Cameron Johnson is an amazing player (Image via Instagram / @camjohnson23) The Denver Nuggets have made some big moves this offseason. They added Cameron Johnson and Tim Hardaway Jr. to their team. Both players are excited to join the team. They are even more excited at the prospect of playing under the league's top offensive coordinator, Nikola Jokic. Recently, they appeared on a podcast and could be heard gushing about it for a long time. Nuggets' new additions Cameron Johnson and Tim Hardaway Jr. eager to thrive alongside Nikola Jokić This summer, the Denver Nuggets made a comeback. They went out and established themselves as a major threat to the Oklahoma City Thunder, repeating the previous season after losing to the eventual champion. To increase their bench strength, they signed Tim Hardaway Jr. from the Detroit Pistons after trading Michael Porter Jr. to the Brooklyn Nets for Cameron Johnson. The Serbian center's two new colleagues are thrilled about the chance to play with him. On the podcast The Young Man and the Three, Cameron Johnson recently appeared and stated: "Honestly, a big part of [being excited to play with Jokić] is not having to play against him anymore.. He's a problem, that's it, period. He can pass, rebound, score -- you don't know what you're gonna get any given day, like what mode he's in. It's an uncanny ability. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Alarme c/ Câmera Mais moderna do Mercado por até 40% Off Alarme Verisure Saiba Mais Undo He has spatial awareness, just how he feels a game, how he understands the game, like he does it in a way different than anybody else in the league." He continued: "From a peer numbers perspective, you're not really touching his output over the past couple of years, and it's not accidental, like he's just that good," Johnson said. "So to be able to play off that, to be able to make those reads, like me and Tim [Hardaway Jr.] both will really enjoy playing off these high level players where we're able to cut, find open spots, get up and down the court, make the right play, and it can just be simple. .' Cameron Johnson in action (Image via Instagram / @camjohnson23) He then concluded: 'Knowing that everybody whose on the court, they're going to make the right play, they're going to make the right read. And I think that's the kind of basketball that the front office is driving for and that's really how they played for the most part. Since I've been in the league, and they've been really good at it." Both Cameron Johnson and Tim Hardaway Jr. are ready to start the season. They want to help the team win. They believe playing with Nikola Jokić will make their jobs easier. For Denver Nuggets fans, this is exciting news. The team is adding good players to support their stars. With Nikola Jokić leading the way, the Denver Nuggets look ready to compete again. Reports: Tim Hardaway Jr. reaches deal with Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets reached an agreement on a one-year deal with Tim Hardaway Jr. on Tuesday, according to multiple media reports. Per The Athletic, the deal is for the veteran minimum. Hardaway, 33, was acquired last summer by the Detroit Pistons along with three draft picks from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Quentin Grimes. The shooting guard went on to become a key contributor in Detroit's resurgence in 2024-25 that resulted in the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, where the Pistons lost to the New York Knicks in the first round. Starting and appearing in 77 regular-season games for the Pistons, Hardaway averaged 11.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 36.8 percent from 3-point range. Denver has enjoyed an impressive haul in the early going of free agency, adding Jonas Valanciunas and Cameron Johnson via trade and inking returnee Bruce Brown Jr. in the period's first few days. --Field Level Media Field Level Media 2023 - All Rights Reserved

Cade Cunningham guarantees Pistons will force Game 7: ‘We'll be back'

Cade Cunningham's message was simple. 'We'll be back,' he said after the Knicks' 106-103 Game 5 loss to the Pistons Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. Tuesday's win kept the Pistons — who are now down 3-2 — alive for the series. And their stars are bullish on their chances to win Game 6 and return to New York for a Game 7. 'Very confident,' Tim Hardaway Jr. said. Ausar Thompson said the same thing. Jason Szenes / New York Post If the Pistons can win Game 6 on Thursday and return to New York, they should like their chances in a Game 7. They have owned Madison Square Garden throughout the year with a 4-1 record at the arena between the regular season and playoffs. 'Knowing that it's gonna be a hostile environment, knowing that it's gonna be a tough win, and everybody being locked in,' Cunningham said of Madison Square Garden. 'When our backs are against the wall, we're better. We play better, we're more together. I think tonight was an example of that, and now we gotta apply that to the crib. 'It's everything you dream of. Playing with a full arena, a bunch of people booing you, that's everything you dream of.' In the regular season, the Pistons had the same exact 22-19 record at home and on the road. 'Our guys, as crazy as it sounds, they feed off of it,' Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff said of playing on the road. 'They feed off the energy of the opponent's crowd, talking s–t, making noise. They embrace the chaos and they're comfortable there. Not everybody is that way. Some people need the support of their home crowd and all sorts of things. But our guys embrace the chaos and they're extremely comfortable, [that's where] they play their best.'

The Pistons' Cade Cunningham has created the most problems, but a veteran shooter is also causing fits for the Knicks in this first round series. Tim Hardaway Jr. has been letting it fly from deep through the first four games, hitting 14 total 3-pointers so far. That doesn't even begin to show just how many looks Hardaway is getting from beyond the arc. Knicks vs. Pistons prediction Hardaway is averaging 12.5 3-point attempts per game this series, shooting at least six in every game. If not for a flukey Game 2, when he went 0-for-8 from the floor and 0-for-6 from three, Hardaway's scoring numbers would look much prettier. In the other three games, he's made at least three 3s. It's clear the Pistons see Hardaway as their second-best offensive option behind Cunningham. Betting on the NBA? While the shots haven't consistently gone down this series, Hardaway will get plenty of chances to hit the Over on his 3-pointer over/under on Tuesday night.
