To use Timefall Shelter is quite surprisingly simple. All you need to do is walk beneath the protective canopy. There you will find a distinctive blue glow or the light line on the ground, marking an active safe zone.
Once you are inside it, Sam's hood will automatically deploy. It will signal protection from the aging effects of Timefall. Your cargo containers, too, begin to repair instantly.
The shelter provides more than just some rain cover. With it, your canteen will automatically refill. It is also crucial for some stamina management during gruelling treks. Quite crucially, structure here emits deterrents and repels all nearby BTs, creating a temporary safe haven. If you need a breather, just press and hold Square to rest under cover till the weather clears up and you feel ready to move on. You could even hold Triangle to offload cargo and leave it stored safely under a shelter while you scout ahead.
