Jessie J Clears The Air On 'Cancer Is Gone' Post In Another Emotional Update

Jessie J's post-cancer surgery manifestation session may have confused some fans. The singer, who has stayed open with her cancer journey, has once again used her social media platform to shed more light on where she is currently at since leaving the operating table. Jessie J shared her early cancer diagnosis with the world back in April alongside an announcement that she would give one last performance in June before her surgery. The "Price Tag" singer returned to Instagram to clarify what she meant by an earlier post in which she discussed the pros and cons of her health journey. She seized the opportunity to clarify that what she meant by "The cancer has all gone" was only a positive manifestation of her recovery and not a fact. This means the singer has yet to receive any official report from her team of doctors. "I don't have my results yet. I added the [fingers-crossed emoji] in thinking people would understand, and clearly a lot didn't. A weird situation. My fault for not being clearer," she reiterated. Jessie explained that she just had her surgery six nights ago and emphasized that treating cancer is not as easy as getting a verdict just a few days after the procedure. She is, however, not losing faith and sight of what she truly desires, which is total recovery from the life-threatening illness. Jessie banked on the strength of her significant other and son as she braved the pain of getting surgical treatment for her breast cancer. Her partner, Chanan Colman, was pictured in one of the clips sharing a deep kiss with the singer as they held hands and almost teared up. As shared by The Blast, the performer asked to see her son on another slide. She recalled playing mental images of her son expressing his love for her, and she reciprocated, all while the doctors got to work. The singer's two-year-old son was quick to put that imagination into action as he laughed happily next to his mother on her hospital bed. The singer even educated her son about how the container attached to the drip inserted into her breast worked. She informed her followers that she would remain transparent about the entire recovery process. In one of the 16 slides, Jessie proved her worth as a true-born talent when she belted out a tune while waiting to be wheeled into the operating room. "I've now been at the hospital for six and a half hours, and I'm still waiting to go down to the theatre," the star expressed in the video. The "The Voice Australia" coach has shown resilience and bravery throughout her battle with the terminal disease. Her performance at the Capital's Summertime Ball just days before her important surgery represented a defining moment in her shining musical career. She emphasized the significance of the performance to her audience in a short speech before flexing her vocals. In her words, "Today, this show, is my last show before I go and beat breast cancer. So, it's so special to me. You have no idea." She expressed her gratitude to her baby daddy, her son, and her family for their support this far, stressing how lucky it feels to be alive. The mother-of-one spoke about some of the challenges she had to overcome in the days of preparing her body and soul for her surgery. As reported by The Blast, Jessie confessed that she experienced one of her low moments earlier in the month. Describing it as her lowest moment yet, the singer explained that between juggling work, her cancer, life, and raising her young son, her mind felt very exhausted. She began to experience bouts of panic attacks, crushing tears, consuming anger, and a series of overwhelming emotions that left her in a terrible mood. The singer soon found a helpful solution to alleviate her pain, and it was her feasting on a corn cob. According to her: "Turns out it's extremely hard to panic or cry while eating one. Highly recommend. Instant [sic] mood shift." The singer stressed in a follow-up post that she found it helpful to share her troubles and let them out so she could let the positive energy in. On finally becoming a mother two years after suffering a painful miscarriage in 2021, the singer explained that it represented a happy ending in the story of her life. She explained to PEOPLE how much she adored her kid and her son. "The gratefulness and the joy that I experience every day, waking up knowing he's in my house, and he's alive and well... Until you experience it, it's so hard to really understand," Jessie said. She stressed that the realization of how lucky she was did not really dawn on her until she held her son in her arms for the first time. The singer expressed how special it felt to find the love of her life in her current partner and to make things even more magical by welcoming a son together. Jessie and her beau Colman began dating in 2021 and became first-time parents in 2023. Sending lots of love, energy, and light Jessie J's way!

