Ramayana's budget: Not Rs 1600 crore, Ranbir's film is Rs 4000 crore epic in 2 parts

The upcoming film 'Ramayana', directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is being made on a staggering budget of over Rs 4000 crore, spread across two parts. With this, the film is set to make history as the most expensive Indian movie ever made. Earlier, it was speculated that the film's budget would be around Rs 1600 crore, but a source close to the project has now confirmed that the final cost is nearing $500 million, making it one of the most expensive films ever made in film is being mounted at an international level and by the time both films would be made, the budget would reach over Rs 4000 crore. The team is planning to have world-class VFX and special effects to give the best experience to the audiences,' the source film is said to be a VFX-heavy project and is being crafted for a grand IMAX experience.
