed he is the subject of a racism allegation following an investigation into his former co-star Gregg Wallace's alleged misconduct Amanda Holden has publicly shown her support to MasterChef host John Torode after he was accused of using a racist remark on set. The BBC presenter, 59, was dragged into former co-star Gregg Wallace's investigation yesterday. Wallace has been removed from his job on the hit cooking show after a nearly year-long probe into alleged misconduct claims. Some 50 people made fresh misconduct claims against the TV presenter, according to BBC News, though Wallace denied all allegations. ‌ It has emerged two standalone allegations were made against other people, one of which was the use of racist language made by Torode. Speaking on the claims, Torode said: "Following publication of the Executive Summary of the investigation into Gregg Wallace while working on MasterChef, I am aware of speculation that I am one of the two other individuals against whom an allegation has been upheld. ‌ "For the sake of transparency, I confirm that I am the individual who is alleged to have used racial language on one occasion. The allegation is that I did so sometime in 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and that the person I was speaking with did not believe that it was intended in a malicious way and that I apologised immediately afterwards." He added: "I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened. However, I want to be clear that I've always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. I'm shocked and saddened by the allegation as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence." ‌ Torode posted his statement on his Instagram account, where he chose to keep the comments off to avoid replies. However, Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda appeared to show her support for the presenter as she was one of the 5,000 people to like the post. Other famous faces who shared their support were Strictly Come Dancing's Nancy Xu and This Morning's resident cleaning expert Lynsey. It came just hours after Wallace's statement, in which he said he was "deeply sorry for any distress caused". He added he "never set out to harm or humiliate" in the wake of the report, which said one allegation of "unwelcome physical contact" was upheld. In all, 45 out of 83 allegations against Wallace were substantiated, the report by MasterChef production company Banijay UK and led by law firm Lewis Silkin found. ‌ The report found that the "majority of the allegations against Wallace (94%) related to behaviour which is said to have occurred between 2005 and 2018", with only one allegation substantiated after 2018. MasterChef returned to our screens in 2005 - after a four-year break - under the guise of MasterChef Goes Large and has since been branded as MasterChef. Two Christmas specials scheduled to air in the festive period last year were pulled by the BBC amid the investigation. The BBC said in a statement that it has informed Wallace that the broadcaster has "no plans to work with him in the future" and welcomes the publication of the investigation's findings. ‌ 'The investigation details a substantial number of allegations of inappropriate conduct spanning 19 years. This behaviour falls below the values of the BBC and the expectations we have for anyone who works with or for us," the BBC said. 'Although the full extent of these issues were not known at the relevant time, opportunities were missed to address this behaviour – both by the production companies running MasterChef and the BBC. We accept more could and should have been done sooner. "We want to thank all those who took part in the investigation, including those who first raised concerns directly with the BBC in November last year. We apologise to everyone who has been impacted by Mr Wallace's behaviour." The BBC added: 'Lewis Silkin's findings include two further allegations which were upheld, relating to other individuals. The BBC takes these findings very seriously and we have asked Banijay UK to take action to address these issues, which is underway. This will be completed as a priority. 'The BBC will not be commenting further at this stage, but we are clear we expect the highest standards of respect at work to be upheld on the production."