Glasgow girl Nyree Huyser, 40, was mentored by global megastar Rita Ora, 34, on the hit show down under after impressing the telly judge with her unique spin on Demi Lovato hit Stone Cold. And she's saving a seat for Anywhere hitmaker Rita at her upcoming gig. Nyree, from Clarkson, said: 'She's more than welcome to come along and we can share a glass of wine or two'. The talented Scot made The Voice Australia judge Rita's top three, but narrowly missed out on a spot in the final. Following the 2023 blind audition, mentor Rita said: 'I'm shaking. I felt like you were singing like it was your last chance. 'You really did not disappoint. Your story is what's going to potentially make you win this competition.' The show wasn't Nyree's first bid for stardom. The bubbly musician applied for noughties talent hunt Pop Idol and years later on UK primetime hit Britain's Got Talent. She also tried out for Popstars: The Rivals - a 2002 singing contest fronted by Pete Waterman, Louis Walsh and Geri Halliwell. Nyree later emigrated to New Zealand with cricket coach hubby Carl - who batted balls in Pollok, Glasgow. The mum-of-three put her stardom bid on ice as she juggled dreams of fame with raising Hayden, eight, Charlotte, six, and Ollie, three. Rita Ora looks incredible as she strips off to thong bikini to enjoy an ice lolly by the pool She said: 'You kind of lose a bit of yourself when you have kids because you've got new priorities. You don't think about yourself any more. 'I never lost the passion, but I stopped doing things for myself and just focused on them. 'I thought, 'well, that's it then, maybe I've had my day'.' In a last-ditch attempt to pursue her dream, Nyree replied to a casting call for the Australian version of The Voice. She said: 'I got a lot of doors closed in my face, but I kept plodding on. 'If somebody tells me I can't do something, I'm going to try and do it. 'Being on the show is the most nervous I've ever been in my life - I was shaking. It was like my feet were glued to the ground and then the doors opened. 'I walked out onto The Voice stage and you could hear a pin drop. I just started singing, it was frightening, but all four judges turned around for me.' 4 Nyree is saving a seat for Rita at her show 4 Nyree put her stardom bid on ice as she juggled dreams of fame with raising her kids Credit: Supplied Nyree was left 'conflicted' after bagging an incredible 'four-chair turn' and was forced to select a mentor. But she went with superstar Rita who joined the star-studded panel which also includes R&B legend Jason Derulo and respective Australian Idol stars Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian. She gushed: 'I picked Rita because she's just so inspiring. 'I definitely made the right decision and I've made memories that I'll just cherish forever. 'I didn't even see the first three judges turn around and then when the fourth chair turned, I was like, 'I can't believe it, I've got all four chairs'.' The talent show hopeful added: 'Rita was lovely and approachable. 'I thought I'd be really intimidated by her but she's really friendly and down to earth. 'She was always there to answer my questions and offer up advice.' Homecoming show Nyree will bring her The Power of Celine show to Glasgow's Eastwood Park Theatre later this month. The singer admits it will be a full circle moment for her and can't wait to get in front of the Scottish crowd. She said: 'I wanted to come back and see the family and thought that it would be great to put on a gig. 'It's a bit of a homecoming to show the world what I've been doing over in New Zealand. 'I'm excited to be back because you can't get enough of Scotland. 'This was my local theatre and I remember performing in musicals here when I was growing up. 'Now I get to headline. It's going to be an emotional homecoming, I can tell.' She added: 'My childhood pal James Grant will be joining me alongside a few local dancers. 'I asked James to join me as we go way back - we used to perform in competitions back in the day. 'There will be lots of surprises in there too - the audience is in for a treat.' And as she rehearses from the backroom of Doherty's Bar in Hamilton, Nyree hopes that pubs across the country will belt out her next batch of songs. She said: 'I'd love to release some more music. 'I'm focusing on my second album, which will be inspired by Celine and Adele. 'And of course, I'd love to do more shows, I just want to keep on performing.' - Log onto for tickets for the June 27 show

First look of the brand new The Voice Australia panel after major superstar joined the cast

The Voice Australia has a brand new look after Sporty Spice Melanie C was added to the panel of judges for the upcoming 2025 season of the singing competition. Mel is joining former Boyzone member Ronan Keating and '80s American star Richard Marx in the big red chairs. The international line up is rounded out by returning coach Kate Miller-Heidke, who is the only Aussie on the judging panel this year. In a high-octane trailer for the upcoming season, Mel C is touted as 'an icon', 'a pop culture phenomenon' and the biggest viewer drawcard for the Channel Seven reality show. 'There's only five of them in the world… and we've got one,' fellow coach Ronan brags in the trailer. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, . 'She made history as part of the biggest selling female group of all time,' he adds. 'We all want you bad,' Mel is seen telling one hopeful contestant after smashing her big red button. 'You've got so much girl power!' she tells another aspiring female pop star in the first look. 'With a spice girl is where you belong!'. In yet another power play for a team member, Melanie openly admits she's relying on her Spice Girl status to reel in the best singers. 'I was a Spice Girl. That is my pitch,' she says bluntly. The Voice formula relies on an international superstar judge battling out local legends for the best singing talent in the competition. UK singer Rita Ora held that position for two seasons alongside Aussie veterans Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy. The famously private singer said she is 'missing life Down Under AU,' as she captioned carousel of photos taken during filming for The Voice Mel has been quietly dating Australian model Chris Dingwall since at least the middle of last year. In 2024, her extensive DJ tour saw her visit Australia twice within six months and she enjoyed an extended holiday with Chris off the end of her busy work schedule. In the last 12 months, the blossoming relationship has gone from strength to strength, The famously private singer said she is 'missing life Down Under AU,' as she captioned carousel of photos taken during filming for The Voice. The collection happy snaps, posted last week, included a rare selfie with her beau. Mel was first announced in a fresh new The Voice judging panel in January, after longtime judges Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora, and one season wonder Jason DeRulo vacated their big red chairs. Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, who started on The Voice in 2019, was the last man standing until October 2024, when he sensationally quit. 'I have some news to share with you all regarding my role as a Voice coach,' the original Australian Idol winner penned in an announcement made to Instagram. 'I have made the decision to take a break from the best red chair on the planet... Whoever has the audacity to take my chair, don't get too comfortable… I will wrestle for it back with zero dignity when I'm ready to return,' he wrote. Viewers have expressed mixed reactions to the shakeup, with some questioning the lack of Aussie faces. 'I just know the network scrambled when Guy [Sebastian] announced his departure,' one user commented on Instagram. 'And the death of Voice Australia is complete,' added another. 'I might actually watch this year now that there is a Spice Girl for a judge,' one person countered. Logie Awards on 3 August, for which both The Voice and Kate Miller-Heidke are nominees.
