Doodle Comes Back from Groomer with Mullet and Beard, and He's a Full-on Redneck Icon
Doodle Comes Back from Groomer with Mullet and Beard, and He's a Full-on Redneck Icon originally appeared on Parade Pets. We just love pet parents with a sense of humor, and one Doodle dog has just that. Dad brought this pup to get his hair d one, and he strutted out of the groomer's rocking a full-blown mullet and the kind of scruffy beard that screams "backwoods legend." We're talking business in the front, party in the back. He looks like he's about to shotgun a can of dog-friendly beer and start a backyard band with the neighbor's Basset Hound. Just watch this to see what I mean. This pooch is doing both Travis Tritt and Billy Ray Cyrus proud. The hilarious caption reads, "My husband is NEVER allowed to pick the dog's haircut ever again!" And I'm with one person in the comments who said, "Ma'am, your husband should be the ONLY one picking the dog's haircut moving forward." The comments on this hilarious video do not disappoint, and someone else added, "The dog is paying child support to three baby mommas and has a 400 credit score." Another person added, "He absolutely looks ready for some summer tailgating parties. I think you should get him a Budweiser bandana and just lean into it!" If you're looking for a new groomer for your own fur baby, here are some tips to hopefully make the process go smoother. Just like with any other dog service (veterinary care, boarding, doggy daycare), your first course of action is to ask your friends and family where they take their dog. If they trust their usual groomer to do a good job, it's a great sign for your pet. Here's another pup rocking the business in the front and the party in the back! So many groomers have social media, so check Instagram and Facebook to see if they have a social media page where you can see their work and read reviews from their clients. If you're nervous, schedule an appointment for your pup to have a bath, or ask for a consult. Like with any business, ask questions. Ask what they do if your dog is nervous, how they handle nail trims, if anal gland expressing is extra — all those things. If they are just bathing your pup, you can get a chance to know them and check out their vibe before you trust them to cut your dog's hair. Be very specific about what you want. If you want a teddy cut, ask for it. If you don't want your pooch to be shaved, tell them. Bring photos of cuts your dog has received previously that you like, or photos from similar cuts on the same breed.

Jason Aldean and Travis Tritt bring 'It's A Great Day To Be Alive' to CMA Fest 2025 ABC special
For the past year, Georgia-native country hitmaker Jason Aldean has chased cementing his status as a 30-time chart-topping performer. He arrived at CMA Fest to celebrate his latest hit "Whiskey Drink," achieving that success. As well, he metaphorically tipped his ever-present cowboy hat to one of his childhood musical heroes, the Grand Ole Opry member and "Class of '89" favorite Travis Tritt. The two country singers performed a rendition of "It's A Great Day To Be Alive" at CMA Fest 2025 in Nashville on June 5, the festival's opening night. The performance will be part of the ABC CMA Fest TV special on June 26. 'This next song's not one of mine, but it's by one of my musical heroes growing up in Georgia,' Aldean said before the performance. 'This guy was from Georgia, and 25 years ago, he had a hit song… so we're going to play this one for you.' CMA Fest 2025 on ABC: How to watch, stream special hosted by Ashley McBryde and Cody Johnson Aldean began singing Tritt's 2000 hit, belting out: "I got rice cooking in the microwave / Got a three day beard I don't plan to shave / And it's a goofy thing but I just gotta say, hey / I'ma doing alright." Mid-way through the song, Aldean invited Tritt to join him onstage. As the duo strummed guitars, they sang the tune's feel-good chorus alongside lively fiddle. "And it's a great day to be alive / I know the sun's still shining / When I close my eyes." The song originally appeared on Darrell Scott's record "Aloha from Nashville" in 1997, which Scott wrote after recovering from a back injury. When Scott was finally able to care for himself again after being bedridden for a week, the tune of gratitude poured out of him. Tritt released his version of the track on his album "Down the Road I Go," with the single reaching number two on Billboard's Hot Country Chart. Audrey Gibbs is a music journalist at The Tennessean.
